Risk behaviour in adolescence: Two perspectives

Risk, problem or antisocial behaviour or risk-taking in general are in their various forms arelatively common and frequently examined phenomena in adolescence. Risk behaviour was traditionally perceived as an undesirable phenomenon affected by a wide range of well described risk factors (e.g. Jessor, 1977, 1991, 1995; Kandel, Simcha-Fagan, & Davies,1986; Baumrind, 1991; Kaplan, Martina & Robbins, 1984). According to the concept of risk factors, adolescents are shaped during their development by many internal and external factors that make them more or less susceptible to various types of risk behaviour. Risk behaviour is regarded as a negative phenomenon from which adolescents must be protected.

Dospělost je v mnoha ohledech spjata se schopností samostatně se rozhodovat, spolehnout se na sebe a svůj úsudek, s přijetím zodpovědnosti za své chování, rozhodnutí, postoje a přesvědčení. Trochu nadneseně řečeno, být dospělý znamená přijmout autorství vlastních činů, činit důležitá rozhodnutí, z nichž některá mají celoživotní dopad, a přijímat zodpovědnosti a závazky, které z nich vyplývají. Z jiného úhlu pohledu to také znamená uvažovat o sobě samém a o svém životě v dlouhodobější perspektivě, mít své osobní plány a cíle — co považuji ve svém životě za důležité a k čemu chci směřovat. Z pohledu vývojové psychologie se tu propojují dvě ústřední témata (či vývojové úkoly), které vstup do dospělosti definují: téma autonomie a identity.

Partnerské vztahy a vynořující se dospělost: Na zkoušku, či naostro?

Partnerské vztahy patří svým významem mezi zásadní témata řešená mladými lidmi. Důležitost tématu je nesporná, neboť partnerská zkušenost má signifikantní a dlouhodobý dopad na individuální vývoj (Gala & Kapadia, 2013). Koncept vynořující se dospělosti pokládají Meier a Allen (2008) za výhodnou perspektivu, s jejíž pomocí lze podobě a vývoji partnerských vztahů v období třetí dekády lidského života v současnosti lépe porozumět. Skutečnost, že oproti minulosti mají mladí lidé více prostoru, času a společenského souhlasu ke vstupu do vyššího počtu partnerských vztahů, může být chápána jako jeden z aspektů charakteristik vynořující se dospělosti — období zaměřeného na sebe (setf-focused) a období prohlubujícího exploraci vlastní identity (identity exploration). Zdá se tedy, že bohatší partnerské zkušenosti mohou napomáhat při exploraci emocionální a fyzické intimity.

Spíme spolu, ale nechodíme spolu: Komunikace o nastavování pravidel ve vztahu přátelé s benefity

Termín „přátelé s benefity” (friends with benefits — FWB) se začal objevovat v médiích relativně nedávno. O FWB lze mluvit také jako o jednom z typů vztahů spadajících do kategorie nezávazných sexuálních vztahů (casual sex relationships). Jako další pojmenování a typy lze uvést například one night stands, booty calls, fuck buddies. Jednotlivé typy nezávazných sexuálních vztahů pak mohou být definovány na základě toho, kde se nacházejí na kontinuu různých vztahových charakteristik, jako je frekvence setkávání, typ kontaktu (sex versus sociální kontakt), přátelství, sebeodhalování a diskuse o vztahu (Wentland & Reissing, 2011). Vztah FWB lze definovat jako vztah mezi přáteli, který obsahuje také společnou sexuální aktivitu, ale zároveň jej aktéři tohoto vztahu nedefinují jako vztah romantický/partnerský (Hughes, Morrison, & Asada, 2005).

