Edukacja przedsiębiorcza: analiza bibliometryczna polskiego piśmiennictwa
Research objective: This article aims at bibliometric analysis of Polish literature in the field of economics and business studies devoted to entrepreneurial education. The research problem and methods: The basic problem addressed by the article is the quantitative and qualitative analysis of Polish scientific publications on entrepreneurial education. The article uses three main research tools: traditional literature reviews, a descriptive bibliometric analysis (qualitative analysis) and a sociological content analysis (qualitative analysis). The process of argumentation: The line of reasoning consists of three essential elements. At first, the conclusions are drawn on the basis of the analysis of subject literature, especially in terms of the specialist terminology. The main empirical part of the article is based on a quantitative analysis – bibliometrics, which is supplemented by a qualitative analysis of the content. BazEkon is used as a reference database of economic literature. Research results: In Polish literature, there is no widely recognized uniform terminology used by both researchers-authors and the bibliographic data-bases, hence the analysis is difficult. Polish achievements in quantitative terms are relatively smaller, but deal essentially with the same topics as the worldwide literature. The two leading journals in Poland devoted to entrepreneurial education include “Entrepreneurship – Education” and “Horizons of Education”. Conclusions, innovations and recommendations: The use of uniform terminology should be promoted among the academic community in Poland, as well as the use of appropriate keywords, which, with time, should allow for an in- depth bibliometric analysis of entrepreneurial education in Polish scientific literature.
