The revival of values and meanings of the teacher education: Reflexive-creative approach

The purpose of the article is to determine the values and meanings of a modern teacher in the national and foreign professional education. The results of the research work: the article provides the theoretical analysis and the analysis of the research results which allowed: to clarify the contents of the concept 'creativity', to define it as a significant side of every future teacher's activity; to consider pedagogical values as norms; to determine the basis of creative interaction between a teacher and a future teacher; to determine the strategy of acquisition of both pedagogical values and meanings and methods of construction of knowledge bases on pedagogical disciplines; to identify the possibility of objective evaluation of the results of pedagogical education; to reveal that a lecture is the main organisational form of pedagogical education both in Russian and foreign experience. Conclusions and recommendations: the socio-pedagogical, group and personal pedagogical values of any future teacher are determined.

ETNOPEDAGOJİK AÇIDAN BECERİ EĞİTİMİ: ŞAVŞAT ÖRNEĞİ

The aim of this study is to draw a general framework about how skill training is provided in Şavşat from an ethno pedagogical perspective. The study was modeled as a qualitative research and; embedded theory approach, one of the qualitative research designs, was used as the research design. Interview method was used to collect data and data were collected by interviewing the resource people living in the region. As a result of the coding and analysis of the data, a theoretical model consisting of seven stages, showing gradualism and diagrammed has emerged. According to this emerging model, the stages of skill training in Şavşat from an ethno pedagogical perspective emerged as suitability for the job, determination of readiness, familiarization with the environment and the job- safety, motivation- promoting- encouragement, demonstration- performance method, first experience- imitation, self-doing- punishment for repeated mistakes and appreciating success. In this model, the concepts of caring approach, constant feedback and patience during the training brought to the fore. This model is similar to the psychomotor domain classification developed by Simpson in general terms and shows gradualism.

Osvrt na emocionalni aspekt slušanja glazbe

Despite the exceptional interest in studying emotions in music, only a few music pedagogues have warned of the importance of this phenomenon in teaching music. The paper analyzes the results of empirical research to determine the experienced emotions on listening to the following musical examples: C. Saint-Saëns: Carnival of Animals, Finale; I. Stravinsky: The Rite of Spring, Introduction; J. Williams: Schindler’s List; F. Livadić: Nocturne in F-sharp minor; I. Malec: Lumina; and I. Krajač, K. Metikoš and M. Prohaska: Gubec-Beg, Jana’s Madness. The results of the research actualize the importance of students’ emotional response to a musical work and contribute to the efforts of individual music pedagogues to emphasize the need for a comprehensive reception of a musical work that will include emotional dimension in addition to knowledge and understanding.

Our mission, as teachers, is to identify creativity and promote the development of students’ skills to interact with the environment.The presence of educational means within the forms of organizing the didactic activity is justified when: it contributes to the improvement of the communication process, presenting information about the most different objects, phenomena, events; supports the process of forming notions, capacities for analysis, synthesis, generalization; provides support for performing exercises and solving problems; presents problem-situations whose solutions are to be analyzed in the lesson. The efficiency of teaching aids depends not only on their quality but first of all, on how they are integrated into the didactic activity. Regardless of their category, they can contribute to raising the efficiency and quality of learning only when they are selected, used rationally, and are subordinated to the achievement of teaching objectives. The guidance of students during the use of educational means in economics must be done in such a way that, regardless of the means of integrated education. Students are permanently activated throughout the lesson and the guidance of their intellectual effort is done so that to find solutions to different problems themselves. It is also necessary to help students who encounter difficulties in building assemblies and in establishing conclusions from the work performed. Students should be guided in such a way that the use of educational means taking into account the particularities and own work rhythm of each student, and finally ensuring the acquisition of theoretical and practical knowledge. No matter the form of integration of the educational means, when teaching economy, their use must be understood as a necessity, because the learning process is favored or hindered by the possibilities of access to the object of learning, i.e. to the didactic means.

Modern basketball is characterized by a high intensity activity throughout the game, which requires optimal physical condition for the players. The increasing demands of modern basketball and inadequate physical preparation also result in an increased number of sports-related injuries. Physical preparation in the form of strength and power training is part of the strategy in preventing and reducing such injuries, but also in improving the performance of basketball players in the game. Strength and power have a direct impact on improving the performance of basketball players, but also influence on improving other motor skills and characteristics of basketball players. As the benefits of the strength and power training are known and recognised, this review paper aims to point out some specifics of the training process in the development of strength and power of basketball players. The paper points to the importance of being systematic and progressive in the long-term development of power , but also within the annual cycle of training. In addition, the paper provides some specific guidelines for conducting strength and power training within the various stages of the preparation and competition periods, with an emphasis on the functionality and specificity of the training.

