While the teacher nicknamed Agamemnon goes on with a dull and uninspired exposé of the classic myth of Orphaeus the student’s thought flow in a James Joyce manner; in a humorous way this genuine stream of consciousness is stopped by the bell announcing the end of the class.
More...The paper entitled „The identification of the sacred inside the religious experience” approaches the concept of sacred from the point of view of the between the two wars. The research is not focused only on the word’s etymology, but also on the subtle relationship between the different stages of the concept’s development/ readjustment. Thus, for example, the idea that we plead for is that the Hermeneutics of the sacred reveals the soul’s inclination towards the acknowledgment of the absolute through the hierophany of the symbol, subdued to the level of knowledge and will. The halving of the world, through an emotional reassesment, represents a significant step in the establishment of the sacred.

Bishop and Metropolitan Nicolae Colan was a fi rst-rate fi gure, who raised from a small village came to rule through words and actions the believers in his “fl ock”, Transylvania, and who didn’t leave them even when facing the Second Vienna Award. Being preoccupied with religious issues, as well as with cultural and social matters, Bishop Nicolae Colan managed to offer spiritual food to Roma-nians in Transylvania by means of idyllic poems, press articles, book publications, and, especially, by editing “Viaţa ilustrată” [Life in images] where all the important Romanian fi gures found in the occupied territory of Transylvania collaborated. Beyond these aspects, in the person of Nicolae Colan we fi nd a scholar with an impressive work, who, with his words and actions (and, especially, with his formation—theologian and man of letters), accomplished his mission on Earth. Both the wide variety of themes present in his writings and the number of writings itself lead us to the obser-vation that the list of publications by Nicolae Colan is a great model, whichever the perspective may be, and that the vastness of the themes he undertook is in perfect compliance with the forms and the level of contemporary publications he so brilliantly precedes.

Nous pensons ici à Alexandru Philippide et à Sextil Puscariu, les pères de la philologie roumaine moderne, qui, selon Eugen Munteanu, auraient bénéficié d’une formation philologique allemande.

The paper addresses a fundamental principle of the functioning of the state and investigates the context in which it applies today. Ancient Greek philosophy principles are carried over in time and they adapt to the new European and international context. Europe turns. After each challenge or crisis, it turns. It starts from the ancient philosophy values and develops new visions. Sovereignty no longer appears as a national attribute, it adapts to the new structures; the principle is respected as such, but is given a make-over because the context changes.

Medical personnel involved in the neurological healthcare have a certain perceptionregarding the concept of informed consent, which leads to multiple ethical and legaldiscussions. Avoiding the stigmatization of the neurological patients with associated mentaldisorders is currently a challenge in Romania and is largely dictated by the importance of thetwo notions: informed consent and being viewed as a vulnerable population. The purpose of the study is to evaluate aspects related to the level of perception andknowledge, towards the concept of informed consent and vulnerable population, as well as therights of patients with neuro-psychiatric disorders by the personnel involved in their therapy.Material and methods - The study is a prospective, quantitative, questionnaire type thatsurveyed 74 research staff members involved in the therapy of patients with neurologicaldisorders (neurological doctors, neurosurgeons) from the Clinical Emergency Hospital “Prof.Dr. N. Oblu ”, Iasi, respectively members of the clinics and medical offices of family medicinein Iasi county. The questionnaire was carried out between May 2015 and May 2016.Results - In cases of neurological emergency, a significant percentage of doctors consider thatproviding medical information ads no significant benefits and in a smaller proportion theabsence of information is justified in the circumstances of associated psychiatric symptoms,on which the responsibility of the decision is transferred to the family. Although the medicalteam considers it is important to go through all the stages of informed consent, this is notreflected in their daily medical practice. The proportion of medical personnel that considernecessary providing information to a neurological patient, is different depending on theirrespective medical specialty, and a large majority think that the information should betapered. Conclusions - The perception medical staff have regarding patients with neuropsychic disabilities is in of itself stigmatizing.

A current concern of the modern societies is the environment, but the environment must be integrated to the economic development, because the need to achieve a balance between conservation and economic development is not an utopia, is achievable by optimizing long‐term net benefits for the population, but without significant degradation of natural resources, which supports the view that environmental protection efforts can create economic growth.

In 1935 general Pârăianu Barbu, the general inspector of the GeneralInspectorate of the Gendarmerie considered necessary an activity of guiding and training ofthe gendarmes in times of war, in paralel with the military training for fullfiling missions intimes of peace. Regarding this, he decided that the military training, which was being held inthe Gendarmerie's Military Training Centers, to go along with the military training of thearmy units and the military training to not be held only in groups or plutons like they wereuntil then, but to be extended to the police force companies. Also, in the Gendarmerie'sschools, the curriculum had to be adapted to the Gendarmerie's needs. This training impliedthe thorough assimilation of the general knowledge and the technical and tactical knowledgeabout the Gendarmerie's activity while in campaign, which was needed for the position ofpraetor at a Large Military Unit.

Throughout history, interest in the aesthetic and spiritual side of the body has been a constant concern. One of the features of corporal movement essential expression is the driving body defined by the movement and determined by aesthetic principles. A reminder in this regard are the sports with a pronounced artistic character that aim, above all the education of body aesthetics by using specific means of gestural communication like rhythmic and sports gymnastics, sportive dance, figure skating, figure swimming, etc. All these body movements are defined by the “motors gesture” common point. As an aesthetic attitude of the body dynamics, dance concretely defines its ability to manifest through harmonious, expressive, supple, light and precise movements, expressing certain states resulting from the body-psychic relationship. In conclusion, the motor gesture system can represent a form of gestural communication by loading the submitted message, causing different levels of body body`s expressiveness as a whole.

The argument behind our introductory essay, as well as behind our special issue of the Metacritic Journal for Comparative Studies and Theory, is that the human can emerge as part of the texture of the world only by being reminded of and by objects, that is, only by engaging in a dialogue with them, by recognising both their strangeness and their familiarity, by conferring upon them the distinction of containing the traces and archives of individual and collective history. We examine the turn towards things enacted by recent critical and artistic trends as a complex amalgam of de-anthropocentrising modes recalibrating experience under the pressure of imminent extinction (of humans, animals, inanimate objects) which produces a new imperative of togetherness by excavating the memory of our shared materiality.
