European railway transport that it’s still based on national considerations, in comparison with the predominant trend of client orientation is in the phase of establishing an area of integrated railway transportation. First steps of the European transportation liberalization were made from 2000 through the project Railway package, through which International Chamber of Commerce proposes a series of measures in order to liberalize railway transports and to have a market orientation. The partnership between govern authorities, managers and infrastructure owners must be unreeled on the basis of a schedule that refers to the application of liberalization decisions and the integration of the entire rail transportation network of goods starting with 2008. The insistences of European Commission were also asserted through White Charter that defines the measures, proposals and functioning principles but also the creation of European Railway Transportation Agency.

This paper is a brief overview of the evolution of the global automotive industry during the 20th century, with reference to the main manufacturers, oil crises of 1970-1980, and also the global financial and economic crisis that began in 2008. The analyzed period covers the rise of the Asian Continent, beginning with Japan, then South Korea and more recently the emerging countries: China and India. What was predicted 20-25 years ago, became reality: Asia becomes the economic centre of the world, surpassing unexpectedly fast even the Euro-Atlantic area. Regarding Romania, the revival delay of the automobiles industry, led to the loss of the trucks and bus industry, and after a much awaited rehabilitation of car production, this has stuck now at an unsatisfactory level.

In this paper I discussed the factors that influence the cultural adaptation of products. Globalization determines the companies to operate abroad; therefore the firms sell their products to markets where the consumer patterns might differ from their national market. It is of high importance to be able to understand and to adapt to local consumer habits. The culture has a strong influence on products adaptation in particular, and on international marketing in general. Companies must be able to adapt their products, but, in the same time, to keep the note of originality, so that the global image of brand to gain consistency. Global brands provide a larger advantage regarding the marketing activities and costs. Savy companies are capable to recognize and to use cultural differences in their use.

Errors are studied in order to find out something about the foreign language learning process. Error analysis (EA) involves collecting errors, studying them, classifying them in various ways and suggesting possible causes. Language teachers have been doing this for years but recently, partly as a result of increased interest in psycholinguistic research, attempts have been made to consider more systematic and formal analyses of errors. Whatever the reason for these errors, analysis shows where most remedial teaching is need and may suggest ways of approaching it. By describing and classifying students’ errors in linguistic terms, we build up a picture of the features of the language which are causing learning problems.

The need for interdependencies between different disciplines to address (theoretically and practically) the optimal solution to certain problems in various areas, based on these realities, has resulted, ever since the mid twentieth century, today being already advanced, at a macro level, the concept of "Hybrid Age" an equivalent to the fourth wave (in Toffler's language) in which human evolution turns into a man-technology co-evolution. So, "disciplinarity"-based concepts (trans, multi, inter) acquire complex meanings, completing initial area meanings, all these with the purpose of searching for new sources of organizational performance. The article investigates the issue of organizations' material resources approach (role and importance) in terms of principles and methodologies that are specific to a relatively young science, Logistics, with a specific management claimed to be solved by both economists and engineers. In the same note, in agreement with the theme of this conference, we also lay emphasis on the fact that there are discussions in Logistics literature regarding the civil-military inter-conditioning type, with significant results in the improvement of best practices in the field of logistics activities’ outsourcing.

Emergency situations are those events which, by their appearance and development, prevent the maintenance of a security environment conducive to daily activities and their removal is a complex process that involves the use of various quantitative and qualitative resources in a coherent managerial framework. Emergency management provides for certain stages starting from the identify cation of the situation, planning, organizing and coordinating the mode of action, training of the resources and personnel involved and the fi nal evaluation of the event. In order to solve these emergencies, there are specialized structures that intervene and restore the state of normality. When the recorded situation or event exceeds a certain magnitude and the structures fail to cope with the negative effects, they request the support of the army.

In the literature, logistics is considered to be an essential area of modern business activity. In fact, over the past 15 to 20 years, the term logistics has become more and more important, and its field has been really spectacular. Such mutations, some of a practical nature, others of a conceptual nature, have resulted in a reorientation from focusing on physical distribution, to analysis of the entire logistic system, logistics progressing from the source stage to physical distribution operations, operations carried out separately at the stage current source of added value and competitive advantage, based on the supply-delivery chain concept. Such mutations have led to the emergence of new terms, some of which are considered synonymous, being used to describe the same area of logistics ultimately. We refer to terms such as physical distribution, logistics, logistics management, supply chain management, etc.

We have to admit that public library has to be close connected to its readers needs; in order to respond in an appropriate manner to their requests, it needs to open some communication channels to all social groups that might be interested in library services. Because of financial resources, that are quite limited, librairies have to replace „traditional” means - such as folders, calendars etc. - by something more „professional”: the social statute of library, as an institution, and implicitly, of its representants, as the image of the highest intelectual level. Another way of attracting readers is to offer them new, untraditional, services, such as the organizing of CIC (Center of Comunity Information), CIT (Centre of Touristic Information), connection to Internet etc.
