FACTORS OF ADOLESCENT AGGRESSION TOWARDS TEACHERS

This review analyzes studies on the problem of aggression towards teachers. The reasons for students' aggressive behavior towards their teachers have been identified by analyzing psychological theories. The article also provides recommendations for reducing and preventing student aggression towards teachers. In the sequence of research presented, it has been shown that the prevalence rates of teacher bullying around the world highlight the magnitude of the problem and raise concerns that this area has long-term detrimental consequences on the lives of students, teachers, and educational institutions as a whole. It has been established that the use of psychological theories, models, and concepts in explaining the reasons for the manifestation of aggression in the relationship with the teacher on the part of students not only makes it possible to determine the reasons for such behavior but also helps to take this problem into account at different levels of the educational process. The influence of school climate on teacher victimization was also examined and recommendations for the implementation of preventive measures were made. Based on the analysis, directions for further study of this problem were presented. In particular, it is necessary to study the prevalence of forms of aggressive behavior toward teachers and to develop a set of preventive measures aimed at combating aggression toward teachers.

NEUROSCIENCE BASED TEACHING METHODOLOGIES FOR MILITARY ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNERS

ETHICAL DIMENSIONS OF THE HUMAN BEING AT DUMITRU STĂNILOAE - PLEADING FOR STUDYING DUMITRU STĂNILOAE’S WORKS FROM PHILOSOPHICAL PERSPECTIVE IN THE THEOLOGICAL HIGHER EDUCATION CURRICULA

During our research on the philosophical consolidation of the theological system elaborated by Dumitru Stăniloae we have ascertained the presence of all necessary elements for asserting that Stăniloae rather elaborated a system of reflexive religious philosophy instead of simply reiterating already formulated theology. To the extent we are aware of it, Stăniloae is the only case of Orthodox religious philosopher who developed a complete theological system and, after researching his dialogue with the works most important philosophers up to the XX Century, we think that we can argue with the necessary degree of certitude that he is among the greatest religious philosophers ever existed. The purpose of this paper is to present a brief contouring of Stăniloae’s ethics on the human being seen as an active factor engaged in the transformation for better of the world. The research methods we have adopted is that of the qualitative research applied from the world view of the postpositivism. We think that we have succeed to argue that Stăniloae treated the so complex matter of the human being from an optimistic perspective, valuing the present existence, and integrating the human being and the world in a progressist project of mutual improvement, on the ground of an ethical approach.

CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING SOME INFLUENCES OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE FIELD OF EDUCATION IN THE ROMANIAN SOCIETY

ALL HUMANITY HAS HAD TO ADAPT TO THE NEW REALITY IMPOSED BY THE CREATED STATE OF AFFAIRS. GIVEN THE IMPORTANCE OF EDUCATION AT THE SOCIETAL LEVEL, INCLUDING THE SECURITY PERSPECTIVE, THE COMPETENT NATIONAL AUTHORITIES, BUT ALSO THE ACTORS INVOLVED IN THE EDUCATION PROCESS, HAD TO ADOPT MEASURES TO ADAPT THE SUBSEQUENT ACTIVITIES OF THE EDUCATION PROCESS TO THE REALITIES OF THE NEW PANDEMIC. FOR THE MOST PART, AT LEAST UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF THE SCHOOL / UNIVERSITY YEAR 2021-2022, EDUCATION HAS BEEN TRANSLATED INTO VIRTUAL SPACE, AT ALMOST ALL LEVELS OF REPORTING. THE CONSEQUENCES OF THE NEW EXISTENTIAL REALITY WERE NOT THE MOST FAVORABLE, DUE TO AN ACCUMULATION OF FACTORS OF VARIOUS NATURE. THE OPINIONS OF SPECIALISTS IN EDUCATION SCIENCES, AS WELL AS OF MOST OPINION FORMERS OR THOSE DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN THE EDUCATIONAL ACT (TEACHERS / PUPILS / STUDENTS), HIGHLIGHT MAJOR SHORTCOMINGS IN TERMS OF ITS PURPOSE. THE DECLINE IN THE LEVEL OF EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE CAN ONLY BE WORRYING, THE EFFECTS HAVING AN IMPACT INCLUDING THE SECURITY OF THE COUNTRY, AS LONG AS EDUCATION IS A NATIONAL PRIORITY AND IS PERCEIVED AS A DIMENSION OF NATIONAL SECURITY.

