Financial support of organic farms in the European Union – macroeconomic approach

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present and characterize the macroeconomic conditions that are for maintaining the financial assistance for agriculture and organic farms in the European Union. For this reason statistics on organic farming in Europe and the world were analyzed. The author collected a number of papers on the European Union's finances, with a special focus on spending on agriculture. The author made a synthetic overview of economic events and phenomena that affect or may affect the development of organic farming.
