Summary/Abstract: Na inicijativu Odsjeka za pedagogiju Filozofskog fakulteta, Univerziteta u Sarajevu (NSA), spontano je pokrenuta priča i rodila se ideja iz srca, da se u povodu osamdesetpetog rođendana prof. dr. Mladena Bevande, napravi Zbornik radova. Ta prvobitna ideja od prije nekoliko godina bila je, da Odsjek za pedagogiju priredi knjigu o njemu za njegov osamdeseti rođendan; naš zajednički rad s njim u zadnjih par desetljeća. Prof. Bevanda je zahvalio, ali je predložio kako je možda bolje da napravimo Zbornik radova pod naslovom: Pedagogija – tradicija i suvremenost, što smo tada i prihvatili i na Odsjeku usvojili.

- Summary/Abstract:Zadovoljstvo mi je predstaviti Zbornik radova Pedagogija – tradicija i suvremenost, a povodom obilježavanja 85 godina života dr. sc. Mladena Bevande, akademika i profesora emeritusa. Pred vama je Zbornik koji simbolizira naslijeđe jednog od najistaknutijih pedagoških djelatnika našeg vremena, čije su ideje i rad oblikovale generacije naučnika, stručnjaka i studenata u području pedagogije. Važnost pedagogije u procesu obrazovanja je u stvaranju okruženja koje potiče intelektualni, emocionalni i socijalni razvoj. Pedagogija pokazuje da učenje nije samo prikupljanje informacija, već i proces konstruiranja kritičkog mišljenja, kreativnosti i etičkih vrijednosti koje omogućavaju pojedincu da postane odgovoran i aktivan član društva.

- Summary/Abstract:Na samom početku želim zahvaliti kolegicama i kolegama što su me pozvali i ukazali čast govoriti u povodu zaista značajnog jubileja na ponos Fakultetu, Univerzitetu, Gradu, ali i našoj domovini jer to bijaše punih trideset godina jedino središte za izobrazbu pedagoga – psihologa u Bosni i Hercegovini. Moje angažiranje govori o kolegijalnom i korektnom odnosu prema prijašnjim profesorima, lijep je primjer zahvalnosti onima koji su radili na Odsjeku prije mnogo godina. Ciceron je rekao da je zahvalnost ne samo najveća vrlina nego i majka svih ostalih. Prihvatio sam prijedlog kolegica i kolega s osobitom radošću jer sam na ovom Odsjeku ostvario svoje snove, mnoge životne želje i uza sve to dočekao i ovaj jubilej. Još kao student bio sam demonstrator dvije godine te predsjednik studenata Odsjeka, a kao nastavnik biran sam za predsjednika Odsjeka dva mandata i za voditelja poslijediplomskog studija tri mandata. Od sveg srca želim mlađim kolegicama i kolegama da u dobroj tjelesnoj i mentalnoj formi obilježe stotu obljetnicu. U ovih 60 godina sadržana su tri jubileja, više važnih događaja i godišnjica. Naime, u šest desetljeća je srebreni jubilej – 25 godina, zlatni – pedeset godina i, evo, dijamantni – šezdeset godina uspješnog i plodnog rada.

- Summary/Abstract:Služeći se znanstvenom metodologijom i posebnim kategorijalnim aparatom akademije su u službi razvoja nauke i umjetnosti, poticanja kreativnosti, obogaćivanja stvaralačkog rada, ali su i spona između srodnih ustanova i znanstvenika, čimbenici jačanja društvenih i kulturnih vrijednosti. Ova naša mala znanstvena agora je pravi pothvat jer ovdje su s referatima akademici iz četiri akademije – zastupljene su, dakle, sve akademije u BiH – tri s nacionalnim predznakom kao i ANU BiH. Postojeće akademije su izraz naše stvarnosti, naših potreba, te intelektualne, kulturne i znanstvene zrelosti BiH, odnosno svakog njenog konstitutivnog naroda. Ovim skupom pokazujemo našu intelektualnu i moralnu spremnost razgovarati, međusobno se priznavati i uvažavati. Želimo čuti različita mišljenja gdje nitko nije ni optuženik ni sudac.

