The newspaper “Zëri i Kosovës” and its engagement in enhancing National conscience and unity

Summary/Abstract: The newspaper “Zëri i Kosovës (Voice of Kosova) was an illegal informative organ of “Grupi revolucionar” (Revolutionary group) with its activity in Kosova. There were issued only two numbers of the magazine, while the third one (in manuscript) was confiscated by Serbian police at the same time when members of the group were arrested. In all those variegated informative rubrics, of literary-satirical problems it was presented realistically the painful situation of Kosova and of its people. Struggle for freedom, the slavery, suppression, emigration, corruption, crime, imprisonment, and unsolved fate of fatherland made the magazine and its subject matter complete, distinctive and inciting, which even in present days intrigues the reader to read and analyse to the end the magazine “Zëri i Kosovës”. Therefore, there are lasting articles, which contain in itself love for fatherland and for freedom we never enjoyed, but we did never stop looking and fighting for it in various forms.
