Summary/Abstract: This article was born out of the author’s privilege and responsibility to contribute to the constructive debate on the clarification and lucidity of the terminological apparatus of the phenomenology of precedent texts. The author’s input is through the lens of linguocultural and linguocognitive studies. The precedents are regarded as linguocultural emblematics and precedentology (phenomenology of precedent texts) as a theory of linguocultural emblems. This study launches another research challenge for the Plovdiv School of Linguocultural Studies, a challenge aimed at a more comprehensive and in-depth academic study on linguocultural emblematics as an important sector of cultural emblematics.