- Summary/Abstract:Cijeneći iznimnu važnost odgojno – obrazovnog rada i poziv učitelja - nastavnika, HAZU BiH i ove godine radno obilježava međunarodni Dan učitelja. Kao i prošle godine upriličena je tribina na kojoj će se pripremljenim referatima osvijetliti poneka bitna pitanja odgoja i izobrazbe. Smatramo da je tribina prikladan i dovoljan oblik za ovu prigodu. Smisao i cilj Tribine je predočenim izlaganjima te diskusijom i komentarima potaknuti promišljanje o važnosti i nužnosti odgojnog djelovanja prije svega u obitelji i u školi. Ne ću govoriti o materijalnom i društvenom statusu učitelja iako su to bitna i egzistencijalna pitanja, ali i preduvjet bolje motivacije i uspješnijeg rada. Ovi se problemi, uvjeren sam, temeljito i seriozno razmatraju na sjednicama vijeća – općina, gradova, županija, a osobito prilikom izvješća o godišnjem radu odgojno-obrazovnih ustanova. Govorit ću kako je i naslovljena tema o odgoju uopće ne svodeći ga na jedan segment, na jednu od mnogih dimenzija.

- Summary/Abstract:Iz knjige život (ne) svakidašnji prof. dr. Mladena Bevande želim izdvojiti s razlogom, nekoliko tekstova i posebno ih komentirati. Važno je napomenuti i na ovom mjestu, da je Bevanda Mladen, godinama bio, omiljeni profesor kada studenti/postdiplomci biraju temu za diplomski, magistarski ili doktorski rad. Predavanju su mu bila iznimno posjećena, a među studentima je bio prepoznatljiv po nastupima koji su obilovali uz sve znanstvene fakte, lucidnostima, pričama iz daljnje i bliže povijesti čije je likove uspijevao oživjeti i čini se da svaki put prezentirao, igrao novu rolu u «teatru», koja će se dugo pamtiti.

- Summary/Abstract:Iz Mostara u Čitluk putujem sa Stanislavom Vukorepom. Vozim polako, razgovaramo o koječemu i tako sve do ulaza u naselje. S obje strane ulice, koja je glavna i gotovo jedina prava ulica u Čitluku, izrasle su goleme platne. Ulica ima tri trake i promet teče neometano. Stanislav pita za platane, ja objašnjavam da su posađene prije pedesetak godina kad je predsjednik općine bio Mladen Bevanda. Prije su bile neke kržljave topole, ali je tada mladi predsjednik ocijenio da one nisu pravo rješenje za centar Općine te je uz savjete stručnjaka organizirao uklanjanje topola i zasađivanje platana, isti dan. Vidjelo se kako je to bio dobar potez, ali neki mještani nisu nikako pristajali da se kraj njihovih kuća sadi neko drugo drvo. Tako sada dvije preostale topole, pored Janjine kuće i MUP-a, izgledaju kao ruglo. Napomenuh Stanislavu da je dolaskom na dužnost Mladen pokrenuo i ostvario niz projekata, a najprije je sa suradnicima regulirao tok potoka/baruštine usred naselja što je bilo leglo komaraca i izvor neugodnih mirisa. Rekoh, Mladen je bio praktično preporoditelj općine i to je bilo prepoznato istom tridesetak godina kasnije kad je dobio Godišnju nagradu za doprinos razvoju Općine.

