Veronika Neničková examines the city from various angles in relation to teaching foreign languages to adults. She mentions the perspectives for the use of augmented reality in teaching foreign languages, and above all she offers methodologies for activities that emphasize cooperation, authenticity, effectivity, and attractiveness. This in most cases assumes the use of the Internet and other modern technologies. Her methodologies are adaptable for all languages, although some examples are oriented towards Polish. She includes social networks such as Instagram, Facebook, and Foursquare, as well as Google Street View, etc. She also advises how to find a suitable native speaker of your target language in your city, recommends how to use and create teaching videos, and offers a guide to asking questions in the street in the form of surveys or Mad Libs, as well as new approaches for assigning homework. Lastly, she calls for teachers of foreign languages to take an interest in integrating the Internet and other modern technologies into their teaching, in order to keep pace with their students.

The potential role of Artificial Intelligence is becoming increasingly clear. Supply Chain Risks, Cybersecurity and C-TPAT, a Literature Review

The past year has seen critical fluctuations in business operations throughout the US and the world. Due to COVID-19, employees have been encouraged or forced to work from home instead of commuting to a regular work location. Remote work has disrupted and weakened security processes. Cyber criminals have seen an opportunity in this weakened infrastructure. Cybersecurity attacks have disrupted supply chains for businesses, schools, healthcare organizations and other entities. Organizations will need to reassess security strategies with the assumption that work-from-home will become permanent. The US Department of Homeland Security has stepped up its efforts to meet this risk head-on and has incorporated supply chain cybersecurity measures within the constructs of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) program. This all-volunteer program was launched immediately after 9/11 to thwart potential supply chain risks that could open the door to major terrorist attacks on the US homeland. This research will explore the reasons why cybersecurity has become the nation’s number one commercial concern for supply chains and logistics management and how C-TPAT is enabling the proper change to the current business climate as a risk mitigating option.

Robots – A Strategic Solution from Recovery to Resilience

Robots together with the other components of Industry 4.0 represent an important part of the recovery and resilience strategy of the Member States. In short periods of time, the labor market is affected by the dislocations caused by robotics and automation, but in the long term, employees will be reoriented through retraining and thus more jobs will be generated that will ensure a lower unemployment rate. The paper analyzes possible strategies to help the Member States pass from recovery to resilience, which means getting to a higher level than before the shock or crisis. Strategic directions are designed based on composite Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) subindicators and integrative concepts also are being approached. An example of integrative concept is autopoiesis, that metaphorical could be a solution from recovery to resilience applied on different countries refering to institutions, government by using the same strategy to selfrecover and grow from inside as an autonomous system. Other strategies are offered, the analysis of critical points seen as decisional aspects, the identification of the center of gravity and the existence of an operational plan within the strategic one. The strategic solutions that will lead to recovery and resilience, first of all, must have a vision.

Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – Regulation Vacuum and Challenges for Romania

This article aims at presenting the strengths and weaknesses of the Romanian legislation towards non-fungible tokens (NFTs). We start by recognizing that there is no active legislation that deals with cryptocurrency, NFTs or any other digital asset using a digital ledger of transactions (DLT). The starting point is the analysis of the legal characteristics of an NFT through the classical qualification and distinction made for goods by the Romanian Civil code. Further, we raise some issues regarding establishing a clear tax regime and the correlation between NFTs and intellectual property rights, and finally conclude that when it comes to qualifying crypto-assets, we need to adopt a ‘substance over form' approach, in order to avoid regulatory unpredictability.

