Summary/Abstract: The study analyses the issue of the duration of preventive arrest, in the light of actual criminal procedural regulation in force, but also in the light of case law of the European Court of Human Rights, namely the notion and criteria for assessing the term of this preventive measure. The study aims to analyse the measure in order to facilitate its understanding and deepening, as well as to suggest any required legislative changes.
