More...Hvala Allahu, uzvišenom Gospodaru, kome pripada stvaranje, moć i uzvišenost, u čijem vlasništvu nema promjene ni izmjene, niti postoji u njegovoj vlasti prenošenje ni premještanje.

The conducted longitudinal research (1999-2016) about young, educated examinees’ perception on changes in typical women and men roles showed a high degree of egalitarism in the Croatian public sphere, controlled by different kinds of profession and role characteristics. On the other hand, in the private sphere, it was shown that women today have an even more difficult role in the family than before – women again play their traditional roles, such as taking care of children and the elderly, taking them to doctors, taking part in parents’ meetings in schools. Men tend to help them in their housework, but participate less in activities connected to children, their education and upbringing. This increases men’s chance in employment and professional development. Consequently, women still dominantly spend their free time on family matters and taking care of their personal appearance, unlike men, who spend their free time mostly on themselves. Although typical modern family and egalitarian relations are still an ideal for the young, the practice is a bit different than in 1999. The continuation of cumulating roles for women, the modern and traditional ones, without redistribution, raises the question whether traditional understandings or “traditionalities of necessity” are strengthened in response to leaving the responsibility for organization of family life exclusively to individuals.

A man is considered to be a nutritionist and a public relation to the world, which is a result of patriarchal perception of gender roles, within a traditional family perception. Patriarchs who attribute superiority to men and impose certain codes of conduct and responsibility within society and family by giving men, as well as women, a role based on gender division, puts pressure on the male sex by stifling it with a sterile pattern of behavior. The superior position of a man, given to him at birth and developed throughout his life, is socially conditional, and the socially desirable behavior, that insists on “manhood”, condemns any deviation from this norm. Exactly this, is the theme of Füruzan’s and Erendiz Atasü’s narratives, which are the subject of this paper. The whole spectrum of behavior that has been imposed on a man since his early childhood is normal and he has to respect it because otherwise he would betray his family and his own masculinity. That same burden and the relationship that the patriarchal society imposes on him, stigmatizing the role of his “masculinity” in the family – is a learned pattern, and disrespecting it, is characterized as deviant behavior or disobedience.

La place à côté des grandes maisons a servi pour »scene of the public and festive life«, comme l’a défini Malinowski.

The article describes women’s and men's costumes from villages around Maruševec. The basic garment of the woman’s dress was a wide, gathered skirt, with a vest sewn to it, decorated with lace and embroidery. A blouse with wide sleeves was worn under it. The costume was completed by an embroidered apron, scarf, and shoes or boots, as well as a woolen shoulder-scarf or coat in winter. Men used to wear linen shirts, linen trousers and woolen vests, with obligatory hats and boots. A woolen coat was added in winter. Nowadays this costume has practically disappeared from usage. Some parts can still be seen on old women, and is also used as a death-bed attire. There are attempts at the reconstruction of the costume, however, such as the successful action in an elementary school in Varaždin. They made new costumes using the museum specimens as a sample.

Just like in Portugal there is a tendency among poets to write verses for the fado, in Macedonia there is an increasing tendency to set to music the poems by great Macedonian poets. In both cases, this reveals the intention of poets to become popular through their poetry, to become accessible to the public (Res Publica(s) - public works), like music is, there is the intention to liberate poetry itself. This text will attempt to answer the following questions: Should we not recognize in the simple and compact Macedonian poem/song, as well as in the Portuguese fado, the avant-garde poetry of point zero which shapes the world and culture with the faith in the real world – in the original? Do the poems of the great poets such as Petre M. Andreevski from Macedonia and Vasco Graca Moura from Portugal (the recipient of the Golden Wreath of Poetry in the internationally acclaimed Struga Poetry Evenings) reveal the nostalgia for the original, as well as play around with the cracks in/from that original, building on this idea of the cultural memory of the simple and compact Macedonian poetry, i.e., the Portuguese fado?

This paper seeks to interpret the term "Meshech of the bow", a unique gentilic in the Book of Isaiah. Placed within a part of the Book of Isaiah referred to in redactional methodology as Trito-Isaiah, Isaiah 66:19 lists several gentilic names: “I will set a “sign” among them and will send survivors from them to the nations: Tarshish, Put, Lud, Meshech of the bow, Tubal, and Yavan, to the distant coastlands that have neither heard my fame nor seen my glory. They will declare my glory among the nations.” Among them is a certain Môšḵê qešet, translated as "Meshech of the bow". Meshech is a reference to Phrygia between Lydia and Tubal/Tabal in Central Anatolia. The term "Meshech of the bow" is not a recognized ancient Near Eastern gentilic name. The reference to the "bow" in Isaiah 66:19 can be understood as a marker for a literary allusion to Genesis 9:13: “I have set My “bow” in the cloud, and it shall be for a “sign” of a covenant between Me and the earth”. The use of another marker in the Masoretic text, the word "sign" (ôt) in both Isaiah 66:19 and Genesis 9:13 further strengthens this interpretation.

Pjesme, dakle, stignu dokle i ljudi stignu.
