The purpose of this paper is to show some vowel changes of the speech in the region of Razlog, which is included in the Ѣ – vowel isoglottic area, particular the changes in its southern parts. It also analyzes the changes of the Ѣ, a, o – vowels existing in the dialects of Razlog, as well as the influence of phonetic factors over these changes

ДУБИТАТИВЪТ В БЪЛГАРСКИЯ ЕЗИК И ВЪЗПРОИЗВЕДЕНАТА РЕЧ

The main purpose of this paper is to present three types of reported utterances with dubitative (бил четял, бил чел, щял бил да чете, щял бил да е чел) in Bulgarian language: dubitative in quoted speech, indirect speech and directly reported speech. The third type called directly reported speech with dubitative, on one hand, doesn’t include the actual speech of the narrator as a first part of the utterance, in contrast to the utterances with indirect speech. On the other hand, the changed evi-dential status of the verb reduces differences between the indirect speech and the directly reported speech. Both the similarities and the differences prove the hypothesis that the directly reported speech with dubitative takes an intermediate position in the continuum quoted speech : indirect speech in Bulgarian.

ЗА ТАКА НАРЕЧЕНИЯ ДУБИТАТИВ В БЪЛГАРСКИЯ ЕЗИК – ФУНКЦИОНАЛНА И СЕМАНТИЧНА ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА

This paper explores the so called dubitative in Bulgarian which represents a unique morphological strategy for expressing doubt, uncertainty, irony, etc. Structured as a member of the peripheral structure of evidential system in Bulgarian, those forms exhibit doubling of resultative grammatical marker (-l morpheme) usually used as a marker expressing evidentiality, in our case purposefully used to express meanings from the domain of both – modality and evidentially. The paper discusses the semantic and functional features of the forms – paradigmatically presented in comparison with the unmarked indicative forms. Some conclusions are drawn from the data pre-sented in the paper.

A specific phenomenon of Bulgarian language is the homonymy between argument dative clitics and possessive clitics. This paper presents an analysis of ambiguous sentences with a dative clitic in verb-adjacent position. Usually, it is the clausal Dative position but the possibility of having a possessive interpretation proves that here possessive pronouns can appear after their movement outside the DP (the so-called “possessor raising”). Two distinct constructions expressing possession are recognized – with possessive clitic in a DP-external position and with an argument dative clitic as external possessor.

The book I'm offering to the readers’ attention includes two parts - a brief introduction to the Chinese hieroglyphs in order to clarify their function in Japanese writing and etymology of one hundred Chinese hieroglyphs. The hundred hieroglyphs are selected by the Chinese Ministry of Culture in a way that is representative of the hieroglyphs as a whole. The "Book of the Gates" is the third book of Ancient Egyptian Religious Texts series, which includes the main works of the Egyptian sacred tradition. "The Book of the Gates" is an ancient Egyptian magical book devoted to journey of the god of sun to the afterlife. Its name has been given because of the gates that close the spaces between the various parts of the underground kingdom. The book is intended for the Egyptian ruler; it was unavailable to the uninitiated. It first appeared in the middle of the New Kingdom (XIV BCE) and was recorded on the walls of the royal tombs.This edition contains an introduction, an ancient Egyptian translation (accompanied by translation), images of the scenes and commentary. It is published for the first time in Bulgarian.

MELO‐POETIC SYNTHESIS OF “THE SONG OF REXHA”

The Song of Rexha is a specific musical creation known not only to those who love Albanian folk music, but also to scholars of cultural and spiritual studies and related fields. Interest in this song has never ceased since its first appearance in sung form. The song attracts the attention of those interested to learn more about the event in the first place, to get to know the lyrics (in one of its many variants), to acquaint him/her with the text-melody synthesis, and eventually to learn about the way it was created and interpreted. Although we do not claim to have conclusive thoughts on any of its variants, the goal of this paper is to discuss various morphological components of “The Song of Rexha”, including the relationships between the interpreter and receiver in time and space.

BIRTOKVISZONY A MOLDVAI CSÁNGÓ NYELVJÁRÁSBAN

The attention on the Moldavian Csangos dialect dates back to the 19thcentury. The regular linguistic researches show that the Csango communities have preserved the archaic Hungarian dialect, rich in medieval elements. Recently, a number of Hungarian, Romanian, and foreign researchers have engaged in the issues of Hungarian language in Moldavia, so the published literature is very diverse and rich. The present paper focuses on the possessive adjective structures, which are manifested in the Moldavian Csango language. I analyse the general possessive adjective structures, their word orders, notations, meanings, and possessive-like locutions. The data was compiled from my own fieldwork and from the articles to be found at the Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Letters, Department of Hungarian and General Linguistics.

STUDIU CONTRASTIV AL FLECTIVULUI SUBSTANTIVAL ÎN LIMBA ROMÂNĂ ŞI ÎN LIMBA MAGHIARĂ

The aim of this study is to draw up a comparative analysis of morphemes accounting for the number and case inflection categories in Hungarian and Romanian. I have approached aspects related to the morphological structure of these unrelated languages so as to highlight both shared and divergent structural elements. The differences particularly pinpoint the two divergent morphological types, the agglutinative and the inflectional one in Hungarian and Romanian. However, the two languages do not make exclusive use of only one of these two types. Moreover, I have not tackled all inflectional paradigms but merely the aspects pointing at the different morphological structure of nouns in the two languages. I have reinforced my analysis with several examples from the two languages.
