Summary/Abstract: This particular article will report on the results of research on the topic of the proportions of being supported and showing support to others by parents of children with a lethal defect - in this case the Edwards Syndrome. The analysis has been narrowed down to parents of the said children who are also a part of an internet forum which helps relatives of children with lethal defects. On the basis of netnographic interviews conducted with the parents it was possible to identify how much support they have received, in which forms did they receive the said support and what was the dynamic of it. The support shown by the parents who received help on the forum has been analysed similarly. It has been observed that the parents which took part in the research have received more support than they have shown to others on the forum. What is more, the early stages of being on the aforementioned forum by the parents, where the ones where they received the most support but at the same time they have shown the least support to others.