- Summary/Abstract:It is an indisputable fact that there is no universally accepted definition of the concept of values, but values are present in every aspect of school work, especially in the nature, purpose and goals of upbringing and education. There is no unambiguous and generally accepted definition of education for values, but one of the ways of teaching about values is to advocate, promote, and live values in everyday life and work. The paper entitled «The contribution of academician Mladen Bevanda in the promotion of universal and traditional educational values in modern pedagogy» aims to shed light on the role of academician Bevanda through his pedagogical work, especially in the field of promoting values in education. Namely, the intention is to show Bevanda’s lifelong commitment, as someone who advocated that traditional and universal human values to be an integral part of upbringing and education in schools, so the aim of the research is to determine the theoretical and practical pedagogical contribution of academician Mladen Bevanda in promoting and positioning values as a necessity in educational - the educational context. We will perform this task first by studying the published scientific and professional texts of the Academician and determine the representation of valuable content in his works; then his pedagogic involvement as a professor at the Universities of Sarajevo and Mostar; then Bevanda’s public activity through media appearances - analyzing the contents of the address and determining the frequency of those with which he promotes values; and finally, analyzing his mentoring work on the preparation of graduation, master›s and doctoral theses whose topics belong to the fields that the academician was engaged in scientifically, especially those that contribute to the promotion of values. The basic scientific methods we will use are theoretical analysis, documentation analysis and content analysis, and the instrument will be a matrix for content analysis. Studying the mentioned sources, we will find a wealth of material, which will undoubtedly show the contribution of academician Bevanda in promoting values in education and this work, among other things, will contribute to the collection and systematization of such material. And we hope to promote educational values in today›s society.

- Summary/Abstract:We witness that market fundamentalism occupies a very important place in the normative and value pluralism of postmodern permissiveness and freedom. In such a social environment, under the pressure of neoliberal capitalism and technological progress, educational policy increasingly directs upbringing and education towards learning outcomes, skills and competencies that advocate a market-oriented man, i.e. a man who gradually becomes a “mechanistic element, a resource” in already defined political-economic relations. With this paper, we draw attention to the marginalized position of the child - man in contemporary society. It is already obvious that almost all forms and models of traditionally based and functional pedagogical theories are being rejected, and that in parallel, within the framework of neoliberal principles of scientific pluralism in economics, psychology, sociology and even in pedagogy itself, new paradigms and concepts/ models of upbringing and education are being developed. Today, pedagogy itself is increasingly moving away from the child, and to make the paradox even greater, this is often taking place under the banners of romantic-pedagogical marketing “child centered approach”, “student as the subject of teaching”, “school for life”, etc. Various forms of neoliberal pedagogy based on the pedagogical looseness of the so-called summer-hill pedagogy are emerging and developing, thus offering a whole series of short-term “instant solutions” whose application makes teaching understood as an event, and less and less as an experience for students. Accordingly, while reforms are “embellishment” certain segments of the education system, we are witnessing the increasing degradation and marginalization of the quality upbringing and educational fabric that exists in public schools. In this paper, we describe the social conditioning of contemporary pedagogical perspectives within the framework of the pedagogical-didactic understanding of the competency-based approach to education - curriculum reform. In this paper, we compare the characteristics of the theory of curricula and programs created within the framework of spiritual-scientific pedagogy and didactics on the one hand, with the characteristics of the concept of curriculum reform created within the framework of behavioral learning, on the other. The topic is the reform of curricula and their reliance on defined key competencies and the moving from national to international understanding and curriculum development. The paper also critically reflects on the process of operationalizing key competencies at the micro-pedagogical level, on the process of orienting teaching towards objectively measurable learning outcomes, emphasizing that this process can ultimately take place to the detriment of the humanistic understanding of education, as well as the loss of the educational dimension of school and/or the purpose and values of education.

- Summary/Abstract:The Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina has made various and indisputable contributions to the cultural, religious and educational field throughout the centuries of its presence and rootedness in this region. However, despite being aware of this fact and the truth, many have often ignored, suppressed and even deliberately and wrongly interpreted them for various reasons. On the other hand, these situations, when the truth was in danger, always brought silent and unobtrusive, hard-working people with bright minds and bold words to the surface, who would never allow the truth to be distorted. With their relentless work, based on arguments and mostly through the written word, they rose to defend the truth about our history, religion, culture and heritage. This paper will give a brief outline of a man of arguments and celebrate the man at least within the restrictions of the text, the relentless champion of the truth, a man with an accomplished life and academic career, the academician Mladen Bevanda. As a man and a scientist, the academician Mladen Bevanda, who went down the whole educational path, from being a teacher to becoming an academician, is the most qualified person to discuss the educational, historical, pedagogical topics and all the values and impacts that influence a person’s educational path. The aim of this paper is to depict the contribution of the academician Bevanda to promoting the truth and facts about the activities and contributions of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna in particular, its archbishop, as well as its educational institutions in the fields of religion, culture, history and education. This aim shall be fulfilled by analysing the scientific and professional papers and interventions of the academician Bevanda and by presenting the representation of promoting the activities of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna and its institutions within those papers; also, by analysing his educational involvement in his role as a professor at the University of Sarajevo and Mostar, which is in particularly reflected in providing his students with encouragement to do research and write diploma papers, master and doctoral theses about the institutions of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna. While doing so, basic scientific methods will be used such as: theoretical analysis, document analysis and content analysis, while the research instrument will be the content analysis matrix. The analysis of the previously mentioned sources will undoubtedly lead to a silent and relentless truth-lover and promoter of the truth about the Church and its pedagogical and educational contribution to BiH.

