The military intervention issue brings about heated debates among military analysts regarding employment of foreign forces to ensure global security especially in the current context in which states cope with various risks and threats to both national and international security systems. The analysis of the military intervention in Yugoslavia, from the year 1999, might set a standard for military political alliances as well as for the designated international bodies in charge of ensuring collective security with a view to identifying the most effective ways that would prevent military conflict. At a global level, military intervention especially has turned into a rapid way of solving international differences, in the last few years.Lately, one has resorted to the lessons learned in the military interventions conducted at the end of the twenthieth century. The designated staff for militay political decisions at a strategic level must assess various types of threats and eventually find the most appropriate stance for the armed forces.

This article presents the recruitment lists of two cavalry regiments of the Habsburg army (the regular 7th Hussar Regiment and the 11th Border Guard Hussar Regiment) from the years 1804-1805.Besides major changes in warfare, military organization and borders shifts in Europe, the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars brought a dramatic increase of the numbers of French soldiers available on the battlefield. This situation forced the countries that were at war with the new France that had emerged from the French Revolution to implement reforms. Among these countries was the Habsburg Monarchy, which included both the Hungarian Kingdom and the Great Principality of Transylvania.I chose the above mentioned time span because these years marked the end of the first period of reorganization that tried to renew the Habsburg army, which had previously been defeated by France in the first two Wars of Coalition. I was interested in the types of the recruitment lists that were used at the time and I was also curious if these documents contained any kind of medical information about the recruits.

The drones and the series of UAV with limited authonomy largely used in military intervention were created by the necessity ofhigher efficiency in prevention and control missions accomplishedby special forces, missions required by the increasing intensity and diversity of worldwide terorism, by the challenge of military conflictualsituations, as well as by the necessity for support in urban public order missions. Over the last decades, sustained efforts have been made worldwide and considerable sums have been invested in state of-the-art innovative technology research to develop and improve UAV device performance. It is good to appreciate the increasing role of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) in solving certain conflicts and the execution of high-profile attacks just as is the case for present day military planners.

The political and military relation between Romania and Russia during 1916 were marked by several milestones as follows: the signing of the political and military convention on 4/17 August, the military cooperation in Dobruja and in the Eastern Carpathians, the provision of the conditions for an important part of the Romanien armed forces to regroup in Moldova in early December. The collaboration was not only direct, through the Romanian and Russian military missions attached to the Great General Headquartiers, but also indirect, through the correspondence between the political and military decision-making factors in the two countries. Under the circumstances of the major crisis in December 1916, Russian authorities unsuccessfully attempted to subordinate the Romanian state military capabilities east of the Dniester. The collaboration between the two allied countries proved to be, because of the Rissian authorities attitude, a factor that contributed to Romania’s insecurity.

Both history and recent events are living proofs that a state must have strong institutions to survive. In this context, military counterintelligence services play an important role because, through their specific activity, they protect state armies from external threats while trying to diminish internal vulnerabilities. Once these objectives have been achieved, the army continues to provide an important part of national security, playing a vital role both in peacetime and especially in wartime, in ensuring stability and in managing critical events. This paper describes how the counterintelligence military services have played an important role in the historical events that have contributed to the achievement of the Romanian state in the form we know today.

The legality of the evidence obtained through the use of special methods of technical surveillance continues to be a topic of interest in national judicial practice. National courts have an obligation to verify whether technical surveillance warrants have been enforced by the competent bodies. At the national level, we notice a practice of some prosecutors to answer the questions addressed by the courts, in the sense that the Romanian Intelligence Service provided a simple technical support in the criminal investigation activity, without actually carrying out criminal investigation acts. The issue of the competence of the criminal investigation body that enforced the technical surveillance warrant is a particularly difficult one, especially in the situation where the representatives of the Public Ministry claim that they executed the technical surveillance warrant through the judicial police officers within the D.O.S. or D.G.A., and there are no documents of the delegation prosecutor for this activity in the case file. Carrying out the technical surveillance, as a probative procedure, in violation of the legal conditions, including those referring to the bodies empowered to execute the surveillance warrant, has as effect the nullity of the evidence thus obtained. The present paper aims to highlight, in the light of examples from national judicial practice, the cases in which the technical support provided by other state institutions acquires the validity of a procedural act that must be sanctioned with absolute nullity.