Model chování souvisejícího se zdravím – analýza latentní faktorové struktury

Tato kapitola sleduje projevy chování souvisejícího se zdravím, pozornost je zaměřena na skupinu projevů chování preventivního a protektivního, a to, jak název projektu předjímá, především dvou typů – chování zdraví podporujícího a zdraví poškozujícího. Sledováno je chování v jeho každodenní podobě. Projevy chování (a jeho konsekvence v rámci dalších samostatných studií) jsou zkoumány na běžné populaci (snahou bylo získat reprezentativní vzorek dospělé české populace). Respondenti pocházejí z prostředí, kde jsou socioekonomické podmínky na takové úrovni, že lze anticipovat možnost volby chování souvisejícího se zdravím – pro ilustraci, pociťuje-li typizovaný jedinec z našeho výzkumného souboru žízeň, má zpravidla možnost zvolit mezi několika alternativami, například zda si uvaří čaj, koupí slazenou limonádu nebo třeba natočí vodu z kohoutku (v prostředí, kde je nouze o vodu, patrně lidé nebudou řešit, zda preferovat perlivou nebo neperlivou), vycházíme tedy z předpokladu blahobytu.

Tato kapitola se opírá o nové paradigma pojímání vztahu mezi mozkem a psychikou. Potvrdit, nebo vyvrátit hypotézu, že psychický fenomén je specifický fenomén kvantové povahy (SQC phenomenon), který má nelineární povahu a je více než jedenáctirozměrný, nelze v rámci jednoho výzkumného projektu. Zvýšené nároky jsou dány skutečností, že máme k dispozici pouze takové diagnostické nástroje, které jsou schopny měřit jevy lineární povahy. Přesto chceme v naší výzkumné činnosti dospět k podstatě lidské psychiky a k mechanismům, které zabezpečují fungování živého mozku, nesoucí sebe organizující, sebe regulující a sebe si uvědomující fenomén já, manifestující se na makroskopické úrovni. Tak složitý problém je možné řešit pouze transdisciplinárně a po etapách, kdy výsledky jedné ukončené etapy jsou současně zdrojem informací pro konstituování etapy následující.

ROLUL COMUNICĂRII ÎN REDUCEREA FENOMENULUI STIGMATIZĂRII LA PERSOANELE CU COMPORTAMENTE ADICTIVE

In contemporary society it is well known the stigmatization of people withmental illness, and even more so of alcohol or drug users. To this stigma is added thepossible legal problems that some of these people have. But, in addition to these twosources of stigma, a role in amplifying it is played by the person's own perception ofhow those who have similar problems to his or her are stigmatized. Perception ofstigma at a high level is a barrier in recognizing problems due to addictivebehaviors, in accessing specialized care services, in making a change in personalbehavior, in establishing a therapeutic relationship between client and counselor. Onthe other hand, the stigmatization of these people by the community in general andby some specialists in the field of care, only keeps the phenomenon of drug use on astrong growth trend. Therefore, in addition to programs to reduce the stigma ofpeople with addictive behaviors, it is desirable to streamline public communicationof specialists in the field of addiction, on various topics specific to this field and alsoto assess the level of perception of the stigma of these people, which may influencethe answers provided to other types of questionnaires, namely the results andconclusions of the psychological evaluation. At the same time, the interpersonalcommunication of the dependent person with the counselor or with the familymembers needs an improvement and /or a change regarding the terms used, the wayof interaction and the nonverbal behavior.

Hra je po staletí vnímána jako významná součást společnosti. Lidstvo je vývojově vázáno na pozici hry, hra zasahuje do četných oblastí lidské činnosti. Při hře lze pociťovat jistý stupeň uvolnění či radosti, který umožňuje jedinci jistou míru spontánního projevu. Dosavadní výzkum je natolik rozvětvený, že nelze striktně určit jednotnou definici hry, která by zaštítila všechny její vlastnosti. Hra je vnímána z mnoha hledisek, která se do jisté míry prolínají. Kromě kulturních, vývojových ale i filozofických vazeb jsou více než důležité terapeutické aspekty hry. Mnohé teorie vnímají hru jako symbolickou komunikaci, v níž jsou obsaženy problémy jedince a ten skrze terapii hrou zpracovává pocity a doposud nepojmenované problémy (Rezková a Kokešová Kleinová, 2012). Smyčka strastí, do které se vlivem psychické nemoci můžeme dostat, vychyluje naši psychickou rovnováhu a narušuje běžný život.

