The goal of this study is to investigate the attitudes teachers working in high schools in Moldova (Chisinau) and Romania (Iasi) have regarding career education of adolescents. The study aims to identify the range of teachers’ attitudes which would facilitate future career education of adolescents. This report is based on only responses given by 26 Romanian teachers to a seven-item questionnaire. Teachers seem generally to exhibit a positive attitude towards the career education. The subjects that teachers teach are responsible for some differences.

The definition of capabilities, though developed in economic contexts, exhibits pedagogical foundations inasmuch it emphasizes the centrality of the person as an actor free in his or her choices and thus responsible for his or her destiny.The topics dealt with in the paper are the produce of several studies and researches; they are relevant for a large audience: experts of education, managers, teachers, but also students willing to consciously pass through their educational, formative and professional assignments.

TEACHING AND LEARNING OF ECOLOGY FOR THE STUDENTS OF VOCATIONAL SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN MULTIMEDIA ENVIRONMENT

This is a multidisciplinary paper presenting a synthesis of informational, educational, and ecological factors. This author discusses the inter-relationship between the aforementioned factors by means of an analysis of a comprehensive model of information-communication technology (ICT) support in the teaching and learning of ecology for students of vocational schools. In other words, the objective of the paper is to define accurately the manner, time, and extent to which computers, educational software, internet, as well as other modes of information – communication technology (ICT) are used in the ecology-related subjects taught in vocational schools, i.e. to offer a model of ICT support the implementation of which will be possible not only in ecology lessons, but other subjects with associated ecological contents as well.

THE PROPOSED CREATION OF UNIVERSITY SYSTEM IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS SUR, PHILIPPINES

This study aimed to determine the level of acceptability of the proposed amalgamation of the three Public Higher Education Institutions in Ilocos Sur.It employed the descriptive method of research. The respondents of the study are the 3rd and 4th year AB Political Science and BSE major in Social Science students and the 4th year BEED students of North Luzon Philippine State College. The statistical tools used in the treatment of data in this study are Frequency and Percentage, Weighted Mean and Pearson Product Method of Correlation.The conclusions of this study are the following: The proposed amalgamation of Public Higher Education Institutions in Ilocos Sur, Philippines would offer wider opportunity in the administration of the State Universities and Colleges.It isrecommended that: There should be proper forum or symposium on Amalgamation for a better understanding on how to enhance the value and recognition of student qualifications in the local, regional and national setting in the proposed amalgamation or university system in the province; In order to strengthen linkage opportunities of the three Public Higher Education Institutions in the province with the Local Government Units and National Government Agencies, a close working relationship and partnership should be initiated;and similar study should be conducted by other researchers to find out the level of acceptability of the proposed Regional University System in Region I and in other regions in the country.

The article provides necessary information about the link between lifelong learning and the education and training of personnel within the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic sector. It offers the information about the relationship between the class management system and distance and electronic education. It deals with the implementation of the class management system in career courses of professional soldiers under the auspices of the Centre for Security and Military Strategic Studies of the University of Defence. It clarifies the course of study in career courses, identifies the problems and generates their possible solutions.

TEORIJSKE OSNOVE SAMORAZVOJA I SAMOEFIKASNOSTI ODRASLIH U KONTEKSTU NJIHOVIH INTERESOVANJA ZA FIZIČKE AKTIVNOSTI

Interests represent a relatively permanent orientation of an individual's activity toward a particular object. Although the interests are significant in all ages, they represent personality dispositions in adulthood. Besides its definition, the complexity of the phenomenon of the interest indicates the existence of a large number of its characteristics. From the theoretical point of view, the paper analyzes self-efficacy and self-development as characteristics of the interest of adults in physical activities, which have proven to be significant factors in empirical research. The self-development has been observed from three sides: the movement towards autonomy, or self-initiative of the individual; development tasks, and self-concept of the individual. There has been analyzed the self-efficacy as well, which determines our behavior and activities in a particular interest. There has been given an overview of the perceived self-efficacy and participation of adults in physical activities. Summarizing the results concluded that the next research should be directed to check in which types of physical activity self-development and self-efficacy affect the interests of physical activity of adults.

Inequality In Education. Dimensions And Solutions

The proposed subject is included in fundamental and operational pedagogical research, promoted by decades through educational sociology, with a major impact on education policy, educational planning and educational management – applied at systemic and educational process level. The premises of inequality in education are: economic, social and pedagogical. The economic premises are related to the material status of the family and also to the raising of quality educational costs. The social premises are related to the politicians of education concepts on culture that are promoted and don not ensure a balance between the common the specialized curriculum, between mandatory and optional curriculum, between mass and elite school, formal and successful education access of graduates. The pedagogical premises are related to teachers’ didactic performance who do not ensure the particularities of their activity (lessons etc.) with the knowledge of the real potential of the pupil (scholar, psychological and social). The proposed solutions are placed at two extremes: a) radical solutions, inspired by the theory of social de-schooling of the society which is targeting the replacement of formal educational system with a non-formal educational network; b) reformed solutions, initiated by UNESCO, targeting the modification of the changing of education functioning in the line of its democracy and efficiency process. The reforming solution with chances in effective solving of the inequality issue in education is the one that emphasizes the pedagogical changing dimension, permanently connected to the general mission of school as promoter of culture and civilization.

