A suggestion for application model of total quality management in music teacher training in turkey

Summary/Abstract: In this study it is aimed at resolving current problems with music teacher training, continually improving all activities in music teaching and increasing the skills of institution, administrative personnel and students, and also offering a suggestion for a model in relation to Total Quality Management (TQM) in music teaching. In the study, descriptive method has been used, and data has been obtained from various Turkish, English and German sources and communication environments by documentary screening method. According to findings in the study, it's concluded that TQM became necessary for both individuals and institutions to be in existence, get a life with success and high level of welfare in an environment where the competition is compulsory, and that TQM system and its basic principles must be reflected to music teacher training consciously, therefore conscious applications of TQM would positively contribute to the training of quality music teachers; accordingly, a suggestion for application model of TQM in music teaching in Turkey.