Vliv kariérové adaptability, sebehodnocení a pracovních hodnot na životní spokojenost

V této kapitole se zaměřujeme na životní spokojenost mladých dospělých v době po absolvování středního odborného vzdělávání, neboť je považována za významný indikátor příznivého psychologického a sociálního vývoje člověka (Gilman & Huebner, 2006; Kong & You, 2013). Životní spokojenost je kognitivní složkou subjektivní pohody a vypovídá o tom, jak jedinec hodnotí svůj vlastní život s ohledem na individuálně stanovená hodnoticí kritéria (Diener & Diener, 1995; Pavot & Diener, 2008). Předchozí výzkumy přinesly jasné důkazy o tom, že pozitivní hodnocení vlastního života se může příznivě promítnout do celé řady oblastí. Lidé, kteří jsou se svým životem spokojenější, vykazují lepší fyzické a duševní zdraví, mají méně emočních problémů, mají lepší mezilidské vztahy a od svého sociálního okolí získávají více podpory, zatímco nízká životní spokojenost je spojována s patologickým a rizikovým chováním (Gilman & Huebner, 2006; Shaw & Gupta, 2001; Suldo & Huebner, 2006; Sun & Shek, 2013). Životní spokojenost tedy může pomáhat vytvářet bariéru negativnímu chování v podobě diskriminace, obtěžování, šikany, násilí, zneužívání návykových látek, rizikového sexuálního chování nebo problémového užívání internetu (Proctor et al., 2009).

This study focuses on the investigation of the students' negative and positive identification with characters of fairy-tales and the identification that stems from the following types of open questions: If you could be a fairy-tale character, who would you choose to be? This question is a part of the study conducted in2005-2006. The study examines how the age-specific characteristics of students manifest in these identifications, what are the similarities and the differences based on different regions and whether there are similarities between the frequency dictionary of the 10-11 years old students' writing vocabulary or not.

Copingové stratégie, hardiness a fyziologická reakcia v podmienkach akútneho stresu u vysoko úzkostlivých jedincov

The stress reaction dysregulation in high trait anxious individuals from the psychophysiological perspective represents an actual research problem. Aim of present study was to analyze the relationship between psychophysiological correlates of stress response with hardiness and coping strategies in high trait anxious individuals in comparison with control group. Participants were assigned to groups based on trait anxiety STAI scores. Acute stress conditions were created using psycho-social stress test (PSST), while skin conductance level (SCL), heart rate (HR) and skin temperature were measured simultaneously. Preffered coping strategies were surveyed by COPE questionnaire, hardiness by PVS questionnaire. Results and implications for future research are analyzed in the discussion.

Kişiliğin Karanlık Üçlüsü

When the studies on personality are examined, it is seen that most of them are examined with the bright side of personality. However, in 2002, after Paulhus and Williams used the concept of dark personality traits (Paulhus and Williams, 2002: 557) to describe the malevolent side of human nature, scientists began to investigate the dark side of personality. When the literature is examined, it is seen that narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy are called the "dark triad". Dark triad personality traits seem to be effective on individual behavior. This effect is negative in terms of individual, organizational and social aspects. Necessary strategies must be developed to prevent or reduce this negative effect. From this point of view, it is seen that the concept of "dark triad" has attracted attention in the literature and various studies have been done. The three personality traits, narcissism, machiavellianism and psychopathy, which are discussed under the title of the Dark Triad, are defined within the framework of previous studies, and studies in the field are summarized in terms of their similarities and differences.

The book Beyond Anthropocentrism, i.e. Demand for the Impossible? The Questions of Culture and Other Questions in Social Theory and Practice of Conversation concentrates on man and his psycho-physical condition, taking special account to its ethical consequences for the world and himself. However, the book also tries to make him leave his privileged status. The monograph is divided into three parts. Chapter 1: Culture in Theory presents essential findings focused on the key term, “culture”. Chapter 2: Culture in Practice presents seven in-depth interviews conducted in the years 2020–2021 with the researchers representing a spectrum of different scientific disciplines: Ewa Bińczyk, Katarzyna Dembicz, Bogumiła Lisocka-Jaegermann, Joanna Ostrowska, Hanna Rubinkowska-Anioł, Jolanta Sujecka, Anna Ziębińska-Witek.
