- Summary/Abstract:This study addresses the issue of teaching Orthodox Religion in general education from the Republic of Moldova, at the current stage, in the vision of teachers. For this purpose, a questionnaire of composite items was applied, which identified the strengths and vulnerabilities of the teaching process. Being an optional subject in the curriculum and not enjoying teaching traditions in the context of public education, Religion is not a priority for the vast majority of educational actors. In this sense, the interest and motivation of students and parents are to be educated, and the saving mission of the Faith and the Church to be promoted. The conclusions of the study can contribute to the improvement of educational policies, but also to the awareness of decision makers, including school administrations, on which depends, in general, the fate of our discipline.

- Summary/Abstract:The implementation of online education has roughly the same beginnings as the Internet. Without being new, therefore, education in the online system - adopted selectively and optionally, depending on the needs and possibilities of different geographical areas of the world - has become, as a result of the medical context generated by COVID-19, part of the educational reality of any student and teaching staff respectively. An extreme situation that required the adaptation and instant reconfiguration of methods of knowledge transmission and evaluation within the institutionalized training process. Beyond the component of replacing the physical space of the class/course with a domestic environment, (a variable of great psychological impact on the subjects) there is the problem of adjustment, respectively reception and reproduction (through evaluation) of informational contents in an exclusively non-interactive manner proved to be the real challenge. One that everyone involved in the didactic process had to face, this time the "selective" and "optional" criteria becoming imperative. Even though before the start of the period in question, the e-learning system was an integral part of the educational process, it operated in a hybrid manner, with participants having the possibility of direct collaboration. The new reality, translated by cancelling these possibilities, brought with it profound transformations, especially at the cognitive, behavioural, and relational level. How the students understood to report this new reality from the perspective of ethical behaviour objectifies this article.

- Summary/Abstract:Inquiry-based learning is considered a learning framework valued by researchers but less used by teachers, despite the fact that it has been promoted since the mid-19th century. Teaching by investigation includes methodological approaches specific to scientific inquiry, such as asking questions, documenting, testing personal ideas, solving problems, and concluding. There is no single framework for teaching by investigation, the inquiry approach being modeled by practitioners according to the proposed goals. The aim of this study is to investigate how future teachers for elementary and preschool education, involved in a distance training, design an inquiry-based learning model. The topics studied were left to the students' choice. The sampling was convenient, with 124 subjects participating in the research. The tool used in the research was an inquiry-based learning activity analysis grid. The obtained results show that the steps of formulating the assumption / hypothesis and of designing the testing of hypothesis are the most deficient. Participants face difficulties in formulating hypotheses and in substantiating them on the results of primary documentation or in correlating them with research questions. Furthermore, the testing is not correlated with the assumption or hypothesis made.

- Summary/Abstract:In this study, we intend to emphasize the role of the Religion lesson in the formation of the student’s moral character, in a modern context, which is not exactly appropriate to achieve this goal. We will focus in our endeavor on several aspects such as: the Religion teacher, the person who proposes and coordinates the lesson; the Religion class – a spiritual meeting between the teacher and his students, the Religion professor – the evaluator of the lesson; the student – the subject of the lesson; the cooperation between the teacher and the students for the best progress of the lesson and not only these. The Religion class has a formative dimension, even in the contemporary context of the educational process, which goes beyond the didactic environment. It reaches its full goal only when the students become interested and practicing, when they become aware of the fact that they belong to the mystical Christ’s Body– the Church.

- Summary/Abstract:This paper highlights the importance of critical thinking in an era of rapid change. Critical thinking is a system of judgements that contributes to formulating conclusions, ideas, interpretations, and their applicability to concrete situations and problem-solving. Therefore, the educational approach aimed at developing critical thinking in students combines two different dimensions, namely, the axiological and the cognitive dimensions. Based on these directions, we propose the "4 What" strategy for the development of critical thinking in students. The strategy involves a matrix of four interrelated components: critical thinking development attitudes, critical thinking development skills, manifestations of critical thinking behaviour, and critical thinking development methods, as well as ten stages reflecting the consecutiveness of the critical thinking process.

- Summary/Abstract:Among the novelty elements that contributed to the thorough rethinking of human life between 2020-2022, a central role was played by an object with a protective role: the mask. If humankind learned numerous rules, notions, concepts, evolution algorithms of COVID-19, etc., of which some either changed along the way or were abandoned and replaced with others, the obligation of wearing a mask has remained an important constant from the beginning and all through the period. In counterbalance, the positive effects – intensely disputable and discussed – of wearing this object have generated consequences at various levels of our personal and social life, including the therapeutic context, which is the object of the present article. Starting from a series of theoretical considerations on the communication between the specialist and the client/beneficiary, the role of the non-verbal dimension of language at the level of facial expressiveness is approached, with an accent, at the end, of several relevant aspects for the way in which the perception of the message is influenced under the authority of the protection mask.

- Summary/Abstract:Over time, it has been found that STEM education does not cover all areas of school knowledge necessary for the integration of today's students into tomorrow's society. The introduction of the arts and reading along with the exact STEM subjects was intended to increase interest in knowledge and learning. Service learning projects can be considered an efficient and innovative way of applying the integrated STREAM approach to the classroom. Through this study, we aim to investigate how teachers understand the INTEGRATED STREAM approach, and, respectively, the realization of this type of approach through service learning projects. The participants in the research were primary and secondary teachers who attended a two-week summer camp. The results show that: a) engineering and technology have raised issues for teachers regarding their didactic treatment, these areas being often confused; b) participants show high interest in applying the INTEGRATED STREAM approach in service learning projects.

