Summary/Abstract: Modern changes do not bypass our primary education either. Various novelties are often accepted without any prior verification, most often even without an adequate preparation of those who put them into practice. Often alien experiences are accepted at their face value and „grafted”, forgetting the peculiarities of our environment and language. However, some ordinary problems in the work with children remain and they are simply impossible to be skipped over. Therefore the aim of this paper is to warn experts (first of all pedagogues and psychologists) to pay more attention to these everyday real problems and help teachers to solve them well. As an example here we have taken the difficulties facing teachers in their work with children when it comes to the two basic school activities (initial reading and writing), but this is only an attempt to open the problems that more and more burden pedagogic workers, the problems that are a result of universal superficiality and formalism with which the social community treats education in general..
