Proces poszukiwania tożsamości przez społeczność żeglarzy na Pojezierzu Dobiegniewskim

The authors have attempted to identify various values of the lake districts for the development of sport, recreation and sailing tourism. The main objective of this study was to show the diversity of forms and conducting of sailing activity, influenced by social and economic changes occurring in the Dobiegniew lake district. Documents and other materials available in the archives of the communal and administrative institutions as well as sailing organizations active in these regions were analyzed. Chronological statement of facts shows the diversity and popularity of used forms of activities also in a little-known period of German affiliation of the investigated region. Results of this study should be treated as insight necessary to create further development plans of thematic activities on inland waters.

The factors which influenced the Hungarian traveller decisions and tourism organisations during the coronavirus crisis and beyond

In the 21st century, tourism and hospitality are highly profitable industries. Thousands of people enjoy visiting popular tourist resorts, and historical and natural sites or trying out the most exciting attractions, which give tourists the experience of a lifetime. In the aftermath of the 2019 coronavirus crisis, the way tourism organisations operate has changed dramatically. The coronavirus outbreak caused huge liquidity problems for companies, which also affected the tourism sector. We examine the impact of the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis on tourism organisations operating through primary research. The literature review is based on a synthesis of domestic and international research findings. For the primary research, an online questionnaire survey was conducted among the 312 selected respondents - active tourists - in the all regions of Hungary in 2022. We analysed the decisions of Hungarians who travelled domestically and abroad and whether such factors as media coverage of coronavirus crisis and financial situation fears influence them. The research is based on the testing of three hypotheses. Through correlation analysis and chi-square quantification, the research results showed that media coverage of the coronavirus crisis, fear of illness, and financial factors influenced respondents’ travel behaviour and thus the performance and operations of tourism organisations in Hungary.

Effects of social media on restaurant visit intention and willingness to pay more: generation Z

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of social media reviews on restaurant visit intention and willingness to pay more. Research data were obtained from Turkey between January-March 2023 by using a questionnaire. The data obtained from 404 questionnaires were analysed by using PLS-SEM. The findings revealed the positive effect of the attitude toward social media reviews on restaurant visit intention and on the willingness to pay more. In addition, it has been observed that there is a positive relationship between perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, trust, information quality, and attitude.

The article examines the essence of investment activity and its impact on the development of the city. The relevance of increasing the inflow of investments by creating favorable conditions for the development of green tourism is emphasized. This study used the findings of foreign and domestic scientists and global practices of green tourism functioning as an integral part of the city’s attractiveness among investors. It has been established that rural green tourism is currently one of the promising areas of development of the tourism industry of foreign countries, the rapid development of which in the last year is due to quarantine restrictions. It combines a wide range of different types of tourism based on the use of natural resources. It was found that the accelerated development of green tourism can play the role of a catalyst for investments in the region and the country as a whole. The subject of the study is a set of theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of increasing the effectiveness of the development of green tourism in the business environment. The purpose of this work is to substantiate theoretical and methodological approaches and develop practical recommendations for the development of green tourism in Ukraine, increase investment income, and analyze internationally recognized tools for stimulating the development of green tourism in the world. The proposed incentive tools will contribute to ensuring the appropriate level of investment in the regions of Ukraine and the gradual greening of technological processes in accordance with international environmental requirements, which will lead to an automatic increase in the activity and efficiency of environmentally oriented innovative activities of the country’s enterprises. The state of green tourism in Ukraine and European countries is analyzed. The work highlights the negative and positive sides of modern green tourism in Ukraine and describes the main recommendations for the development of this area and increasing its level of attractiveness for foreign and domestic investors (on the example of the Poltava region). The obtained result will allow more systematic and qualitative implementation of «greening» in the cities of Ukraine.

Vandeningoji Lietuva Vytauto Didžiojo universiteto profesoriaus hidrologo Stepono Kolupailos akimis

University, hydrologist, social activist, chairman of the Lithuanian Photographic Amateurs’ Union, and the patron of the Scouts. At the same time, he was a passionate nature lover, initiator and organiser of water-based tours around Lithuania. The aim of the article is to describe Prof. Kolupaila’s contribution to the history of photography and popularisation of water tourism in Lithuania, on the basis of both visual and written sources. The article is mainly based on the photo album compiled by the hydrologist and stored in the Vytautas Magnus War Museum, containing 1318 images taken between 1934 and 1935. These graphic sources emphasise Kolupaila’s actions in researching Lithuanian water bodies, mentoring young scouts, and encouraging them to learn about their homeland. Kolupaila’s photographic legacy depicts virtually the whole country of Lithuania in the mid-1940s, including cities, towns, and villages, as well as rivers, lakes and other bodies of water, bridges, water measurement stations, and other objects. Some of the locations photographed have since been considerably altered or destroyed; consequently, capturing them at the time is vital and relevant today. Kolupaila’s album of photographs is considered micro-history, since these visual sources illustrate the hydrologist’s actions in a short period of time, revealing the wider settings of ordinary life and cultural history at the time.

