Specific forms of entrepreneurship support by Polish local government – research results

Summary/Abstract: With the removal of national borders, it is easier for capital to move and relocate in different parts of the world. Thus the competition between local authorities is starting to become more and more fierce. In this article, the point is made that to enhance development it is necessary to turn to specific forms of entrepreneur support. Traditional financial instruments are important too, but they are used by most local authorities and thus they are no longer the base of a competitive advantage. Research results have shown that the most important specific instruments are professional information management and creating industrial parks.
