Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to show some analogies between an epistolary discourse and a typical oral interaction, for instance: conversation. We present the structure of letters and the structure of conversations. If we compare functions of different parts of letters and conversations, we can deduce that there is a lot of similarities between both. Certainly, the epistolary discourse has its specificity but we would like to convince our readers that this is also some type of conversation between the sender and the addressee of the letters.