Application of AI Technologies in STEAM School Education

Artificial intelligence is increasingly entering all spheres of our lives, including the sphere of education. These technologies offer numerous advantages and opportunities to perform various activities and tasks throughout the educational process. This article discusses some aspects of the application of AI technologies to improve personalization, accessibility, and interactivity in school education, and especially in learning STEAM subjects. The authors aim to propose approaches to successfully integrate AI into the work of teachers and facilitators during the preplanning phase of lessons, the preparation of personalized tasks for students, the process of testing and assessing knowledge, as well as in group and project-based learning. The article shares the experience of teaching a compulsory computer science course as well as working in an interest club related to artificial intelligence and robotics with 6th grade students in secondary school, highlighting the potential of certain chatbots to support and enrich the process of programming.

Didactic strategies drawn from the musical education textbooks of Romanian minority schools in the Serbian Banat

The Serbian Banat (actually that part of the historical Banat - approx. 1/3 of the total - which after the events of 1918 remained in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, later to today's Serbia) includes even at the present time a significant Romanian community, settled along the border with Romania, some villages being over 80% Romanian from an ethnic composition point of view. In such a context, the present study aims to bring into attention the way in which, in accordance with the requirements of Serbian education laws and concepts, the music education classes in the schools of the Romanian minority of this region proceed, presented in a comparative manner with the way in which the education system from Romania sees the music education lessons.

The article proposes a model of in-depth training on modern concepts and practices of artificial intelligence (AI). The model is balanced, with an emphasis on active learning with a synergistic and holistic creative approach, where over 80% of the time the student is involved in an active (individual or collective) activity: researching materials, drawing up models, discussions and debates, SWOT analyses, as well as project-based tasks of greater or lesser volume, problem cases. The topics are considered not only in their strictly technical context, but also holistically synergistically: ethics in the issue of artificial intelligence, strategies for regulations, future perspectives and benefits, personal interests. The curriculum aims to provide high school students with a comprehensive understanding of artificial intelligence, covering fundamental concepts, practical applications, advanced technologies, ethical considerations and future trends in the field, as through a combination of theoretical learning, practical projects, creative activity and discussions, will develop critical thinking skills and will prepare for -further study or career in AI related fields.

Intensive Wellness Program – A Method for Optimizing Motor Condition

The present material derives theoretical foundations with an emphasis on the development of the motor state, based on the application of an intensive wellness program. The scientific state of teaching methodology in physical education and sports in the first high school stage of the educational degree is monitored. An intensive program for the development of general motor conditions according to the Tabata interval method has been approved in the first high school stage to achieve a high educational standard and increase the efficiency in motor-oriented training. Statistical verification of the effectiveness of a tested intensive wellness program with the organization of an experimental, ascertaining, training, and control stage is presented. Scientifically based conclusions and generalizations are drawn. The purpose of the research is to create an intensive wellness program for the development and improvement of general motor condition, based on the Tabata method in the first high school stage, by implementing and proving its practical effectiveness through testing in the PES1 training consisting of an author’s complex of motor exercises, for wellness-interval training according to the Tabata method. The subject of analysis is the indicators allowing harmonization and individualization of the differences in the students’ motor potential between the two target groups – experimental and control, as well as establishing the effectiveness of the practical application of the implemented intensive wellness program. Scientifically based conclusions will allow establishing changes in the number of students who have covered a high educational standard, as well as improving the effectiveness of motor-oriented learning. The object of the present experimental research is the learning process in the discipline of physical education and sports in the first high school stage of the educational degree. The research scope of the present study is 50 students from two classes of the eighth grade, divided into 25 students each in two target groups – experimental and control. All examined individuals are in good physical and mental condition. To derive a relationship between tracked motor indicators, an analysis of dynamics was applied through mathematical statistical processing to establish variation and correlation coefficients. The application of the innovative technology took place within the academic year 2022/23.

