Summary/Abstract: Today, the influence of the outside world for a child has multidimensionalnature dominated by the development of new technologies. The impact of the virtual environment created mainly by the mass media and community Website begins to dominate,what is not always beneficial to the child. At the same time once the dominant influence, which is the influence of parents, grandparents, family and the influence of teachers,or more broadly, the school is significantly decreased. Parents and educators areforced to take a series of actions to make their influence in the education effective. One of the methods is based on the psychological mechanism of persuasion. This mechanism extensively and with great effect is used by the mass media, advertising, enterprise various types of politicians to influence the views, opinions, actions of people. And how isit in the upbringing? Do teachers and educators pursuing educational objectives appeal to this mechanism and with what result? What are the factors affecting its effectiveness?What is the role of persuasion in education and how to distinguish between persuasionand manipulation? This article is an attempt to answer these questions.