Az Országos I_úsági Hatóság rendszeresen végez vagy végeztet kutatásokat, hiszen meggyozodésünk, hogy pártszínezettol függetlenül minden kormány i úságpolitikájának az így szerzett eredményeken kell alapulnia. A romániai magyar atalok körében végzett kutatás az elso ilyen jellegu felmérés, amelyet román költségvetési nanszírozással készítettek. Az adatokat elemezve, összehasonlítva, számomra a legfontosabb következtetés, hogy mind a román, mind a magyar ataloknak pozitív a jövoképe. Nem önmagukban az egyes mutatók biztatóak, hanem a tendenciák. A zetéssel, munkahellyel, közérzettel, kivándorlással, oktatással, általános jóléttel kapcsolatos adatok az elmúlt években folyamatosan pozitív irányba mozdultak el. A civilization has its lessons in the past, efforts in the present, and hope for the future. Throughout history, humans gathered in different types of social constructs and managed to overcome obstacles, prevailing in difficult situations which seemed impossible at that given time. As several examples, we can take into consideration events such as the Ice Age, wars, natural disasters, and so on. By their nature, homo sapiens desire to reach a state of comfort where the basic needs are satisfied, and superior desires can be pursued. Conquering an objective, depending on its complexity, may require more than a lifetime of work. In this manner, the new generations play a key role in our common development as a society, thus they must have a proper education ensured, for the light of hope not to be extinguished. However, in the last decades, a new phenomenon can be seen entering our social domain. To be more precise we will refer to it as “Continuous Mass Fear.” The current paperwork will try to explain the origin of this new enemy, the main features surrounding it alongside the consequences on the new generation. Based on the data provided, we will determine how the state can mitigate the effects of this threat and why it is necessary for democratic institutions to implement a plan.

Chatbots, Future Undercover Investigators in the Criminal Process in the Artificial Intelligence Era?

Modern society is witnessing remarkable development in many areas due to the advancement of computer science and, in particular, Artificial Intelligence (AI). IA represents “the theory and development of computer systems capable of performing tasks that regularly require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and multilingual translation”. Justice is also an area in which AI brings its contribution in different forms, depending on the legal framework of each state. International bodies are preoccupied that law enforcement agencies adapt to new ways of committing crimes with technological and transnational components and use appropriate means of investigation. Chatbots are intelligent conversational computer systems designed to mimic human conversation to enable automated online guidance and assistance. The increased benefits of chatbots have led to their widespread adoption by many industries to provide virtual customer support. Chatbots use methods and algorithms in two areas of artificial intelligence: Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Researchers have shown that chatbots can be used as real undercover agents. Thus, they may enter into a conversation with criminals willing to commit certain serious crimes without the latter knowing that they are in fact talking to an intelligent computer system, recording the conversation, the IP of the device used by the suspect and other data that may be stored on a computer system. The chatbot can have a human avatar, but not necessarily, and conversations can take place in a variety of ways: written, spoken, and so on. There is currently widespread discussion about the technological and ethical limitations of the use of AI in criminal justice, and the process of integrating mechanisms involving the use of AI into national law is difficult.

The development of the Internet of Things (IoT), machines functioning independently in the network, seems unstoppable. Its enormous potential and dynamics are confirmed by numerous studies and reports indicating the intensive growth of both investment outlays and the value of the global IoT market. In addition, the involvement of big players such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Apple and Samsung proves that changes in the reality that surrounds us are becoming an irreversible trend. The entire economy is changing under the influence of the development of this technology. In fact, enterprises are the main beneficiaries of the progressing cybernetization, which allows, among other things, to: increase efficiency, improve quality, shorten delivery times, reduce production and service costs, or improve the use of information in the decision-making process. However, introducing innovative solutions always carries the risk of failure. The aim of the article was an attempt to identify the challenges related to the implementation of the Internet of Things in the sphere of business and marketing, which may constitute an obstacle in reaping the benefits offered by new technologies.

The purpose of the paper is to present the possibilities of using modern technologies in the promotional activities of banks in Poland. This issue has gained particular importance during the development of the COVID-19 pandemic. Already earlier, we could observe an increased openness of consumers to marketing communication involving the use of modern technologies and the Internet, but the pandemic caused the need to reduce direct contact with customers, and thus - to intensify such activities in the Internet sphere. The paper cites examples of digital marketing communication tools that are used by banks operating in Poland.