FROM ILLITERACY TO THE UNIVERSITY: THE INSTITUTIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALBANIAN EDUCATION IN KOSOVO 1945-1990

The education in the Albanian language in Kosovo was early, and it was developed depending on the political circumstances. For five centuries Albanians lived under the rule of the Ottoman Empire. Since the Empire was organized in theocratic bases the education system was implemented in Ottoman, Greek and Latin language, consequently in meyteps,* mosques, and churches. First schools in Albanian language were opened sometimes at the end of the nineteenth century. The Balkan Wars (1912-1913) created new circumstances in Balkans. A territory that comprises todays Kosovo felt under the Serbian occupation/rule. Since then and until the begging of the World War II the education in Albanian language was prohibited. Only religious Islamic schools were provided to Albanians, who consisted the majority of the population. During the World War II, for the sake of maintaining peace in these regions the fascism allowed education in the Albanian language, a process that lasted about three years. A number of Albanian teachers were brought from Albania to Kosovo in addition to educational texts. Despite this, the educational level of the Albanian population in Kosovo was low and equivalent to illiteracy. Organised and institutional education in the Albanian language in Kosovo began only in 1945. The period 1945-1966 marks initial steps to build an educational legal structure and efforts to organize education besides lack of staff and school buildings. The internal politic developments in Yugoslavia and emergence of Albanian factor in political balance provided a new era for Kosovo Albanians. Kosovo gained a large scale of autonomy and Albanian leadership used this opportunity to strengthen and advance the education in Albanian language in Kosovo. A t the same time Kosovo went under an economic development and consequently the need for new trained staff required an educational system that comprised all levels of education, which was built gradually. This was known as a period of consolidation of the educational system and lasted from 1966 to 1980. The death of Tito and Demonstrations (1981) of Kosovo Albanians to upgrade the political status of Kosovo were follow ed by aggressive policy of the Yugoslavian Communistic League towards Albanians. Indeed political leaders and academic elites in Serbia stood behind that attitude. Their aim was to ruin the autonomy and to attack the intellectual elite in Kosovo who was seen as nationalistic driven one. A harsh campaign was launched against the education in Kosovo, with a focus on the destruction of the independence of the education system in Kosovo. This period covers years 1981-1990 and was known as “Pressure on the Albanian School”. The methodology used in this paper is a thematic-comparative approach supported by statistical methods and in accordance with chronology. As a conclusion, it appears that the will of the Albanian population for development and emancipation was reflected in overcoming all difficulties, whether political, administrative, logistical, etc., and illiteracy, to reach the establishment of the highest scientific and cultural institutions. On the other hand, the raising of the educational level influenced the articulation of Kosovo Albanians claims for political equality and national rights.

Application and Assessment of Digital Resources in the Education of Future Pedagogues

The continuous advance of technologies and their implementation across all stages of education leads to the development and creation of a variety of digital resources that can be a useful part of contemporary education aiming to develop the digital competencies of the students – future pedagogues. As part of the lectures and workshops on “Kindergarden music theory and methodology”, “Musical education in preschool” and “Musical diagnostics in preschool and primary school grades” students (prospective teachers) who were enrolled in education program of University of Ruse were introduced to a variety of digital resources aiding their practical training. During this time, the students acquired additional knowledge on how to apply them in their future teaching practice. The current study shows a poll of students’ opinion on the usefulness of the test “Profile of Music Perception Skills”, the model “Geneva musical emotional scale”, interactive study materials on “General music training”, video lessons on “Musical theory and methodology” and interactive slide on other sources used in their education. A dedicated questionnaire has been used for data collection of this study.

