Summary/Abstract: Article is an attempt to show the importance of the contact teacher with parents in building the teacher’s authority. It contains a brief description of the factors influencing teacher authority and shows their role in this process, with particular emphasis on the factors attributable to the teacher, so those which he have impact on. Among these factors, especially important are personality and temperament of the teacher, because they fundamentally affect the nature of his interpersonal relationships. These relationships are the basis on which it is possible to cultivate the authority of an immediate character, and to that kind of authority we should include the teacher’s authority. One of the very important relationships, which influence the level of authority of the teacher is the teacher-parent relationship, which building is consider in this publication.
