Summary/Abstract: Intense socio-economic development and growth of importance of cities in worldwide economy diversify space of the territorial units. In consequence, in the area of city, there are two kinds of regions: with high level of welfare and degraded regions. Revitalisation has a goal to lead the area from the crisis. Many different activities undertaken in the process of revitalisation should bring benefits for different business groups. Society that live in a degraded region because of the revitalisation process gain new opportunities and the improvement of quality of lifein long term. As a result of revitalisation, the cohesion and density of city are enhanced. There are changes of functions realized in selected area and adjusting to new conditions in global economy.