Pre-Service Teachers’ Perceptions of AI and Its Implementation in the Foreign (English) Language Classroom

The potential for using artificial intelligence (AI) systems in education (including foreign language teaching and learning) poses new demands on 21st century pre-service teachers who need to be prepared to integrate it successfully in their classrooms. The current paper, therefore, aimed to examine the attitude and readiness of 52 Bulgarian pre-service foreign language teachers on using AI in English language instruction. Based on the data obtained, it was established that the pre-service teachers demonstrated a general positive disposition towards using AI tools in their foreign language lessons and declared their readiness to implement AI technologies in the foreign language classroom but lacked the skills and competencies needed to do so. The results also showed that teacher training institutions and policy makers on national level have to define the AI knowledge, competencies and skills of prospective teachers so that they could actively engage with AI ethically and meaningfully in their profession.

Possibilities for the Application of Artificial Intelligence Systems in the Education of Students of Pedagogical Specialties

This paper is based on a study of the possibilities of using artificial intelligence systems in music education within the degree courses of “Preschool and primary education” and “Primary education and foreign languages.” It is known that in the process of music education without special musical training, future educators as well as teachers face certain challenges. The variety of artificial intelligence systems creates conditions for music education that are more accessible and applicable in different areas of music practice. The focus of this research is music learning through interaction with music generation systems, in which the learner assumes a new role: from perceiving and performing music, he/she becomes a co-author and co-creator of a musical piece with all the peculiarities and regularities of musical language. The idea of a musical product thus acquires a new meaning and the students develop not only their musical creativity but also their digital competencies.

The Concept of Education of Paweł Smolikowski CR (1849–1926)

Paweł Smolikowski CR was a priest, missionary, doctor of theology, as well as a philosopher, historian and writer. A member of the Resurrectionist congregation, he is still regarded as one of the main representatives of Resurrectionist philosophical and pedagogical thought at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. He left behind a rich legacy. His concept of education fits in with the Resurrectionist educational system that was introduced in many places in Europe. In this article, I would like to present the main elements of Paweł Smolikowski's concept of education with emphasis along with its anthropological foundations.

The Role of Teacher and Pupil in the Context of Autonomous Learning

The paper offers a brief overview of the role of teacher and pupil in the context of autonomous learning. An autonomous pupil means an active pupil. His activity consists not only in motivation to learn, but also in participating in social processes, defining one’s own goals and responsibly managing the way to achieve them. The teacher accompanies the active student through the learning process as a manager, mediator, advisor, but also as a fellow pupil. The aim of the paper is to specify the roles and characteristic features of the autonomous teacher and pupil and to point out their differences with respect to the traditional perception of the teacher and pupil in the process of upbringing and education.

The article shares a best practice of the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies, Sofia, related to the successful transfer of new fundamental knowledge from science to secondary education. It consisted of developing a new model of teaching of high school teachers, including the preparation of content and teaching aids, its practical testing through a training course and its evaluation. The article describes the design and analyzes the results of the course, emphasizing the individual and institutional impacts such as developing competencies and increasing the motivation of the learners. The newly created model is characterized as innovative, project-based and interactive, and the immediate effects of its testing and the possible long-term prospects for its future use are commented on.

The article examines the importance of parent-teacher partnerships in the educational process and presents data from a survey conducted among pedagogical specialists (N=279) regarding current practices and challenges in this area. Data collected through a semi-structured survey were analysed. The research identified some key challenges and potential aspects for improving cooperation. Although there is clear recognition in the strategic documents of the need for effective partnerships to provide appropriate guidance for their development, it is essential that systematic research is carried out in the field.

Учебните планове на специалности в СУ „ Св. Кл. Охридски“ с професионална квалификация учител в контекста на развитието на дигиталните компетентности

The aim of the study is to analyze the curricula of majors that offer teacher qualifications, from the perspective of their compliance and/or upgrading of the state requirements for teacher training in Bulgaria in the context of the problem of developing digital competence among students. This predetermines the boundaries of the research questions from the number and type of plans to their scope and content. The analysis of the content was carried out at Sofia University and its results allow us to outline some specifics arising from the type of specialties and faculties.
