Coaching as a Tool Supporting Conscious Career Building – Theoretical Perspective

Summary/Abstract: Coaching is a word that has constantly been on the lips of not solely business people for some time now. Despite being no panacea for all problems, it has been gaining increasing popularity in Poland too. Although different varieties of coaching exist, each of them aims to improve the client’s standard of living and quality of life, facilitate his or her choice of an appropriate way to fulfill desired objectives and prepare him or her for consciously carving own paths of both personal and professional life. The article aims to present general principles of and information about coaching, its varieties and benefits, especially in the area of professional career building, as the author gathers that it is useful in both young employees facing career path choices and mature individuals who consciously climb their selected career ladders.
