The paper examines the role of art (creativity) in the development of the sense of lifeof inmates. The goal of this study is to show the relationship between creative activity ofprisoners and their understanding of the meaning of life. The study was conducted on theset of natural groups: from the group of 41 men, 19 qualified for the experimental group(active creatively) and 22 qualified for the control group (uncreative activity). The twogroups did not differ in terms of age, marital status, length of sentence, education, criminalrecord, or a sense of loneliness. The results show that men undergoing imprisonment andexhibiting interest in some form of active participation in the arts were characterized bya higher level of search for the meaning of life in comparison with the prisoners having nocreative activity. The results are consistent with the other studies carried out among thesocially disadvantaged.

The sersera of the guembri: anthropological approach to the device in the context of Gnawa diasporas in Brussels and Morocco

In Gnawa music, the three-stringed lute called guembri plays a central role. According to Sum (2012, p. 52), “the guembri attracts the mluk (supernatural entities summoned in gnawa ceremonies) by sounding their musical identities, effectively sounding their names (...), (as well as) calling on the adept (...). Upon arrival of the spirit, the guembri, as the adept, becomes possessed.” The guembri is equipped with a detachable idiophone consisting of metal loops or rings fixed around the edges of a metal sheet, inserted into the neck. This device, called the sersera, is mostly audible during solo moments. It has been often noticed, or briefly described (Baldassarre 1999), but never analyzed in detail. However, it seems important for us to include the sersera in the analysis of the status, meaning and roles of the guembri timbre. Taking it into consideration will provide a new approach leading to better understanding of many facets of the instrument, including its cultural value. The sersera was used before and it is still made and carried by musicians, but nowadays it is barely employed either in Morocco or in Belgium. Through confrontation of the acoustical analysis and the information found in literature with the musicians’ experience, this paper tries to find the reasons of this obsolescence.

Лошадей надо разнуздывать, кормить-поить, ставить на покой в стойло, для ямщиков и седоков — съезжая изба или избы, трактир (или трактиры), ну, на всякий случай, девки, кузни и шорни, где можно починить или поменять что-то в сбруе или экипаже (санках). Ямы или ямские слободы постепенно обрастали хозяйством и людьми: покосы, скотина, огороды, поля — хозяйство изначально формировалось не как натуральное, а как товарное, привязанное к тракту. Пре тачно тридесет година, 1994, објављен је први број, прва свеска научног часописа Годишњак за друштвену историју. Корице су биле наранџасте боје, а намера је била да сваке године буду другачије. Тако би се три свеске, колико их је објављивано годишње, спојиле у један „годишњак“. Прва илустрација коју је Милан Ристовић одабрао за насловну страну била фотографија Милета Рајковића, Породични излет у Соко Бањи (1908). Председник часописа био је Андреј Митровић, главни и одговорни уредник Милан Ристовић, али, поред тога, свака свеска је посебно, првих пар година, имала и свог уредника међу тадашњим докторантима.1 Поред Митровића и Ристовића, редакцију часописа у почетку чинили су и Љубодраг Димић, Миле Бјелајац, Дубравка Стојановић, Мирослав Јовановић и Предраг Ј. Марковић.

САБЛАСТИ БУМЕРА: ГЕНЕРАЦИЈСКИ ИЛИ КЛАСНИ СУКОБ?

Категорија идентитета већ деценијама функционише као један од основних аналитичких алата за истраживаче и критичаре. Њена употреба, уз самодопадну саморазумљивост која је најчешће прати, распрострањена је у тој мери да је свест о њеној историјској условљености, као и о теоријским и интерпретативним ограничењима, готово ишчилела. „Право на идентитет”, к томе и на његову одбрану и адекватну репрезентацију у култури и уметности, третира се као неприкосновено. Поред пословично угроженог, трауматског идентитета националних књижевности, нарочито у југословенским оквирима, моралистичка аргументација, која свој критички апарат заснива на реконструкцији одређене трансценденталне вредности, присутна је и у приступима које бисмо колоквијално означили као „прогресивне”, „ангажоване” и томе слично.