- Summary/Abstract:The concept of Zucht comes from the German philosopher and pedagogue Johann Friedrich Herbart (1776-1841). Herbart was notable in the field of education and pedagogy, and his theories about education influenced the development of pedagogy during the 19th and 20th centuries. The term Zucht is often translated in various ways, which can lead to loss of meaning or misunderstanding. In the German language, etymological dictionaries indicate that Zucht refers to the process of directing and shaping the behavior and character of students throughout upbringing and education. Herbart believed that this process was crucial for the development of students› moral, intellectual, and aesthetic abilities, and that educators should provide a structured environment in which students can develop these abilities. When translated into other languages, such as English and Croatian, the term Zucht can be lost in translation or translated in different ways, such as discipline, restraint, upbringing, direction, or even self-control. None of these translations alone fully encompass the entire spectrum of meaning that Herbart attributes to the term Zucht. - Summary/Abstract:The education reform of 2003 was the beginning of numerous changes in the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In a country with a large decentralization of the education system and a lack of a unified education policy, such big changes were accompanied by numerous challenges and difficulties. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully plan and prepare any change in the educational system, before starting the implementation. All this was not the case with the 2003 reform. The aim of the research was to examine the role and significance of the pedagogical service in the implementation of the reform, and whether there was a change in the position of the pedagogical service in the nine-year primary school compared to its position in the eight-year primary school. The research included pedagogues, teachers and principals and deputy principals of elementary schools in the Sarajevo Canton, who were involved in the process of reforming education. The results show that the role of pedagogues in any change in the educational system must be leading.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper follows the development of education on Croatian islands between 1945 and 2022 based on relevant primary and secondary sources. The falling trend in the number of pupils and the closing down of schools is analysed in detail, and the implications are explored – not only for the quality of life on the islands, but, in the final instance, for the continuation of that life. Collected dana revealed the trend of island depopulation has led to a declined number of pupils, more serious problems with organising their transfer from homes to schools, as well as difficulties in ensuring the teaching staff and sufficient equipment for island schools. The number of main schools in larger island towns and regional schools in smaller places categorised as “primary schools with difficult working conditions” is on the increase. Unfortunately, the most distant, small and sparsely populated islands no longer fulfil the conditions for having primary schools (both main and regional ones). Children and young people are prematurely leaving the family and island life in search of appropriate education in mainland cities which over a longer period, lowers the chances for their return after completing the education. Additionaly, schools have a particularly important role in re-establishing the balance between the needs and the possibilities of life on the islands, as young families with children cannot live there without schools.

- Summary/Abstract:The significance, importance, and purpose fullness of the role of the primary school teacher is increasingly being re-examined in the educational system or systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Today, the classroom teacher is seen as a person who only transmits or receives information about the success of students and their behavior, about the justification or unjustification of absences, and thereby loses the role of the one who primarily initiates the activities of students and teachers, who monitors phenomena and relationships in the class or coordinates educational actions in department. Such passive observation causally projects ideas in the direction of abolishing class community hours because children in schools are overloaded with teaching hours. Unacceptable, even if it’s a joke! The aim of this paper is to re-aware but also to point to “education” as the primary leadership role of classroom teachers in primary schools, and to problematize and present the objective point of view of the classroom teachers themselves on the position and role of classroom teachers in primary schools, the necessity of teacher education to perform the function of classroom teachers, but also knowledge of the developmental characteristics of students, especially in the period of puberty, the typification of the role of the classroom teacher in elementary school by the students, as well as the emergence of a contemporary mythological view of the role of the classroom teacher in the 21st century. Advocating a new paradigm of the teacher’s role, which is primarily reflected in a more pragmatic methodical approach through the application of restitution in the work of the teacher as a way to discipline but “without coercion” and the application of sociometric research methods in the work of the teacher in order to see those relationships between students that are not visible to the eye. Forms of work of primary school teachers, the importance of knowing parenting styles and the promotion/advocacy of egalitarian ethics when it comes to cooperation with parents will represent a step forward compared to the current practice in primary schools.