The significance of educational activeness among the elderly in a social and psychological context

Aim. The aim of this article is to show the significance of educational activeness among the elderly in the context of its adaptation to the ageing process itself (the psychological aspect), as well as to a rapidly changing society defined by technological progress (the social aspect). Method. The article has been formulated with the aid of critical literature on the subject Conclusion. Educational activeness is crucial in late adulthood. On the one hand it is an important element in allowing the elderly to adapt to a new stage of life, and on the other hand to keep up with a rapidly changing society, defined in the literature as the information society.

In this paper we analyzed the path and process of developping ideas and programs for the development of university teachers' competencies, barriers and resistance to such programs that we shared with other universities, but also the successes we have achieved. The paper presents and analyzes the results of the research about university teaching goals of the Belgrade University teachers participating in such a training program, with the results from which it is evident why they are needed and what training programs are needed for university teachers.

Obrazovne karakteristike i konzistentnost u obrazovno - dokoličarskom ponašanju odraslih

The paper presents results of a wider research aimed at examining the educational characteristics and consistency in the educational leisure behavior of adult respodents. Consistency in educational leisure behavior refers to the relationship between the real and desired education choices that adults make in their leisure. The aim was the determine if and to what extent some of the basic educational characteristics of the respondents were a factor in the consistency of their educational leisure behavior. In other words, the question raised in this paper is wether and the to what extent educational characteristics determine our actual and desired choice, or, more pecisely, their relationship, when it comes to education in leisure time. From the spectrum of such considered consistency, two relevant educational features have been singled out: current educational leisure peticipation and previous educational experience.

Andragoški značaj identifikacije zaposlenih sa organizacijom

In this paper we presented analysis of available relevant, conceptual and empirical literature related to the problem of idnetification of employees with the organization. The rationale for our decision to present results of the theoretical analysis was our attempt to create acceptable theoretical theoretical base for the further researches of the problem of the andragogic importance of identification of employees with the organization. Detailed overview, analysis, and comparison of researches relevant for the problem were given with the purpose to underline similarities in different approaches, and to outline differences between the traditional and the innovative, ''extended'' research model with focus on the andragogic dimensions and on the andragogic relevance of the identification of employees with the organization. Synthesis of the acquired results revealed the potential for their application in the domains of development of the strategic approach to the organizational practice, and open perspective for comprehensive consideration of the possibilities for the further, mainly andragogic oriented researches of the problem of identification of employees with the organization.

Stručno usavršavanje i profesionalni razvoj školskih pedagoga u Kantonu Sarajevo

Profession of school pedagogue rarely finds a place in the scientific, professional and national debates, and that's the reason why it hasn't been strongly worked on the systematic acquisition and professional development of educational competencies which are necessery for quality work. Awareness about the educational needs of school pedagogue strongly influence on the quality of work and the intrinsic motivation on lifelong learning within the andragogical cycle. This paper present an experience of six schools from Sarajevo Canton, about the values of training for professional development, also about educational need of enriching school practice in order to achieve desirable outcomes. The aim of the work is to determine the educational needs for professional training in the professional development of school pedagogue. This means recognizing the forms, programs and support from professional bodies in meeting the educational needs of the professional development of school pedagogue that are complement with modern training - educational requirements. In accordance with the aim of research, the empirical part of this work necessery required the assessment of educational reality in schools in Canton Sarajevo, it has been completed trough case study, using descriptive methods and interviewing school pedagogues. In the opinion of school pedagogues, the most important role in the professional development of school pedagogue is the Pedagogical Institute of Canton Sarajevo, which continuously works to strengthen the competencies of school pedagogue. Since the school pedagogue noticed (in)completeness of professional training programs, this paper will offer some recommendations for improvement of pedagogical practice and professional development of school pedagogous.

