In 2007, Tulcea History and Archaeology Museum purchased a new shaft-hole axe accidentally found at Malcoci, Nufăru, Tulcea County. The axe is considered to belong to the Pătulele type which is spread in the southern part of Transylvania, Walachia, Moldavia, Oltenia, Banat, Dobrudja and northern and central Bulgaria. The most southern location of this type of axe is Thebes, which serves as an important chronological landmark for dating these axes. On the Romanian territory, the Pătulele type axes are dated to the beginning of the Romanian Middle Bronze Age (2400-2200 B.C., after Al. Vulpe), corresponding to the crystallization of Monteoru, Wietenberg, Tei and Otomani cultures. The presence of several axes of this type in Dobrudja can be attributed to the Jamnaja and Katakombnaja cultures that have been documented by numerous funerary discoveries, especially from Northern Dobrudja. These cultures can also be connected to the presence in Dobrudja of several eastern items like the axes discovered at Mahmudia and the one from Măcin.

This paper addresses the European model of human resource management in terms of a critical vision, comparing countries at the most important features of national models.

The performance recollection is the “mnemic” image of the play, the images in the play that we remember and that have stuck in the memory by the unbiased participation in its carrying out and representation. And the creation of this complex system of images is a development equally laborious and fascinating, equally ordered and rational, equally creative and poetic; it is, in fact, the laboratory part that most of us – theatre creators – will most frequently leave unexplained, undisclosed. The creation of the theatrical performance starting with the text, with the reading of the text, which, most of the times, is explained to the scenographer, and not only, directly in images. This is why I believe that the reading of the text is a zero-image of the performance.

The article proposes a scientific analysis of Article 3 para.4 of the Romanian Constitution of 991, with a view to establish to what extent this text could be used as a Romanian constitutional argument against the acceptance and implementation of the European plan of redistribution of refugees to the member states of the European Union. Starting from the premise that Article 3 para. 4 of the Constitution is not a mere constitutional decoration, our analysis tries to prove, by using a historical and teleological interpretation, that, in certain circumstances, the said article could become an obstacle against the displacement of foreign populations on the Romanian territory but, at the same time, that it cannot be applied in the case of the redistribution of Muslim refugees from the Middle East.

Cristian Luca brings throught this volume a contribution to the foreign policy and the external trade of the Romanian Principalities with Venice in the fromework of the evolution of the worldwide and European economy and of the internationales relationships during the 17th century, considering the fact that up connections from that period were not adressed in a synthetic special volume and also that the historiography related to this theme is yet not a numerous one. On this purpose, beside the new uncovered documents and historic sources, the author provides a new and significant insight by the numerous information gathered in the State Archeves of Venice, as well as in the archives of the Venetian political magistrates and of the notabilities who activated in this city.

Basketball, as well as other sports or other activities in general, tends to evolve in line with the conquests of contemporary science and technology. Each teacher has his / her own ideas on the best way to achieve the area of activity in which students have to excel to win, and the statistical means to help them are very varied.Because of the complexity of the physiological effort, it is not wrong to think of basketball, the sporting game with the largest and most complex challenge to the body.In the present paper we wanted to highlight the importance of using the specific means in the basketball game with the aim of developing the driving force of the high school students. It is known that the majority of lessons of physical education and sports contain some exercise systems that have far too complex tasks to perform, they are sometimes heavy and without stimulating students. It is desirable that this to be avoided in these lessons with students, for the sole reason that the risk of being removed from this sport (basketball), can increase in a considerable way.We want to highlight that the vast majority of basketball-specific exercises used to develop all the motoring qualities can be underlined by successful gaming.

Despite the restriction imposed, the Western democracy model remained an attraction for central-eastern European people during the communist period. Throughout the Central and the East of the continent, in the aftermath of collapsing the communism, regimes and political system, economic orientations and foreign policy options have been changed. The enthusiasm of the Eastern European citizens towards the return to „Europe” was very high at the beginning of the last decade of the twentieth century.

This study represents the result of a thorough research regarding the dynamics of the geopolitical frontier between Russia and the Western world over the last two decades since the end of the Cold War. One of the effects of this dynamic is the emergence of the “grey area” concept (geopolitical indecision area), a concept that evolved from a simple phrase that used to classify the countries that “just broke free from the socialist camp” in the nineties, located in Central and mainly Eastern Europe, to an instrument of foreign policy for Moscow, used for braking the geostrategic expansion of the Euro-Atlantic structures towards its borders; especially in the context of the ever-growing geopolitical behaviour of Russia, beginning with the year 2000, in order to regain its status of Eurasian power. To this end, the revitalization of the two “anchors” – the presence at the Baltic and Black Seas –, was Moscow’s main focus over the last few years. More significant for Romania is the South-Eastern European anchor, the Black Sea area respectively, taking into consideration that we are neighbouring a sea of great interest for Russia, in light of what was mentioned above. Thus, this study gains purpose by shaping the increased potential of the Black Sea to sustain or generate “grey areas”, taking into consideration its complicated role of “hinge” between the different regional geopolitical systems. Stable geopolitical systems in the Black Sea area represent a greater guarantee for the security of small and medium sized countries, such as Romania.

Even if European private international law represents the origin of numerous fundamental conflicting solutions, the legal world is not limited to the European space and there are numerous interesting developments across the ocean in the American space. The great scheme of conflicting rules remains constant – first, ascertaining the applicable law of the agreement by the parties’ will and second, ascertaining subsidiary solutions applicable when such a will has not been expressed.