We believe that the preschool period is key to encouraging the development of all existing potentials in children, and proper detection and multiple stimulation can develop more intensively and express the child’s talent best in the preschool development period. The crucial role in this is played by the family, but also by the educational institutions in which children spend a large part of their time. Therefore, the role of the pedagogue as a professional associate in the educational institution for the proper detection of gifted children, and the design, guidance and interpretation of ways and effects of working with them is very important. The topic of this professional paper is the recognition of giftedness in kindergarten, a look at pedagogical practice and ways of working with potentially gifted children in some preschool institutions in the Sarajevo Canton. The paper briefly presents the theoretical framework, necessary for understanding the topic and the concept of giftedness, as well as other related concepts and definitions. In order to determine how to identify gifted children in one of the kindergartens in the Sarajevo Canton, a potentially gifted four-year-old V.Z. was identified and monitored. from Sarajevo through a case study.

Ideas about work-based learning and learning through practical experience have been represented in pedagogical theory and practice for a long time. Their importance is actualised in conditions of wider practical application of competency-based education. Practical teaching and professional practice should constitute an integral part of higher education programmes aimed at developing professional competencies. Practical teaching usually occurs as a part of different subject programmes, whereas professional practice occurs as a separate component of study programmes. The extent to which practical teaching and professional practice will be represented in the overall programme as well as the organisational form in which they will occur depend on professional (vocational) profiles implemented in education. Practical teaching and professional practice are highly important in implementing vocational (professional) profiles in the field of education, such as the professional profile of a pedagogue. This paper provides basic explanations of concepts of work-based learning and learning through practical experience that can be viewed as having theoretical origins in noticing the importance of practical teaching and professional practice as integral parts of educational programmes. In addition, the issue has been examined relating to the roles of practical teaching and professional practice in achieving the basic objectives and outcomes of higher education aimed at developing professional competencies. A separate section of the text provides an overview of the position and share of professional practice in the pedagogy study programme implemented at the Department of Pedagogy and Andragogy of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Belgrade. As part of this overview, a summary has been given of experience in delivery of compulsory professional practice in school for students of Year Four of bachelor academic studies of pedagogy in the 2019–2020 academic year under the emergency school work conditions caused by the pandemic.

Students’ School Satisfaction: The Role of Classroom Climate, Self-efficacy, and Engagement

Students’ satisfaction with school is subjective, cognitive appraisal of overall positivity of school experiences, and precisely because it represents the key aspect of children’s overall perception of quality of life, it is important to find out what influences students’ school satisfaction and to which extent. The goal of this research was to establish whether self-efficacy and engagement function as mediating variables in the relationship between classroom climate and students’ school satisfaction. The research included 597 students from primary schools in Zagreb, Croatia. A structural equation model was designed and tested. The model testing showed that positive classroom climate has statistically significant and positive effects on self-efficacy and engagement. Furthermore, self-efficacy has a significant positive impact on explaining engagement. At the same time, negative classroom climate has a significant positive influence on engagement, which in turn contributes to the final effect on school satisfaction. The model has explained 56% of the school satisfaction variance in total.

Research Trends in Media Pedagogy: Between the Paradigm of Risk and the Paradigm of Opportunity

The use of computers, internet, and smartphones in the learning and teaching process has become an irreversible fact. Information and communication technologies (ICT) are now one of the fundamental teaching resources and even one of the principal teaching environments. The widespread use of ICT stands in positive correlation to the growing number of studies on educational aspects of the use of new media in schooling. The dynamically growing number of publications in this field requires reflection on the directions of research in the intensely developing sub-discipline of education science, i.e. media pedagogy. The aim of the article is to explore the two dominant directions of research on didactic and upbringing aspects of ICT use in education. The text presents the assumptions and processes assigned to both the opportunity paradigm and the risk paradigm of media pedagogy. These paradigms clash, giving rise to research directed at positive or negative phenomena related to the digitalization of schooling and educational processes. The text is an attempt to draw attention not only to the development of media pedagogy, but also to methodological errors resulting from anchoring research to only one trend.

Measuring Student Involvement When Taking Tests in E-learning Courses

The ongoing SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has significantly affected the education process of young people in primary, secondary, and tertiary education, as well as those who improve their competences through various courses and trainings. The practically incessant lockdown in education has resulted in a situation in which distance learning, which most often plays a supplementary role, now constitutes the basic form of education. This situation has forced the selection and adaptation of the available e-learning tools to the types of classes and levels of education. Despite great progress in the development of e-learning technologies, constant stimulation and maintenance of students’ interest in the content presented and monitoring their activity still pose a problem, which also concerns the education of computer science students in issues related to computer graphics. Currently, the preferred model of distance learning is based on various technologies and IT tools that enable the implementation of synchronous and asynchronous work. Prompt acquisition of data on students’ activity allows trainers to adjust the form and content of the presented material to their expectations. It also makes it possible to identify issues that pose great difficulties to students. This paper discusses modern solutions and trends in designing e-learning courses based on the new interactive e-learning platform Quizer. The aim of the research is to determine the course effectiveness using the user activity-monitoring module designed and implemented for the Quizer e-learning platform. The correctness of the answers correlates with the number of attempts to answer it (−0.65). The time devoted to a given question was usually high for questions with low correctness of answers.

