АГРАРНАТА СТРУКТУРА НА ТИКВЕШКИОТ ОКРУГ (СПОРЕД ПОПИСОТ НА НАСЕЛЕНИЕТО ОД 31 МАРТ 1931 ГОДИНА)
The Tikveš district as an administrative – territorial unit in the Vardar part of Macedonia, which in the period between the two world wars was a member of the Kingdom of SCS / Yugoslavia, consisted of 5 districts: Dojranska , Gevgeliska, Kavadarečka, Negotinska and Strumička . The census of 31 March 1931, as the only source of this type, provides a thorough representation of the agrarian structure of the Tikveš district as a whole and in each district individually. The results of this census are: the number of residents (agricultural and nonagricultural population); the number of agricultural households, the structure of agricultural property, as well as their surface. Moreover, it presents the difference in terms of cattle at the agricultural property, agricultural inventory, percentage of agricultural properties which purchased wheat for food (bread), and the number of paid agricultural workers. The presented data clearly demonstrate the agrarian structure in the Tikveš District in the 1930s`.
