THE ROLE, THE FUNCTION, AND THE IMPORTANCE OF CHILDREN’S CREATIVITY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR MUSICALITY

Summary/Abstract: Children's musical creativity is of special importance because it develops children's imagination, fantasy, creativity, ideo-aesthetic sense, as well as their rhythmic, melodic, poetic and social feeling. The expressive power of art is inexplicable, and in particular, that of music. By performing and playing, children develop their musical dispositions in a comprehensive way, gaining knowledge, skills and musical habits. This whole process is carried out in a systematic, completely natural and spontaneous way. The different childhood experiences and the knowledge they have, including those they gain during their daily activity, the children present very well through their songs, all synchronized in one. The role, function and importance of children's creativity for the development of their musicality is essential, because through them children spontaneously interpret different musical intervals such as that of the second, the tertiary, the quartet, the quintet, etc., and at the same time other different rhythmic units. Evidence of this are the songs presented in this paper collected during the period 2005-2007, in Bujanovac and in the surrounding villages.