MODELUL DEZVOLTĂRII PERSONALE. CULTURA EMOŢIILOR ŞI A AFECTIVITĂŢII ÎN PROGRAMELE ŞCOLARE

The model of personal development is dominant in contemporary didactics of literature in Europe (see Alina PAMFIL, Didactica literaturii. Reorientări, 2016). In this study, our goal is to bring arguments in order to prove that the curricula for Romanian Language and Literature from primary school (2014) up to the secondary school (2017) were built on the same model. The school curricula all follow an important and constant dimension of that model: the culture of emotions, at the same time with the development of rational/ logical intelligence. These are the fundamental values of present-day curricula, in our opinion.Our paper aims to investigate if and how a space for reflection and action is opening in schools, from objectives, values and goals up to behaviours/attitudes and thoughts/reflections.We will especially show how this space is working in relation to the contemporary world and human condition. Our results will be some variants of didactic scenarios and other strategies for life long learning but also for the initial training or future teachers for primary and secondary schools, and, respectively for the continuous development of teachers in different stages of their professional evolution.

Zeneelmélet kisiskolásoknak. Új utak az erdélyi művészeti szakoktatásban

In the 21st century we live the age of educational reform. In the past year [2020] we witnessed a rapid transformation in this area. The question arises as to whether one of the special forms of artistic education in Transylvania (Romania) follows this trend. The present paper examines artistic education, namely the teaching of music theory in terms of its development in the elementary cycle. Based on the curricula, programs, textbooks and different illustrative tools, complex skills development begins in the primary classes in the field of rhythm, melody, harmony, timbre, volume. Although there is a preliminary grade, the so-called 0 (zero) class, in Romanian vocational education, the Music Theory-Solfeggio discipline appears only in the first grade. As a first step, this subject could be introduced into the preparatory class in a playful way, preparing skill development. Innovation is also needed in the curriculum itself, as a traditional content-based curriculum for the elementary cycle was last published in the year 1981. By reorganizing the learning contents and topics, a new, competence-based curriculum should be developed, as a continuation of the curriculum which was published in 2017 for the gymnasiums. In order for the curriculum to be applied effectively, quality textbooks are in need. For the elementary classes (ages 7–10) there is only one option available in Romania approved by the Ministry of Education, a Romanian textbook which is difficult to apply in a Hungarian school. The Author’s Tanuljunk zenét! series of workbooks, who’s musical material is based on the Kodály concept, is a viable alternative. The efficiency of the use of textbooks can be enhanced by new tools, illustrative materials, methods and online teaching interfaces that can be used in the lesson. The Hungarian-language music education in Transylvania is ready for change. Reorganizing the curriculum, new textbooks, alternative lesson tools and online educational interfaces point to the paths to be followed in making music theory and solfeggio teaching more effective.

Koncertpedagógia – a zenei élmény megteremtésének lehetősége

In recent decades, artistic events within and outside traditional curricular education have played an increasing role in educating children, shaping their taste, and developing a favourable attitude towards culture. Extracurricular education is a multifaceted concept, with diverging interpretations of different sources in the literature. The task of concert pedagogy is to complement public education and curricula with live music events. In Hungary, the content of concert pedagogy is not prescribed by the National Core Curriculum, nor is there a detailed methodology to it. The aim of concert pedagogy is for children to develop a sense of art by experiencing it. The competencies to be developed, as specified in the curriculum, are not directly related to the concert visit, but the complexity of the concert experience may contribute to their improvement. With support from the Research Institute of Art Theory and Methodology of the Hungarian Academy of Arts, the Music Pedagogy Research Group of the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Debrecen launched a research project in November 2018 to examine primary school pupils’ curricular and extracurricular compulsory artistic activities and attendance at artistic events in the three counties of the Northern Great Plain region across five dimensions. As to the frequency of concert attendance, the findings reveal that less than half (42%) of the children in the sample have been to a concert. An analysis of the DEXARTA database shows that concert visits are significantly influenced by the type of the settlement, the location of the county, as well as the provider and type of school. As regards the people who take children to concerts, the findings indicate that the school and teachers have a decisive role in cultural education, as 70% of the pupils have gone, together with their classmates, to a concert organised by the school. The successful artistic sensitisation of children is significantly affected by the circumstances and quality of the performance as well as by the fact whether the performed pieces are chosen in consideration of the listeners’ age. It involves prior experience and pedagogical impact to influence how children perceive the artistic experience and to enhance the extent to which they are able to absorb what they observe.

Kompetencia verzus kompetentnosť

In the article we deal with the issue of competencies, respectively the incorrect use of this very frequent term. In the last decade, the term competence has pushed out of the pedagogical dictionary all the nice and concise Slovak professional terms such as ability, skill or competence. As a result of this invasive process, chaos arose in the conceptual apparatus of educators and the term competence began to be used meaninglessly. Our effort is to point out the shortcomings and how to eliminate them, so that nice Slovak pedagogical concepts related to abilities, skills, suitabilities are meaningfully used again.
