Summary/Abstract: Personnel controlling is more and more commonly used in Polish firms. Thatis so due to the growing importance of the proper management of human resources.Pocztowski defines personnel controlling as an internal system of controlling processesin specific management areas such as, among others: personnel policy, effects and costsof work, remunerating or development of work potential [see: Pocztowski 1998].The aim of the article is to discuss issues connected with personnel controlling and presentthe role of controlling in the management of human resources