- Summary/Abstract:Modern childhood strives for an interdisciplinary approach in which pedagogy is united with information and communications technologies (ICT). In the educational structure, early and preschool education lays the foundation for the academic development of everyone. That is why it is important to pay a lot of attention to the implementation of ICT from an early age. The field of digial pedagogy actualizes the issue of ICT influence on children and focuses on the development of digital literacy and digital competence. Child’s first contact with digital technology takes place in a family environment and continues in educational institutions. By creating the conditions for the development of children’s digital competencies, the foundations for digital institutional education are being created. Currently, institutions for early and preschool education do not have the needed infrastructure to take over the complete digital education so it still takes place in the family. Previous research shows the positive and negative impacts of ICT on a child’s development. Quality organization of time spent in front of digital devices prevents the occurrence of negative influences and amplifies the positive ones. Therefore, it is important to explore the frequency of using information and communications technologies by children while they are outside educational institutions. The aim of this research was to determine the frequency and purpose of using ICT by early and preschool age children and the involvement of parents in content selection, sharing ICT and development of digital literacy of their children. For the purposes of this paper quantitative research was conducted through an online questionnaire in which participated 250 parents of early and preschool age children. The results are showing a growing trend of children’s exposure to ICT from an early age, so it is important to create an environment that will contribute to the quality growth of present generations. The complexity of growing up in digital environment requires the maximum involvement of all stakeholders in creating the conditions and the right approach to the development of digital competencies.

- Summary/Abstract:The paper presents the collected data on the representation of constructive elements of culture, more precisely content about culture and from culture in mass media - daily newspapers. The culture in broader sense defined as the life of people in its comprehensiveness, in a narrower sense it includes the values created by man. It includes a wide spectrum of human expression in the areas of: culture, language, performing arts, cultural customs, heritage, applied art, literature. Newspapers are the oldest and cheapest mass media. They reflect the spirit of the times in which they are created and reveal all the activities that take place in the community, but also foreshadow all the changes that will take place in a certain social community. We can differentiate five types of newspapers: daily, weekend, weekly, specialized newspaper and shopping guide. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. Considering the specificity of the content: they have four key roles: to inform the public about important and current events, to entertain, convince and convey culture and cultural values to readers. The aim of the work is to present the values and strength of daily newspapers as an effective means of shaping personal and social cultural identity. Apart from the theoretical presentation, the paper presents the results of the conducted research, which analyzed the content of the daily newspaper Oslobođenje, published over a period of seven days. Research results show that most of the titles belong to the field of justice, judiciary and crime. The least published titles are from the fields of science and technology and the field of ecology. When it comes to published content from the culture and cultural events in our country, the collected data indicate that titles that promote and/or announce film screenings and plays dominate. The collected data show that headlines of an informative and educational character lead the way.

- Summary/Abstract:Ljeto 1960. godine bilo je tipično vrelo ljeto kakva su bila ljeta u južnoj Hercegovini tih godina. Na plaži Jaz u Šurmancima tih vrelih dana vladala je prava vreva. Dno Neretve još uvijek nije bilo zatrpano šljunkom što će se dogoditi idućih godina izgradnjom magistralnog puta lijevom obalom i nove željezničke pruge desnom obalom rijeke. Neretva je krila brojne zamke u svojim uzburkanim bukovima i pećinama, pa je Jaz bio prava oaza i za slabije i nevješte plivače. Glavnu riječ na plaži vodili su najvještiji u plivanju, ronjenju i skakanju u vodu. Jaz je bio poput košnice. Bilo je tu dosta snažnih i vrlo vještih mladića, ali svojom pojavom posebno se isticao Mladen Bevanda. Te je godine završio Učiteljsku školu u Mostaru i svaki dan koristio je da uživa u zasluženom odmoru. Kratko ošišan, širokog, dobroćudnog osmijeha, preplanulog mišićavog tijela privlačio je poglede posebno nježnijeg dijela plaže. Izvodio je različite akrobacije na vodi, a osobito je bio impresivan način na koji je izvodio salto.