ИНТЕРКУЛТУРАЛИЗАМ ДИМИТРИЈА МИТРИНОВИЋА

На основу сачуваних докумената, видимо да се још од пролећа 1914. Димитрије Митриновић стално залагао за европску свест о заједништву. То се уочава у платформи Аријска Европа коју је написао у то време. Њене главне идеје су, суштински, најава онога што ће у разрађенијем облику бити речено и 1931, у платформи групе Нова Европа, коју ћемо анализирати касније. Наиме, зачеци идеје уједињене Европе јављају се у време Митриновићевог боравка у Минхену, где се повезао са групом европских интелектуалаца који су покушавали да предупреде избијање Првог светског рата, с идејом да окупе европску интелигенцију око циља који су назвали: „Ка будућем човечанству преко аријске Европе”.

ŽENSKO ISKUSTVO U SPREZI TRAUME I ISTORIJE U ROMANU MILOSRĐE

U romanu Milosrđe Toni Morison ispisuje traumatsko iskustvo, kao i stvaranje i rastvaranje veza pet žena u nemilosti američkog kontinenta u sedamnaestom vijeku. Putem bliskog i intimnog iskaza toka svijesti, ona vodi čitaoce u svijet prednacionalne i predrasne Amerike, u svijet beskrajne divljine Novog kontinenta, kada su nacionalni i rasni identiteti kao osjećaji i pojmovi tek nastajali, a žene, bez obzira na boju kože i status u društvu, uvijek bile u nekoj vrsti nepovoljnog i po život opasnog položaja. U često citiranom intervjuu za National Public Radio, gdje je razgovarala sa Lin Nir, Morison ističe da je „željela odvojiti rasu od ropstva, da vidi kako je to moglo izgledati, kako je moglo biti, biti rob, ali van konteksta rasizma, odnosno rasne inferiornosti” (Morrison, 2013). Radnja romana ukazuje na činjenicu da ropstvo i rasizam u Americi nisu postojali od samog nastanka, od njezinih kolonijalnih početaka, već da su, zapravo, nastali tako što su bili konstruisani, podmetnuti, institucionalizovani i na kraju ozakonjeni, a autorka kroz male, lične priče marginaliziranih osoba iscrtava taj put i to s naglaskom na ženskom iskustvu.

ISSUES RELATED TO ADAPTATION OF NORMS ON PROPER SPEECH STYLES: THE CASE OF CHURCH DISCOURSES

Miloš Vučević, izabrani predsjednik Vlade Republike Srbije, posjetio je 4. maja 2024. godine patrijarha Porfirija sa željom da mu izloži namjere u svom političkom djelovanju. O tome susretu objavio je na društvenim mrežama: Radujem se što sam svoj prvi zvanični sastanak u funkciji predsednika Vlade Srbije, dan uoči najvećeg i najradosnijeg hrišćanskog praznika, obavio upravo sa Njegovom Svetosti, Patrijarhom srpskim G. G. Porfirijem. Nakon sadržajnog razgovora, zatražio sam od NJ. S. blagoslov za obavljanje jedne od najodgovornijih funkcija u državi. Patrijarh Porfirije mi je, uz očinski blagoslov, darovao ikonu Svetog Save, oca Srpske duhovnosti, prvog i najvećeg srpskog prosvetitelja, osnivača naše Crkve, simbola sabornosti Crkve, države i naroda; uz poruku da koračamo njegovim stazama i da gradimo nasušno i svima potrebno jedinstvo. Srpska pravoslavna crkva je jedna od najvažnijih institucija srpskog naroda. Ona je očuvala nacionalnu svest tokom viševekovnog ropstva, u velikoj meri je gradila identitet, ostajala i u onim krajevima gde prerogativa državne vlasti nije bilo, očuvala narod i sa njim zajedno stradala.

