Behavioral problems of infancy and preschool children tend to persist when left untreated and place affected individuals at higher risk of compromised outcomes. There is an increasing public interest in the possibility that early intervention or preventive efforts could reduce the severity or even prevent mental disorders later in life. Identifying children who are at risk of developing an emotional or behavioral disorder can help to intervene before negative behaviors become entrenched. Early identification of behavioral difficulties and early implementation of family support programs promote better mental health outcomes for children at risk of behavioral, emotional and mental health problems. Therefore it is essential to provide a systematic, organized support to children before going to school, even in kindergarten and creche groups.

The Conceptual Understanding of the Category „Psychological Health”

This paper is dedicated to the study of the genesis of the “mental health” and “psychological health” concepts, finding identifying features and differences of these concepts. In the framework of the “health psychology” scientific field, the psychological determinants of health, methods and ways of its preservation, improvement and development were considered. In the process of theoretical research of the psychological wellbeing concepts, basic principles in the analysis of socio-psychological health were defined. The paper affirms that the psychological health is a dynamic set of a person’s mental properties, which ensure harmony between the needs of the individual and the society, which is one of the basic conditions for successful self-realisation. It also states that it is the coherence of a person’s motives, objectives, and values with the requirements of his/her environmental and his/her own internal abilities that is the main condition and manifestation of psychological health.

Крахът на неолибералните утопии

The ongoing process of globalization has entailed growth of inequalities and injustice worldwide. Neoliberalism cannot be an adequate strategy in this process. As a development strategy it is unable to ensure normal functioning of a social system and just relationships between people. The neoliberal values claim to be an universal therapy for all economic and social diseases. But they are utopia that were scattered because of the mismatch between the social interests of the elites and the underprivileged people around the world. The outliving of the nation states, the free media, the neoliberal economic slogans and the global democracy are utopian projects that collapsed in the world today. Formulation and acceptance of new social values on the basis of communitarianism is a road leading to the finding of a way out of permanent crises and regional conflicts, to boosting up economic and social development.

Kinetic methods in the recovery of patients with dorsal kyphosis

Kyphosis is the highlight of the physiological curvature of the spine in the chest region with a curve greater than 50 degrees. The objectives of this paper were the description of the disease, the presentation of the treatment methods, the periodic examination of how the applied recovery program influences the quality of life of the patient as well as the statistical modeling of the obtained results, in order to highlight the degree of effectiveness and the effects of the applied methods.The present study was performed on nine subjects aged between 9 and 17 years, where a specific recovery program was applied, individualized according to needs and requirements for each subject, pursuing the same objectives. Subjects were evaluated periodically at the beginning of treatment, at the end and then at a subsequent check.In order to highlight the degree of efficiency, as well as the effects of this recovery program on the patients with kyphosis, the resulting values were statistically modeled. Following the evaluation of the diagrams, the differences between the values that appear over time were identified. At large, the differences were found in the positive sense, thus highlighting the effectiveness of the recovery program. At control the results were variable depending on the patient's determination, so in three of the cases there were slight aggravations of the situation, but nevertheless in all in the cases there were improvements of the disease during the treatment.

Conservative treatment in patients with lumbar spinal canal stenosis

Lumbar spinal stenosis is a common disorder in middle-aged and elderly patients that results from narrowing of the neural canal and foramina, from congenital or degenerative causes. This narrowing leads to co-compression of the lumbosacral nerve root.Most patients with symptomatic lumbar stenosis have intermittent neurogenic claudication with decreased risk. However, although the physical findings and clinical symptoms of lumbar stenosis are not acute, radiographic findings are relatively severe. Magnetic resonance imaging is a non-invasive and good method for the evaluation of lumbar stenosis. Although there are very few studies that refer to the natural progression of lumbar stenosis, its symptoms respond favorably to nonoperative management. In patients who do not respond to non-operative treatment, surgical treatments, such as decompression or decompression with spinal fusion, are required.

The article summarized the results of the research activity of Andrey Rossokhin, which is devoted to studying the dynamics of reflection in the altered states of consciousness in the course of psychoanalytic process. These states of consciousness are characterized by transformation of the semantic space of the subject and changing forms of categorization with a transition from socially normed to new ways of rationalizing internal experience and experiences take place. By theoretical and empirical analyses, A. Rossokhin concluded that through means of the internal dialogue during the altered states of consciousness, it carries out an active reflexive rethinking activity both previously non-reflective mental content and the very strategies of reflection with the internal dialogue. This leads to qualitative alteration in value-meaning formations, activates, and brings about the personality integration into a new, more complete state.

УКРАЇНСЬКИЙ НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БІОГРАФІЧНИЙ АРХІВ ЯК ІНСТРУМЕНТ І МАТЕРІАЛ В ЕТНОПСИХОЛОГІЧНОМУ ДОСЛІДЖЕННІ

The purpose of the article is to demonstrate the possibilities of using the electronic "Ukrainian National Biographical Archive" (UNBA) in the field of humanitarian knowledge based on a specific applied historical and psychological study. The research methodology is a combination of general scientific methods of analysis of theoretical material and statistical and comparative methods of analysis of specific empirical data, their systematisation and generalisation. The scientific novelty of the research is characterised by the use of information technologies, large volumes of data, and methods of statistical processing in the traditionally humanitarian field of research, which is characterised by a predominantly descriptive approach. Conclusions. On the example of the proposed study, an approach is presented that will allow to significantly expand the possibilities of both specific biographical investigations and studies of socio-historical, ethnological, and historical-psychological directions. Large-scale volumes and detailed structuring of the biographical archive (UNBA) according to its thematic, chronological, and gender distribution allows presenting the system itself as the core of the scientific activity of the virtual historical and biographical laboratory. Analogues of this approach do not exist in Ukraine today due to the uniqueness of the biographical archive (UNBA) itself, which combines the widest possible coverage of national biographical material with its detailed structuring. As a perspective of further research in the presented direction, we see the study of the dynamics of changing the archetypal features of the generalised image of Ukrainians in the temporal perspective. This includes answers to the question: how were the spheres of social activity of men and women correlated in different periods, the scaling of which is possible from centuries to one generation, i.e. 20-30 years? How statistically significant are these changes? We consider another interesting direction to be the identification of archetypal characteristics of Ukrainians depending on the places of social activity, birth, etc. – the so-called geographical rubrics.
