Summary/Abstract: Surface texture is the finishing stage of a material in which different functions and responsibilities are loaded. It is important that it is the contact part as well as the place seen from the outside. The term ergonomics originated with the description of the relationship between work and people. The work can be associated with the action performed. In this context, the term ergonomics has also expanded in content and has found a place for itself in many scientific fields. Spatial design can be incorporated into human dimensions, suitability to function, and psychological, sociological and cultural inputs. In this context, the surface texture has an important role in ergonomics. It is possible to describe the incompatibility of ergonomics with expressions such as safe / unsafe, compatible / incompatible, healthy / unhealthy. There will be the possibility of accidents that may result in different results in places that are designed or implemented in a way that does not meet these conditions. In this study, the concept of ergonomics is discussed through tissue perception. It is desired to draw attention to the fact that the feature called surface texture has important tasks and that the materials for the function selected with this awareness can provide many features such as ease of use, comfort, health, hygiene, reliability.