Nad jednom stolačkom sevdalinkom

Ključna riječ u kojoj je skoncentrirana i emocionalna i semantička vrijednost sevdalinke i istovremeno uporišna tačka od koje valja krenuti u svakoj ozbiljnijoj analizi jeste leksem sevdah. Ova riječ je vremenom poprimila, upravo zbog njezine noseće uloge, čitav spektar polifonične značenjske frakture, počev od njenog denotativnog semantičnog sloja (ljubav, čežnja, bol) pa do konotativnog simboličkog i alegorijskog simbola jedne urbane profinjenosti i rafiniranosti jednog vremena i jednog “suptilnijeg izraza i erosa koji progovara kroz sevdalinku.” Razumije se samo po sebi kako je ova magična riječ kod nas zadobila naročita značenja u simbiozi sa “slavensko-bogumilskom sjetnom prolaznošću” na jednoj, i njezinom izvornom inicijacijom, na drugoj strani. Primarno za nas je sevdah strasna i bolna patnja ali je na drugoj strani sjetna i slatka ljubavna čežnja. Ovakva bipolarnost priskrbljuje sevdahu puninu i cijelu lepezu osjećanja, koja u konačnici oplemenjuju ličnost, bez obzira na konačan ishod takvih nastojanja. Ishodišni cilj u konačnici i nije ljubavno sjedinjenje, koje se razumijeva kao profano prizemljenje duha, nego ukupna ispunjenost bića kome je takvo osjećanje znak posebnosti i ekskluziviteta. Nije svakome dato takvo stanje duha i sama činjenica dovoljna je da akteru pribavi potrebnu puninu i distinkciju naspram prizemnih stanja. Svejedno pred takvom realizacijom stoje razne prepreke, jednom individualne, drugi put kolektivne, pa se sevdah “pokazuje kao mučenje koje čine drugi i kao samomučenje i slast šibanja izlučena i samim uživljavanjem u žudnju, mazohističkim doživljavanjem ljubavi i pored svijesti o njenoj uzaludnosti.”

