The hereby paper aims at corroborating the information provided by lexicographical sources for a range of Spanish idioms including the word boca and their Romanian equivalents, by means of a contextual analysis model. The semantic behaviour will be analysed based on contexts found on the internet, and our approach will deal both with convergences and divergences, so that a clear assessment may be performed and pertinent conclusions may be drawn. Moreover, aspects such as positive or negative connotation, language levels, the type of subject or object the idiom can refer to in the two languages, etc. will be observed.

La forma verbale italiana andarsene e i suoi corrispondenti romeni

The article briefly presents the methods of transposing the Italian verbal form andarsene into Romanian. In order to present such methods, we have used examples from the novel Il deserto dei Tartari by Dino Buzzati (Milano, Oscar Mondadori, 2004) and its Romanian version Deşertul tătarilor, translation and timeline by Niculina Benguş-Tudoriu, Bucharest, Univers, 1996.

This article analyzes the use of the reflexive pronoun себя (myself), in Russian language as well as the problems of the search word equivalents of pronouns in Czech. In addition, we analyze the case of the usual use of the pronoun and the possibility of translation into the Czech language. Particularly the phraseological units with the pronoun are noteworthy.

ARM AND LEG IDIOMS IN THE BNC AND COCA CORPORA: VIEWS ON THE CULTURAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BRITISH AND AMERICAN SOCIETY

Phraseological units, primarily idioms are those types of linguistic units which reveal to a great extent how certain linguistic community copes with its surroundings. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate how idioms in English language are actually differently used across different genres in British and American linguistic communities, and try to explain those results in light of the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis. The study was conducted on the basis of the idioms that have the same body part, namely arm and/or leg, and those idioms were then compared in two corpora – the BNC (British National Corpus) and COCA (Corpus of Contemporary American English).

PROTOTYPICAL CATEGORIZATION - LINGUOCOGNITIVE FORM OF FLEXIBLE RATIONALITY

The article discusses the prototypical categorization as linguocognitive form of the flexible rationality. Flexible rationality reveals the correlation of the rational and irrational in cognition. The embodiment form of the flexible linguistic consciousness is a concept as a category protoform. The process of formation of the conception from the concept is a prototypical categorization. Serving as the cognitive “tool”, prototypical categorization as a linguistic structure demonstrates the perception integrity and meaning system of the cognizing subject as the ontic holistic bearer of the flexible rationality in unity of the anthropological and socio-cultural specifics.

EL ESTATUS DEL NÁHUATL COMO LENGUA MINORITARIA

This paper offers a reflection on the linguistic and sociolinguistic status of Nahuatl, a language with the highest number of speakers among Indo-Mexican languages. Controversial issues about Nahuatl unity/diversity, pertinence of standardization and literacy are discussed here. In the last part, the effects of linguistic contact are analyzed and it is demonstrated that in spite of its 1.5 million speakers, it is a language in danger due to the ongoing displacement.

Исторически екскурс на движението за езикова чистота в някои европейски страни

The research paper presents a diachronic review of language purity movements in some European countries. It aims at examining purism in the history of standard Bulgarian against the background of the European language situation so that they can be compared and contrasted in a future research. Thus, the typical features characterizing Bulgarian language purism could be made clear. On the one hand, the review of the purism movements is focused on important moments from the language situations in neighboring Slavic and Non- Slavic countries such as Greece and Turkey, as well as countries that influenced the development of European purism (Italy, France). On the other hand, with regard to the typological characteristics of standard Bulgarian and solving the puzzle of the Slavic language situations, the author reviews purism movements in Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, The Check Republic and Slovakia. A conclusion is drawn that the purism movements develop in a similar way: they start with the praise of the native language, patriotism and a negative evaluation of the foreign language (ethnic community). Then, there is a transition towards rejection of the foreign language and establishment of the native language by proving its benefits, thereby referring to home classics or colloquial units of aristocratic or egalitarian nature. Most obvious are the demonstrations of 'cleansing' at the level of lexis and grammar. The above forms of purism do not occur as alternatives but are often combined.

The article deals with the concept of 'vanity'. Usually the concepts have a basic meaning, up to date for all carriers of a particular culture, additional "passive" tags that are important to particular social groups and an internal, unconscious form. The concept of 'vanity' as an element of a valueable picture of the world has a different semantic scope, in many ways it is real for different social groups and is experienced differently in different periods of culture development. In the paper we analyse the processes of understanding and interpretation of this concept, as well as its emotional coloring in the media discourse.

