Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the concepts of the authors about the pedagogically-viable results that the use of traditional folktale narratives and folk games can have on children. One of the most important aspects of today’s life is the popularization of the cultural heritage which is seen as part of the process of handing over national and ethnical information between generations as a way to preserve the sustainability of messages and morals born by the folk genre for children. The transfer of knowledge between generations is a key factor in the educational process involving the younger generation, i.e. the future of the nation. This process deserves wider discussions having in mind the rapid introduction of information technology in the educational process which could be seen as an asset of preserving the folk genre.