Lifelong learning as integrational resource of knowledge economy

The paper examines the meaning and the main features of the knowledge economy. It alsoanalyses present-day challenges for the knowledge economy under new economic conditions.Research indicates arguments justifying the thesis that knowledge is a specific resource, which,unlike all other economic resources, can be unlimited under the condition of the continuous natureof education.Modern problems of market economy require deep rethinking and effective use of the characteristicsof the knowledge economy for building new market relationships. Current economic problemswill be successfully solved if one carefully considers the features of the Knowledge economy. Present and Perspectives in the Teachers’ Continuous Professional Training in Romania

Complementing the initial training that provides the foundation for the professionalization of the teaching career, the teachers’ continuous professional development represents an area of analysis that has always been in the attention of the educational policy makers, at the level of all national education systems. In a study conducted at the European level (2007), concerning the concrete ways to achieve the continuous training of the teaching staff, it is noted that, although there are 28 different training systems as organizational manner, there are no major differences in functional terms. Also, in this context, a number of fundamental characteristics of the profession were identified; it represents a qualified profession, through university studies (in most cases), which involves the graduation of different programs of continuous professional development, a certain degree of mobility of teachers in the national and European space, as well as partnership relations between different institutions involved in initial and continuous training. The paper tries to illustrate several results gathered from the opinions of a Romanian group of teachers, about the effectiveness of the on-going training programs in Romania. At the same time, the purpose of the paper is to identify new ways of organizing and conducting those on-going training programs, in line with the views of direct beneficiaries and educational practices confirmed at the European level.

TRIJUMF OTKRIĆA II: INTELEKTUALNE BIOGRAFIJE DOROTI HODŽKIN I ROZALIND FRENKLIN

This essay analyzes the lives and works of two distinguished women scientists in the 20th century, Dorothy Hodgkin and Rosalind Franklin. Their work and the work of their other female colleagues show that female scientists are present in large numbers in sciences that deal with living beings. The evidence for that is the number of the most important prizes and awards that female scientists received for their work in the fields of molecular biology, physiology, and medicine in general. This essay, therefore, analyzes scientifc discoveries made by Dorothy Hodgkin, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for her determinations of the structures of important biochemical substances by X-ray techniques, and Rosalind Franklin, whose participation in and contribution to the discovery of the so-called secret of life, the DNA structure, was not offcially and adequately recognized.

Harmonizacija politika obrazovanja odraslih u Bosni i Hercegovini: stanje i perspektive

Thanks to European integration, harmonization of policies, thus adult education policies as well, has become one of the inevitable andragogical topics. Due to its European commitment, but also because of its specific state organization, the process of harmonization of policies is of major scientific and practical importance for Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the research, whose results we present here. is to determine whether and to what extent adult education policies in Bosnia and Herzegovina are harmonized. The results of the research, although generally indicating high level of harmonization, biasedly in some segments deviate from recommended umbrella document. The reasons for the identified discrepancies lie outside of adult education policy, in higher spheres of politics, and cannot be eliminated by applying solely educational intervention.

Verification of Psychometric Abilities of the Questionnaire the Risky Sexual Behavior and Intimate Relations of Adolescents

The study deals with the examination of the psychometric properties of the newly developed measuring instrument, the questionnaire of Risk behavior and the intimate relationships of adolescents. Content validity has been verified by exploratory factor analysis that has created factors such as promiscuous behavior, alcoholism, sexually transmitted disease and unprotected sex as part of risky sexual behavior. Factor analysis has highlighted the existence of protective factors of intimacy - social support, emotionality, confidential communication, mutual sharing of free time, and risk factors - impaired communication, aggression, jealousy and infidelity. Questionnaire reliability is provided by Cronbach’s alpha computation.

Implementation of the Educational Program of Training of Border Guards in the specialty “State Border Security” in Ukraine

The article presents the results of implementation of the educational program of training of bachelors in state border security in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to analyze key points of the program, determine their compliance with national education legislation and European standards and recommendations for the border guards’ training and coast guard officers. The obtained results demonstrate the current state of implementation of the program in the educational process of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after B. Khmelnytskyi (NASBGSU) and determine ways of the educational program quality improvement, as well as contribute to the integration of the National Academy to the European Higher Education Area. The results of the study showed that the program as a whole corresponds to the educational activities of the National Academy, European standards and recommendations for the training of border guards, corresponds to the standard of the first (Bachelor) level of higher education in the specialty “State Border Security”, allows to achieve the declared results of studies, is self-sufficient and meets the needs and interests of internal and external stakeholders and society. Educational program has a clear structure; the educational components included in it constitute a logical interconnected system and allow to achieve the stated objectives and expected learning outcomes. The program focuses on practical training that allows students to consolidate theoretical knowledge in practice. Despite the sufficient level of training of border guard officers in Ukraine in recent years, the educational process needs to be continuously developed and improved. This is due to the current challenges and threats to the state's national security at the state border, the processes of further development and development of the NASBGSU, the modernization of the state border guard system, the growing requirements to the border guard officers both from the state and from the international community. For further improvement of the educational program, it is necessary to take into account the higher education institutions experience in the EU.