The report presents the illustration of the dependency of phonological and phonetic interpretation of the facts on the ability of the researcher to abstract from the stereotypes of the native language. The report also demonstrates the difference of articulatory settings in implementing Russian voiced and voiceless consonants and Turkish consonants opposed on the grounds of otumlu / otumsu (literal "witch are singing / aren’t singing”), which allow to represente more accurately the nature of these consonants and articulatory bases of Turkish language as a whole.

THE USE OF THE NUMBER FORMS OF NOUNS IN ENGLISH AND ROMANIAN

The paper presents the use of the number forms of nouns in English and Romanian. In English, there are regular and irregular nouns. The plural of some abstract and material nouns may be used to express intensity, great quantity and extent. The stem of an English noun can be used attributively, or in a collective sense. In Romanian, the number opposition of nouns is marked by desinences. There are some nouns which have double forms of the same gender in the singular, and there are nouns which have two or three forms in the plural. Certain Romanian nouns have only one form, either of singular - singularia tantum, or of plural - pluralia tantum. The collective nouns are those denoting a plurality of objects regarded as a single whole.

ANALYSE DES INTERFÉRENCES LINGUISTIQUES CHEZ DES APPRENANTS GAMBIENS DE FRANÇAIS LANGUE ÉTRANGÈRE (FLE) : POUR UNE APPROCHE DE LA LINGUISTIQUE CONTRASTIVE

Les interférences constituent les premières hypothèses émises par l’apprenant dans son appropriation d`un nouveau système linguistique. Elles sont réalisées par analogie et /ou habitude prise en langue source. Elles révèlent ainsi le degré de maîtrise de la compétence en langue cible. A cet effet, notre contribution examine les interférences produites par des apprenants gambiens du français langue étrangère en analysant leurs productions écrites pour assurer une meilleure pédagogie de l`erreur, armer l`enseignant de stratégies d`intervention de prévention et d`anticipation des coquilles. Les questions posées par notre travail sont les suivantes : quelles sont les types d’erreurs commises par nos apprenants ? L’analyse des erreurs est-elle positive ou négative pour la didactique du français langue étrangère ? Nous tenterons de répondre à ces questions en interpellant les concepts de : Linguistique contrastive, erreurs, fautes, interférence, interlangue, norme, insécurité linguistique, au cours de notre développement.

PHONO-PRAGMATIQUE ET ATTÉNUATION DANS LA COMMUNICATION ESPAGNOL/FRANÇAIS

Dans cette recherche, une seconde approche est réalisée quant à l’étude des traits phono-pragmatiques (Hidalgo, 2009) de la communication en langue française d’étudiants en langue du nord-est mexicain. Il s’agit d’examiner les stratégies d’atténuation sous l’angle de l’incidence du genre et de la culture du locuteur, qui génèrent des variations de sens au sein de ce système de langue. Nous nous intéresserons également aux implications de l’enseignement de ces influences durant l’apprentissage de la langue française.

ANALYSE CONTRASTIVE DE LA RÉDUPLICATION EN FRANÇAIS STANDARD ET EN FRANÇAIS DE CÔTE D’IVOIRE

À l’image du français standard dont il est dérivé, le français de Côte d’Ivoire exploite la réduplication, un phénomène morphologique dont l’usage dans la plupart des langues est loin d’être fortuit. Ainsi, tout comme dans la langue standard, en français de Côte d’Ivoire la réduplication contribue à la construction de sens que les formes simples des lexèmes n’ont pas. Mais, de nombreuses différences surgissent entre la langue standard et sa variété locale utilisée comme langue véhiculaire, dès lors qu’il s’agit d’analyser les différentes catégories concernées par la réduplication, les valeurs construites et les contraintes qui s’appliquent à ce phénomène. L’analyse révèle, par ailleurs, que la réduplication en français de Côte d’Ivoire est moins le fait d’une similitude avec la langue standard que d’une marque symptomatique de l’influence des langues du substrat.

LES NOMS DES ARRÊTS DE BUS À BÉJAÏA : DIMENSION CONTRASTIVE DE LA DÉNOMINATION DES LIEUX DE LA VILLE

Cette étude s’intéresse à un aspect sociolinguistique des noms attribués à des espaces de transport à Bejaia-ville (Algérie). Il s’agit d’une analyse des noms d’arrêts de bus qui se situent dans les quartiers urbains de Bejaia et des discours qui y sont produits. A travers une enquête de terrain (recueil de données observables), nous avons essayé de savoir comment sont attribués des noms à des arrêts de bus et quelles sont les langues utilisées pour la dénomination de ces espaces. Notre intérêt est porté particulièrement sur la notion de non-lieu et les procédés utilisés dans le processus de dénomination de ces espaces. Nous nous sommes également intéressé aux raisons sous-tendant le choix de telle ou telle autre langue pour la dénomination des lieux de notre enquête