- Summary/Abstract:Osnivanje i djelovanje Katedre za pedagogiju na Filozofskom fakultetu u Sarajevu 1963. godine je bilo od velike važnosti za razvoj pedagoške znanosti u BiH. Osnivači Katedre za pedagogiju, profesori Petar Mandić, Nikola Filipović, Branko Rakić i Muhamed Muradbegović su s prvom generacijom studenata započeli raditi te 1963.godine. (Šušnjara, 2015, 2016) Katedra za pedagogiju je pored nastavne funkcije odigrala i važnu ulogu u razvoju pedagoških znanosti, čemu su pridonosili pedagoški radovi njezinih članova „[…] kako u ovoj sredini tako i šire jer su učinili značajne doprinose u inovacijama spoznaja i u tehnologiji obrazovanja.“ (Ilić 2005:57) Spomenuti profesori su aktivno sudjelovali u osnivanju pedagoških društava u BiH, a kasnije i u aktivnostima saveza pedagoških društava BiH i Jugoslavije. Uređivali su pedagoške časopise i priređivali različite susrete pedagoga i bivših studenata. Pisali su članke i priloge za pedagoške časopise u Jugoslaviji i BiH.

- Summary/Abstract:Predavanja kod profesora Bevande su bila srijedom. Srijedom popodne. Nije srijeda omiljeni studentski dan, a popodne je još manje drago vrijeme za realizaciju predavanja. No, srijedom popodne predavanja je realizirao profesor Bevanda, a onda više nije bilo važno koji je dan ili doba dana. Rijetki su bili dani kada je profesor Bevanda kasnio na nastavu, skoro da se to nikada i nije dogodilo. Bilo je to vrijeme kada nisu svi profesori redovito realizirali svoja predavanja, vrijeme u kojem su studenti često i dugo čekali neke svoje profesore. Cijenio je profesor Bevanda naše vrijeme srijedom popodne. Počinjao je na vrijeme, a onda završavao metodički precizno - ni prije ni kasnije, nego onda kada je procijenio da smo završili sve planirano, ne insistirajući na ostajanju do posljednje minute čime bi se učinilo nekada više štete nego koristi. Iako je tada bio među najstarijim profesorima koji su nas podučavali, fasciniralo me je njegovo razumijevanje čovjeka - mladog čovjeka. Razumijevao je on i naše neznanje i propuste i nemire i znao ih je zbrinuti čak i kada ništa direktno nije radio s njima. Blago i odmjereno je na njih ukazivao – nekada pomno biranim riječima i gestama, nekada tišinom. To smo, naravno, razumjeli tek mnogo kasnije.

- Summary/Abstract:Dr. Mladen Bevanda je napisao brojne radove iz različitih pedagoških disciplina. Sve je to urađeo korektno, sistematično i originalno. Historiju školstva, kojom se ponajviše bavio, nisam imao na osnovnom studiju pa me nekako to kasnije nije ni zanimala. Čak sam se u to vrijeme čudio ko će se tim baviti kada u pedagogiji ima toliko interesantnih disciplina, pod disciplina i problema za istraživanje. Čitajući Mladenovu knjigu Pedagoška misao Bosne i Hercegovine od 1918. do 1941. i druge radove iz i historije školstva uvjerio sam se da nisam bio u pravu. Shvatio sam koliko je to relevantan problem za historiju školstva i pedagogije uopće, koliko je to bitno za budućnost državne zajednice te koliko je neistraženo. To je izuzetno važno za sva druga pedagoška istraživanja. Kada čitate ovu knjigu onda vidite koliko je to značajan i bogat period u razvoju pedagoške misli i školske prakse u Bosni i Hercegovini od 1918.do 1941. godine. Riječ je o cjelovitom i sistematičnom djelu koje se temelji na brojnim dokumentima i drugim izvorima napisanim u tom vremenu. Koliko je trebalo snage, strpljenja i napora da se dođe do brojnih relevantnih arhivskih izvora i napiše tako i toliko o ovom problemu kako bi drugi istraživači nastavili dalje.