ІНФОРМАЦІЙНІ РЕСУРСИ ПОПУЛЯРИЗАЦІЇ ДІЯЛЬНОСТІ ТУРИСТИЧНОГО АГЕНТСТВА В КОНКУРЕНТНИХ УМОВАХ

The purpose of the research is to study the potential of the website as an information resource for popularizing the activities of the travel agency in competitive conditions. To realize this goal, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: establish the role of information and communication technologies in the company's promotion strategy in the tourist services market; to study the peculiarities of the use of information technology in the context of the activity of a travel agency; determine the functional features of the travel agency's website; determine the requirements for specialized sites in the field of tourism business. The research methodology consists in the use of general scientific methods. The application of methods of analysis, synthesis, logical generalizations made it possible to establish the role of information and communication technologies in the company's promotion strategy on the market of tourist services; to study the peculiarities of the use of information technology in the context of the activity of a travel agency; determine the functional features and requirements for the travel agency's website. The method of visualization in tabular and graphic form is used to present the resources of information and communication technologies in the promotion of the company in the market of tourist services. The scientific novelty of the work consists in clarifying the trends of deep interpenetration of information, communication, and marketing technologies in the activities of the company in the market of tourist services. Conclusions. The advantages of promoting the activity of a tourist enterprise using modern information, communication, and marketing technologies include: the possibility of communication with the target audience in real time; increasing resources for reaching the client base; improving the image of the tourist enterprise; the emergence of channels not only for the dissemination of information about services, goods or the company itself, but also for the sale of tourist products; improving the efficiency of communication with clients and reducing the costs of attracting new clients; simplifying the processes of registration of orders; application of remote technologies for consulting and customer service.

The author focused on searching for and excerpting Russian lexemes from fortification terminology and some historisms related to castle-chateau discourse in the texts prepared for tourism. Mostly, the texts translated from Czech to Russian were used. The lexemes obtained were subsequently analysed from the lexical, semantic, syntactic and other points of view. Special attention is paid to an appropriate or inappropriate use of the equivalents, their use in Russian and connotation differences.

Regarding to the requirement of sustainable development, as a new frame of the strategy of civilization development, various frugal forms of tourism appear there. These forms are supported at the national and international level as well as at the organizational and institutional level. Tourism sustainability is supported by means of environmental education including implementing several programmes to raise the environmental awareness of owners and managers of tourist and leisure-time enterprises on the necessity and possibilities of running a responsible business. This paper focuses on sustainable tourism. From a theoretical point of view this paper describes tourism, its frugal forms and characterizes subjects acting in that field. By means of comparative analysis based on selected criteria this paper aims at the comparison of chosen ecolabels – EU Ecolabel, Green Key and ECET QUALITY LABEL.

Agrotourism, an innovative type of rural tourism, is growing quickly across the world. Agrotourism is seen as a vital factor in increasing farmer prosperity, boosting economic growth, and improving the general quality of life in remote areas by visitors’ incoming. Promoting this type of tourism in Western European nations has been a main goal as attaining long-term growth and started developing during the 1960s. Azerbaijan's principal priority is the sustainable development of diverse economic sectors, and increasing agrotourism stands out as a vital goal within this context. This article investigates Italian viewpoints regarding agrotourism and strategies to implement and promote its growth, as well as, submit proposals for the expansion of agrotourism and policy implementation in Azerbaijan. The study encompassed in-depth information on the Azerbaijani tourism industry, including programs implemented through cooperation between governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote advancement of agrotourism. The exploration bases its findings on recent investigations, information from statistics, and research papers.

Rovní a rovnější. Malá skica z dějin zahraničního cestování, rekreací, a trávení volného času vrcholné komunistické nomenklatury post-stalinské éry (1954–1968)

This short historical essay intends to show approaches, mechanisms and structures of travelling abroad, recreation and leisure time of Communist elites in Czechoslovakia between February 1948 and August 1968. The time span between summer 1954 and 1968 is defined by key party negotiations pertaining to this topic that also frame a specific “Czech way” of destalinisation, rise to power, dominance, and subsequent fall of Antonín Novotný, the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party (ÚV KSČ) and later the Czechoslovak President. It is a typological outline of who, when, how and why decided about “travelling and recreation” time of nomenklatura members. This outline is supplemented with selected cases demonstrating actual approaches to Party travelling policy. The paper is based on up-to-date historical research (especially by Alžběta Čornejová, Jan Rychlík, and Karel Kaplan) and on archival findings in the archives of the ÚV KSČ (first of all in those of Economic Council, Political Bureau, and Presidium).

The purpose of the article is to identify the directions and dynamics of changes in the socio-economic development of towns in the Opole Voivodeship. The scope of the study includes towns of different size and stature in the settlement network, additionally taking into account territorial units of regional, district and local importance. The temporal scope focuses on three moments in time which allowed the dynamic capture of the development processes of the surveyed units and included the years: 2003, 2010, and 2021. The research highlights that the trends in towns of regional significance were unfavourable and resulted in a decrease in the rank of these units in the settlement structure of the province. At the same time, the opposite trend was observed among the towns of local and district importance, most of which improved their level of socio-economic development.

Wpływ pandemii COVID-19 na zmiany podejścia do zarządzania miastami historycznymi na przykładzie Florencji

Visiting historic cities has gained in popularity in recent years due to an increasing proclivity for urban travel (so-called city breaks) and the interest in exploring the charms of historic districts. The rise in the number of tourists in historic city spaces has resulted in both positive developments for cities and their inhabitants (economic growth, accelerated regeneration processes) and negative consequences (deterioration of quality of life, overtourism). The crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to severe travel restrictions, has led to a discussion about the future of historic districts and the changes that should be made to reduce the negative effects of tourism on local communities. The city of Florence and its UNESCO World Heritage area were analysed using existing data, academic literature and information from in-depth interviews conducted by the author in 2022. In Florence during the pandemic, there was an intensive debate about the possible directions for addressing the challenges of the post-pandemic reality. This discussion resulted, among other, in a joint effort of the city authorities and its inhabitants to develop a new management plan for the UNESCO area. The challenges faced by the historic district, accentuated by the pandemic, have become a driving force to initiate a process of change. Some proposed solutions are already present in local urban documents and are gradually being implemented. However, the effectiveness of the instruments introduced by local authorities to manage the district of the city centre remains a topic of discussion, as does the actual impact on the functioning of the historic city centre under post-pandemic conditions.
