EUROREGION AS THE STRUCTURE OF CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION

Summary/Abstract: The paper systematically analyses the organization of specific units’ - Euroregions - activities, covering all six Euroregions acting in Lithuania. There is discussed the position of these units based on the conception of co-operative management within the context of different typologies. The authors distinguish the types of the administrative structure of Euroregions acting in Lithuania. The paper highlights the importance of strategic organization, the problems of regular financing, as well as capacities to participate in the European Union support projects.