- Summary/Abstract:Pisati o profersoru Mladenu Bevandi nije samo čast, nego i prilika da iskažem zahvalnost na svemu što je nesebično dijelio sa mnom i sa brojnim generacijama studenata i studentica. Profesor Bevanda koji je bio prisutan i velikim dijelom obilježio moj akademski put, nije bio samo stručnjak u svojoj oblasti, nego i velika osobnost, pedagog, mentor, podrška čiji su lik i djelo sigurno ostavili dubok trag na sve one koji su imali sreću da ga upoznaju. Nevjerovatna smirenost, strpljivost i uvijek spremnost da se pomogne su karakteristike koje su krasile i krase lik profesora Bevande. Zaista je svima koji/e su se na svome studentskom putu susreli/e sa profesorom bilo jasno kako ispred sebe imaju nekoga ko ne samo da posjeduje ogromno iskustvo i znanje, nego nekoga ko sve to sa radošću i lakoćom dijeli sa drugima.

- Summary/Abstract:Prvi broj biltena GLAS HUTOVA izdao sam u ožujku 2010. godine. List je bio džepnoga formata zamišljen kao izdanje za vijesti iz Hutova. Izašlo je samo 25 brojeva jer moje radne obveze i pisanje knjiga nisu dopuštali nastavak izdavanja novih brojeva. Radio sam u Zavodu za zaštitu kulturne i povijesne baštine u HNŽ. Jedne prilike sam se našao u društvu s pok. Željkom Ragužem i prof. Bevandom u restoranu Roma u Mostaru. Akademiku Bevandi sam tada uručio GLAS HUTOVA, broj u kojem sam pisao o školstvu u općini Neum.

- Summary/Abstract:Kad sam počeo razmišljati o tom što ću pisati o kolegi, prijatelji i suradniku akademiku Mladenu Bevandi sjetio sam se poslovice prema kojoj se “po jutru dan poznaje.” Prve (pozitivne) dojmove o njemu stekao sam prije nego sam ga i upoznao, prije više od pedeset godina. Nakon sloma Hrvatskog proljeća (MASPOK-a)38 obnašao sam neke dužnosti u mom Širokom Brijegu (ondašnja Lištica) u kojem se (kao i u ostalim općinama Zapadne Hercegovine) pričalo samo o dužnosnicima koji su smijenjeni (svi u svim općinama), o broju optuženih za nacionalizam (svi koji su bili članovi matice Hrvatske – a malo tko nije bio) i broju zatvorenih (svi koji su išli na skupove i glasno podržavali Savku i Tripala – čelnike ondašnje Republike Hrvatske). Onda se među dužnosnicima u tim općinama počelo pričati i o općini Čitluk, odnosno o njihovom predsjedniku Mladenu Bevandi kako je na javnim skupovima govorio o problemima zaostalosti. njegove i svih drugih susjednih općina, o maloj ili nikakvoj pomoći republičkih (BiH) i državnih tijela vlasti pri izgradnji infrastrukturnih objekata (prometnica i dr.), o neulaganjima u zdravstvene, školske i sportske.i druge objekte, u podizanje industrijskih objekata, o odlasku ljudi u strane zemlje “trbuhom za kruhom” i drugim problemima. Nastavilo se o njemu pričati još više kad se u općini Čitluk počelo i ulagati u te. objekte, a. to je imalo pozitivne utjecaj i na ulaganja u drugim općinama, među njima i na ulaganja u Širokom Brijegu (u tvornicu “Soko Feal” i druge). Od tih godina nismo se puno sretali ni surađivali sve do 90-tih godina od kada je počelo intenzivnije druženje i suradnja u svim područjima, a najviše u Hrvatskom društvu za znanost i umjetnosti, na Sveučilištu u Mostaru i Hrvatskoj akademiji za znanost i umjetnosti.
