It is known that the professional audio amplifiers operate with dynamic input signal. Output speaker connected to the amplifier is a complex load with pronounced resonant properties. This can cause overloading of the output stage and unstable amplifier. In some cases their inductance of the speaker can suppress transient loads and even prevent breakthrough. For accurate assessment of the impact of the complex load on the amplifier performance should be considered the equivalent resonance model

Wizualizacje wybranych wskaźników bibliometrycznych na przykładzie bibliograficznej bazy danych CYTBIN

The article presents the concept of visualizations of selected bibliometric indicators based on data collected in the CYTBIN bibliographic database thatcovers articles from selected national journals of information and library science. In addition to traditional bibliometric indicators, visualizations of measures that do not depend only on the nearest neighborhood of the analyzed objects in the citation and collaboration networks, but from a broader context across the structure, are depicted (such as PageRank, HITS).The aim of this article is not to draw detailed conclusions about the development of information and library science, as such conclusions based on incomplete data could be burdened with some error. The intention of the author, however, was to present concepts of visualizations of bibliographic data in forms which make them more readable and attractive than traditional tabular forms.

The article presents the basic function of union catalogues: ensuring interoperability of library metadata. The problem of metadata interoperability was defined as an element of cooperation of information systems, especially functioning in the network. The methods used to ensure interoperability were presented. Three technologies were described that should facilitate metadata interoperability in the future: NoSQL databases, cloud applications and Linked Open Data.

Purpose of the article. The study is connected with the analysis of the content of rare books of the early twentieth century stored in the fund of the Scientific and Technical Library of the Poltava National Technical University named after Yuri Kondratyuk as one of the types of document and edition, the evolution of the concept of «rare book» in the scientific aspect, while publications. The methodology of the research consists in the use of descriptive, historical-logical methods and the method of analysis. This methodological approach allows one to analyze rare books with the aim of studying them as a separate type of document, characterize the specificity of filling the content of publications of different periods, the features of the presentation of printed material, and contribute to the cognition of social life in the period under study.

The theme of the article is the analysis of traditional and electronic sources of information laid down in the Silesian Library. That includes bibliographies of Silesia and the Regional Bibliography database of the Silesian Library. The history of the bibliography is discussed and the possibilities offered by the database are presented – creating network connections between bibliographic records and full texts published in digital libraries. Examples illustrating the content of the database are materials connected to religion related to the territory of Silesia.

Academic libraries are a special space, not only because of the type of users, but also because of their needs, which are subject to constant changes. The library is an important part of the structure of the university by supporting individuals in conducting scientific research and improving the quality of education. Service of users through sharing collections in traditional and electronic form is one of the basic services in the library and information system. Modern technologies allow for the introduction of solutions aimed at improving access to sources of knowledge and accelerating the implementation of library services towards greater user satisfaction. The activity of the Local Lending Department, the Interlibrary Loan Department, the Main Library Branch on the campus at Wóycickiego Street and the Warsaw Borrowing System BiblioWawa contributes to increasing the level of services provided and improving the quality of education.

Thanks to the rapid development of technologies for mobile phones and other portable devices (tablets, iPods, etc.), as well as the evolution of mobile applications, what was until recently a dream now it’s a reality. We can now take a virtual tour through libraries and museums and even glance inside their treasure vaults, browse digital editions of old and rare books, examine important historical documents or manuscripts, read scientific articles online, or simply work through pending paperwork from our homes or any other place, at any time of the day or even night. The aim of this paper is to examine different types of applications and their possible use in different library services. The main intention of this paper is to encourage libraries to transform their operations by following modern trends, having in mind that almost every library user today has a mobile phone and actively uses its applications. The first part of the paper is dedicated to different types of mobile applications and their characteristics, while the second part presents several examples of good practices in the use of mobile applications in different types of libraries, both in Serbia and abroad.

Ever since a state of national emergency has been declared in the Republic of Serbia, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many things have changed in the domain of culture. Even though affected by the cancellation of various events: literary evenings, book promotions, exhibitions, public discussions, workshops, and so on, public libraries were tasked with overcoming the crisis and not giving up on their mission. This paper presents the activities of the Public Library “Vladislav Petković Dis” in Čačak from March to September 2020, with special emphasis on the programs that have been organized in new circumstances caused by the health situation. Among other things, there are examples of how some of the Serbian libraries recompensed the lack of program activities by stepping into the online world. Having become a creator of new services and values, the Čačak Public Library designed a summer program “Listen carefully, I am reading you a story!” that was broadcast on the Library's Facebook page and YouTube channel during August and September. The new summer program scheme ensured the continuity of the work and expanded a range of activities, making cultural content available at the time when audience gatherings could only be organized on social networks and the internet. Activities like this send a clear message to the public that culture is unstoppable.

As we might think that we know everything of dogs, for dog domestication took place tens of thousands years ago and dogs have accompanied the humans since then, both at work and at home – kynology has developed greatly over the years. The article aims to answer the questions of the thematic scope that is of interest to kynologists, where they retrieve information from and what omissions have been disclosed in the selected sources. Along with theoretical considerations the article presents the results of the questionnaire on the sources of kynological information. As predicted, the most popular medium was the Internet. The respondents have also provided a list of reservations concerning the contents of the selected literature and are willing to further extend knowledge on dogs.

The urgency of this problem is due to the fact that the Kazakhstani market for artificial intelligence is at the initial stage of development. The main obstacle to the introduction of artificial intelligence is the unpreparedness of managers of small and medium-sized businesses for the application of artificial intelligence technologies and, of course, the high cost of their implementation. In the study, we proceeded from the key thesis that business in Kazakhstan is striving for digital transformation. We set a goal to determine the attitude and degree of readiness of Kazakhstani business to the implementation and practical application of artificial intelligence, to describe the cases of using artificial intelligence by Kazakhstani business, to identify the main questions that arise in business at this stage, to study the legal aspects of using artificial intelligence in business and to present the big picture compliance / inconsistency of the existing legal framework with the goals and objectives of the development of artificial intelligence, provide recommendations for eliminatinge xisting barriers and stimulating businesses to implement the technology. Within the framework of this study, the concept of artificial intelligence is defined in its broadest sense - as a set of technologies for processing various types of data and information, in particular those capable of interpreting such data, extracting knowledge and using it to achieve certain goals.
