Summary/Abstract: The translation of texts that contain causal connectors presents problems related to the pragmatic interpretation of the utterance and of the causal relation. An easy didactic experiment may identify the problematic elements and indicate the way in which the approach to translation can be diversified and improved. Assimilating certain basic concepts from the pragmatic analysis leads to better results in the translation process.
