- Summary/Abstract:The article discloses the nature and role of social insurance in the context of political, economic and social instability. It examines the social insurance as a mechanism for ensuring social security of the working-age population. The article reveals the essence of social risks, as the basis for the functioning of the social insurance system. In addition, analysis of social risks that affect the socio-economic condition of the working-age population of Ukraine. The clause reviews the functioning of the social insurance system in modern conditions. The key challenges of improving the functioning of the social insurance system were determined as a mechanism to ensure the social security of the population.

- Summary/Abstract:The purpose of this article is to show the relationship between the changes occurring in the labor market and safety at work. In this paper the analysis of statistical data of the Central Statistical Office and the Central Register of Occupational Diseases. Such an aim was subordinated to the structure of the work, which consists of four parts. In the introduction presents the justification for the topic. In the second part of the study will be presented to analyze the changes in the labor market. The rail section provides an analysis of the current occupational accidents and diseases in the various sectors of the economy. The conclusions regarding the contemplated subject are presented in the last part of the paper.

- Summary/Abstract:Spatial diversity in the labor market and the associated disparities in access to employment are the differentiating factor of the development opportunities and living conditions of the population and slowing down the processes of economic divergence. Given the role of work in the development processes, these problems are reflected in regional policy and cohesion policy of the European Union and Poland. - Summary/Abstract:This paper presents estimates of the costs of employers, they incur when employing people with disabilities. Hiring such people and the development of various forms of rehabilitation associated with that requires from employers providing significant benefits and, consequently results in additional costs which do not apply to other entities. Therefore, the systems compensating for those costs from public funds was established. The system includes a refund for creating new or adapting existing workplaces, training and retraining of workers with disabilities, recruitment and general help for disabled workers. Besides, such fund (PFRON) refunds the cost of salaries and social security contributions of the employees with a certain type of disability. Unfortunately the use of such instruments generates costs, which significantly affect the functioning of the entire system. The presented analysis shows the increase of both overall costs and costs per capita for employers and PFRON.

- Summary/Abstract:The direction of structural changes on rural areas connected with a transformation of a system in 90's of the XX century points on a new situation on a domestic labour market and the need of diversification of labour demand. This process could be supported by activating of local markets, a rise of shareholders or activating of females on a rural area. The problem seems to be of a significant importance considering the fact, that at the end of January 2013 job centers recorded 1010,2 of unemployed living on rural areas. In comparison with January 2012, the number of unemployed living on the rural area has risen by 8,1%. The percentage of unemployed living on the rural area was 44%. The majority of unemployed were females. In a structure of populace's economic activity, illustrated with the use of key indicators, the dominance of males over females can be noticed.

- Summary/Abstract:The mechanisms of state support of agriculture in developed countries are considered in the articles, and how they contribute on rural employment are disclosed. The examples of state support for rural development activities in the US, Canada, France and India are shown. Particular attention is paid to the program approach in solving the problems of rural employment. Providing employment in rural areas in Ukraine is offered in the framework of the concept of multifunctionality of agriculture, diversification of the rural economy, expanding the scope of application of labor in rural areas, the spread of non-standard forms of employment, encourage entrepreneurship, strengthening state support of small and mediumsized producers, supporting their cooperation.

- Summary/Abstract:The article contains examples of contemporary Polish studies upon educational and vocational mobility of people suffering from various categories of disability. These were often inter-disciplinary studies; their results made it possible to identify the objectivised social and economic situation of the abovementioned social group. In consequence, they allowed to formulate appropriate recommendations and to specify their various, future, potential applications. The authors presented three selected studies concerning various social and economic spaces – local, regional and trans-regional. The characteristics of particular studies include setting forth the purpose of the study, methodology of studies, and their formal and substantive scope, as well as the presentation of the studies’ outcomes within these areas of educational and vocational mobility which are the focus of our interest.

The room for improvement in the state unemployment regulation mechanism was determined. Especially it considers the regulation of youth unemployment and prioritizing the goals of government policy. - Summary/Abstract:This paper presents the results of empirical studies conducted on University of Zielona Góra. The aim of the study was to diagnose the extent to which students are characterised by being entrepreneurial. It is one of the three pillars, in addition to innovation and creativity, on which a knowledge-based economy relies. Enterprising person is creative, independent, persistent and consistent in achieving goals, has high self-esteem and is willing to take responsibility not only for themselves but also for others. Such person should not be afraid to make decisions (often risky ones), can work in a group, as well as should know how to recognise opportunities where others may not see them. The survey results indicate that students have an entrepreneurial spirit, and are willing to start their own businesses and take risk associated with it. They are driven by different motivations and recognise the limitations associated with running a business.

- Summary/Abstract:The article analyzes the prospects for implementing II funded pillar of the pension system in the air transport industry of Ukraine in terms of creating a cumulative pension fund for current employees of the air transport enterprises. To implement this strategic direction of improving the effectiveness of human capital management of the air transport enterprises, a public-private partnership mechanism in the pension provision of the air transport employees is proposed. The purpose of a scientific article is to justify the need for such public-private partnership mechanism. Comparative methods and systems analysis are used to conduct the research.
