Summary/Abstract: According to official data, on 27 April 2020, 9,000 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection were reported in Ukraine. However, the small number of tests carried out does not allow a realistic assessment of the scale of the disease. The low level of healthcare increases the risk of the pandemic spreading rapidly, especially in the occupied territories of Donbas. The problems of the Ukrainian authorities in fighting the disease have forced them to seek help from oligarchs, who will try to use the current situation to strengthen their position on the political scene.