Carl Patsch i Grgo Matić Mlinarević. Arheologija jednog prijateljstva

Der aus Böhmen stammende und in Prag und Wien ausgebildete Wissenschaftler Carl Patsch (1870–1945) kam 1893 als Epigraphiker nach Bosnien-Herzegowina und wurde in dieser Eigenschaft Mitarbeiter und später Leiter (Kustos) der römischen Abteilung des Bosnisch-herzegowinischen Landesmuseums in Sarajevo. Die feste Anstellung ermöglichte ihm wissenschaftliche Exkursionen in verschiedene Regionen bis nach Albanien und Kleinasien. Bedeutend waren unter seiner Leitung durchgeführte Ausgrabungen in Skelani an der Drina, in der Region Bihać, in Konjic und besonders aufwendig in Mogorjelo in der Herzegowina, wo in einem Zeitraum von 1899–1914 ein spätantiker Herrensitz (villa rustica) freigelegt und rekonstruiert wurde. 1904 gründete Patsch in Sarajevo das Bosnisch-herzegowinische Institut für Balkanforschung. Ermöglicht wurden diese Unternehmungen durch die großzügige Unterstützung der bosnisch-herzegowinischen Landesregierung, die damit die zivilisatorische Mission der Österreichisch-Ungarischen Monarchie in Bosnien-Herzegowina nach außen unter Beweis stellen wollte. Nach dem Zerfall der Monarchie verließ Patsch Sarajevo und übersiedelte im September 1919 nach Wien, wo er von 1921 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1934 eine Professur für slawische Geschichte und Altertumskunde mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Balkanländer innehatte. 1928 wurde er ordentliches Mitglied der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Im Februar 1945 kam er zusammen mit seiner Tochter Hildegard bei einem Luftangriff auf Wien ums Leben. Der Nachlaß des Archäologen Patsch, ursprünglich im Bestand des Südost-Instituts, befi ndet sich heute im Bayerischen Hauptstaatsarchiv in München. Das Thema des vorliegenden Beitrags sind Briefe, die Patschs Mitarbeiter und Gehilfe bei den Ausgrabungen von Mogorjelo in den Jahren 1916–1930 an seinen Vorgesetzten geschrieben hat. Es handelt sich insgesamt um sechs Schreiben an Patsch, von denen zwei während des Ersten Weltkriegs nach Sarajevo, die restlichen vier zwischen 1922 und 1930 nach Wien geschickt wurden. Der Verfasser der Briefe, Grgo Matić Mlinarević (1877–1943), ursprünglich ein analphabetischer Bauer aus dem herzegowinischen Dorf Trebižat bei Čapljina, stand volle fünfzehn Jahre (1899–1914) im Dienste Patschs und lernte mit dessen Hilfe Lesen und Schreiben; als Mitarbeiter war er äußerst zuverlässig und vertrauenswürdig, was Patsch in seinen Lebenserinnerungen an mehreren Stellen anerkennend hervorhebt. (Die Lebenserinnerungen sind ein Teil des Patsch-Nachlasses und liegen nun auch in gedruckter Form vor: Hg. Daniel Baric: Die Lebenserinnerungen von Carl Patsch. Archäologie eines Lebens zwischen Böhmen und Bosnien, Berlin 2023.) Die in den Nachkriegsjahren verfassten Briefe sind in ihrem privaten Charakter und dem vertrauten und freundschaftlichen Ton ein Beispiel der volkstümlichen Epistolographie, dazu eine wichtige Quelle für die Sozialgeschichte einer Mikroregion, die von der Wirtschaftskrise der 1920er und 1930er Jahre besonders hart getroffen wurde. In einer solchen Situation und aus der späteren Perspektive konnten dem Adressanten Matić Mlinarević die mit Patsch verbrachten Jahre nur als eine ideale und sorgenlose Zeit erscheinen: Wären Sie in unserem Staate geblieben, hätte ich es lieber als all mein Hab und Gut (1930). Der Beitrag enthält im Anhang alle Briefe in exakter Transkription und mit entsprechenden Erläuterungen.

Šta je posao novinara?

Ako se zapitamo zašto postoje novinari, očigledan je odgovor da novinari pružaju jednu bitnu uslugu — izveštavaju o vestima. U mnogim oblastima svog života donosimo odluke na osnovu informacija za koje nemamo sredstava ni znanja da ih sami prikupimo, već u tome svakodnevno zavisimo od profesionalnih novinara. Novinari prikupljaju podatke i izveštavaju o vestima da bismo ih mi dalje koristili. Kao i u slučaju svake druge dragocene i potencijalno opasne supstance, čistoća informacija je od najveće važnosti. U prvom delu ove knjige videćemo da se celokupna novinarska etika može sažeto predstaviti kao obaveza novinara da u najvećoj mogućoj meri izveštavaju istinito o stvarima relevantnim za javni interes.

In the 13th century history of our country, there are holidays that we associate with great events. The Day of the National Awakeners, November 1st, is one of these holidays, although we do not associate it only with a specific event. It occupies a worthy place in the holiday calendar of Bulgarians. Many people believe that only our revivalists and writers can be called “awakeners”, but for me this concept is broader. In addition to the educators who worked in school and cultural institutions in the past, I also include: modern teachers who teach knowledge to adolescents; creators of books and textbooks; cultural figures who, with their potential, create music, dances, poetic and prose works; all people who today help to preserve and develop education and culture.

The text proposes an interpretation of cultural works that challenge dominant imagery, referencing Michel Foucault's concept of counter-history, which contrasts biblical history with Roman history. The former represents the marginalized voices of the weak, providing a narrative that opposes the justifications of power offered by the latter. Foucault argues that biblical discourse advocates for rebellion against unjust laws and the glorified status of institutions, while Roman discourse pacifies society and legitimizes authority. The radical challenge to established themes and images is portrayed as a plea for societal acceptance of subversion, rebellion, and resistance against "sacred" traditions and cultural roles.
