Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of a national survey of the communication Bulgarian state educational institutions conduct with their communities. Bulgarian state educational institutions face a number of communication problems with their internal and external publics. This has a negative effect on the ability of a public educational institution to become the center of its community.