DE L’ADJECTIF À L’ADJECTIVITÉ EN FRANÇAIS : REGARD CROISÉ AVEC L’ARABE

L’objectif du présent travail est de mener une étude comparée sur l’adjectif et l’adjectivité dans les langues française et arabe, d'observer les tendances générales, et de mettre en lumière d'éventuelles divergences susceptibles de caractériser du point de vue macroscopique le fonctionnement de l'adjectif en tant que catégorie et en tant que constituant de la phrase dans une perspective contrastive. La dimension comparative de notre étude proviendra de la confrontation des deux systèmes linguistiques. C'est ce double examen intralinguistique et interlinguistique qui nous permettrait effectivement de formuler quelques conjectures théoriques, d'entrevoir les différences potentielles entre les deux langues, mais surtout de mettre en évidence l'intérêt d'élargir la perspective d’analyse dans la description des langues.

ANALYSE CONTRASTIVE FLE/ TACHELHIT : LE CAS DES PREPOSITIONS DIAGNOSTIC DES DIFFICULTÉS ET REMÉDIATIONS DIDACTIQUES

Le Maroc demeure un pays de la diversité, de l’ouverture et de l’interculturel. Le champ de la production symbolique est marqué par une pluralité de codes linguistiques et culturels qui se sont succédé depuis belle lurette. Partant de la situation linguistique et culturelle qui caractérise le pays, les chercheurs explorent la dimension plurilinguistique et pluriculturelle. Dans cette hétérogénéité linguistique, les interférences restent un phénomène incontournable. L’intérêt de cet article est de mettre en relief la déviation interférentielle relative aux prépositions qui peut être considérée en milieu institutionnel comme stratégie d’apprentissage grâce à l’approche contrastive entre le français, première langue étrangère au Maroc et le tachelhit, langue maternelle des apprenants.

Kontrastive Phraseologie deutsch-tschechisch am Beispiel der Komponente ›Arsch‹

According to the research portrayed in this article and the corpus developed from it, it is possible to argue that, when compared, phrases containing the component ›arse‹ in German and Czech languages exhibit 29% of equality in form and content: total equivalence in 14% and partial equivalence in15% of the cases. In the majority of the compared examples (i.e. in 39% of the cases), there is just semantical or content equivalence. The differences between the two languages are established in cases of null equivalence (27%)and phraseological false friends (5%) and amount to 32% in total.

NE (MAI) AUZIM … : UNE FORMULE ROUMAINE PARADOXALE POUR CLÔTURER UN ÉCHANGE CONVERSATIONNEL

Dans cette étude, nous nous proposons d’examiner une formule de clôture des échanges téléphoniques (mais pas seulement) qui semble l’emporter en Roumanie sur les autres formules ayant la même fonction. Nous pensons que le recours à cette formule inédite (non enregistrée pour le moment dans le code des bonnes manières, ni dans les guides de conversation du roumain) témoigne d’une intention d’originalité, mais elle présente en même temps un certain écart par rapport aux formules consacrées, avec des effets particuliers sur la relation des interlocuteurs. L’étude se propose justement de rendre compte de cet écart, en essayant de proposer une explication de la « fortune » dont la formule jouit ces derniers temps.

LA QUESTION DU PLURIEL DES MOTS COMPOSES EN ABOURÉ ET EN ABRON : ENTRE DESCRIPTION MORPHOLOGIQUE ET ANALYSE SYNYTAXIQUE

Cet article met en exergue le contexte et les conditions dans lesquels l’abouré et l’abron, deux langues appartenant à la famille Kwa, procèdent pour la formation du pluriel de mots composés. En tant que fait de langue caractérisé par des marques reconnaissables dans les langues, le pluriel peut être entendu comme l’expression de la forme particulière d’une unité linguistique (ici complexe) indiquant un nombre supérieur à l’unité considérée.Certes, la manifestation du pluriel des mots, qu’ils soient simples ou complexes n’est pas spécifique, voire une originalité des deux langues. Des études comme celles de Anne-Marie B. (1990), Blaise Mouchi (2006), Jérémie Kouadio et Dénis Cresseils (1977) ont montré que le pluriel est une propriété universelle du langage. Dans le cadre spécifique de l’abouré et de l’abron, la marque du pluriel des mots complexes est reconnaissable par des formes phonétiquement marquées reposant sur deux procédés majeurs. Ainsi, en abouré, nous avons la consonne homorganique / N/ et le morphème /mɩ / qui permettent la formation du pluriel. Quant à l’abron, elle forme son pluriel avec les morphèmes / nɷm/ et /fὼɔ/ suffixés au mot. A ces deux formes, s’ajoute l’archiphonème /N/ qui se réalise différemment sous certaines conditions.
