Destalinizarea în versiune românească Cazul Miron Constantinescu - Iosif Chișinevschi 1956 - 1961
The climate created by Khruschev’s report to the 20th Congress of the CPSU became the ideal environment for some of the latent tensions accumulated in the Romanian Workers’ Party (P.M.R.) to break out. Miron Constantinescu and Iosif Chișinevschi thought it was time for a change in the party and, implicitly, in their personal careers, and they tried to describe Dej as a promoter of Stalinism. After the Soviet intervention in Hungary in the fall of 1956, Gheorghiu-Dej had the green-light to eliminate all those who had contested his position: Chișinevschi and Miron Constantinescu, first of all, and this happened in the Plenum of the of P.M.R. Central Committee on June 28-29 - July 1-3, 1957.
