Summary/Abstract: Historically, during our civilization, no other time apart from ours has had such a strong impact on the future. Archaeological findings prove the existence on earth in the last five million years of a succession of civilizations that have disap peared for various reasons, alleged. In the first 15–16 years of the third millennium, there is still no answer to the question whether science has a unitary character. The XXXIII-rd Session of the UNESCO General Conference adopted on October 19, 2005 unanimously and with acclamation, the Universal Declaration on Bioethics and Human Rights which was meant to be an international ethi cal code of scientists, having the mission to prevent the use of science for destructive purposes.