- Summary/Abstract:Discrimination represents the prohibition or restriction of fundamental human rights and freedoms, becoming the reason for aggressive or undignified behavior, influenced by a lack of respect and consideration. In this context, the young people's perception of the phenomenon of discrimination based on religion or national origin in a multicultural educational environment is of interest. In connection with this, we conducted an opinion poll among Romanian, Russian, and Indian students studying at the „Nicolae Testemițanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy. According to the results, the problem of discrimination based on religion or national origin is not peculiar to young people, who are much more flexible in their behavior and thinking. They neglect ethnocentrism, stereotypes, and prejudices and realize that the peaceful coexistence of people belonging to different cultural backgrounds requires a tolerant environment.

- Summary/Abstract:In teaching a foreign language, building and developing language skills represent the instructors’ main aim. But developing skills would not be possible without teaching pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. According to the communicative approach, among these language components, vocabulary is considered to be of great importance, without diminishing the role of grammar and pronunciation in a foreign language. It is well-known that vocabulary provides learners with the necessary knowledge meant to help them to deliver both written and spoken messages, without having too much grammar or pronunciation knowledge. Thus, the purpose of the paper is to identify possible ways of improving students’ vocabulary in Romanian, especially when it comes to word formation, a process that does not only involve learning words but also using them creatively

- Summary/Abstract:Research related to family issues shows the importance of this educational institution in human life. Viewed by society more and more often as an individual, it becomes increasingly difficult for the church to form and develop the consciousness of man as a person capable of relating not only to those around him (family members or, more broadly, society), but also to himself, and especially to God. The challenges coming from society find less and less resistance to preserving the morality of the family, even among the parents, so, from our point of view, this is where the process of spiritual renewal should begin, by valuing on Orthodox Christian foundations the institution of the family, of the spouses in relation to each other, the parents’ valorisation of their own children's chastity before marriage and fidelity to each other within it.

- Summary/Abstract:As in the first paper with the same generic title, in this paper we propose, using logical deductibility relations and the method of analogy, to present some interesting results in Triangle Geometry. Thus, we consider a triangle ABC and the interior bisectors of the angles of the triangle, which intersect at point I and which intersect the sides of the given triangle at points A', B' and C', and the circumscribed circle of triangle ABC at A1, B1 and C1. Then, we will call the triangle A'B'C' the I-cevian triangle attached to the triangle ABC and the point I, and the triangle A1B1C1 we will call the I-circumcevian triangle attached to the triangle ABC and the point I. Using usual mathematical knowledge, valid in any triangle, but also the results presented in the first work mentioned above, we can obtain a series of very interesting geometric or trigonometric identities and inequalities, some of them very difficult to prove, synthetically. On the other hand, these new geometric or trigonometric relations introduced in certain derivable or only integrable functions, can involve a series of differential or integral identities or inequalities, particularly interesting. The work is, exclusively, of the Didactics of Mathematics and is addressed, equally, to pupils, students and teachers eager for performance, in this field of Mathematics or, in Mathematics, in general.

- Summary/Abstract:The non-formal education is a constantly evolving concept in all areas of education. Religious education makes no exception, and, therefore, the principles of non-formal education are to be applied also in the activities organized by the Church with the children and young people. This article focuses on presenting the most important principles of the non-formal activities and the value brought by these activities to the development of young people. Also, the article will present relevant examples of successful non-formal activities already applied within the Church. In a progressively modern world, the need for adapted tools increases. Thus, the tools in education must also be adapted to the requirements of the modern world, so that the new generation can receive and apply voluntarily its principles. For the Church, this does not mean that the religious principles have to change. It only means that the tools and instruments have to be adapted and used properly so that the new generation can embrace the Word of God and to apply the Christian principles of living in their current way of life.

- Summary/Abstract:Life and death are fundamental antinomian concepts of human existence. Life as a process of becoming gives us the chance to realize ourselves personally and professionally. Man's attitude towards the value of life, in different historical periods, was different: for the ancient man, life is a complex process, which sums up contemplative and moral aspects, which would help him delimit truth from falsehood, value from non-value, etc.; for the medieval man, the moral life is in close correlation with the observance of church canons, intelligence being defined as the main instrument of morality; for the modern man, life holds supreme value; the postmodern man is confused and uncertain, discussing contradictory issues related to the meaning and value of life in the context of multiple overlapping crises (spiritual, moral, political, etc.). The issue of the value of human life becomes an object of study of bioethics starting from the second half of the XX century. Bioethics has always been focused on ethical-moral norms and values, human life representing the supreme moral value.

- Summary/Abstract:Being a phenomenon of essential importance in the evolution of society, education has been the field of expertise of countless researchers in the field of educational sciences. Briefly, it can be stated that education is a social phenomenon that involves an endless chain of actions aimed at transmitting knowledge and life experiences from one generation to another in order to complete the harmonious development and active social integration of new generations. Since contemporary society is under the impact of globalization, education takes on new dimensions whose effects leave a considerable mark on the teaching principles and, implicitly, on the educational policies and paradigms. Thus, the purpose of the paper is to emphasize the dimensions of the Romanian education system, since it rallied to the European educational policies, in an attempt to implement relevant constructivist curricular changes.

- Summary/Abstract:Entering the profession is an important step for any young person who completes his or her studies, whether high school or university. The decision to enter the teaching profession is one of great responsibility, and the psycho-pedagogical and specialist training should facilitate professional insertion. The present study looks at the decision that young people with a bachelor's degree and a psycho-pedagogical training, current master's students, have taken to enter the teaching profession or not. One of the arguments expressed by young people for not yet entering into the teaching profession is the need for further psycho-pedagogical and specialist training, which could in fact cover at the young person an anxious structure. We understand anxiety as a feeling of fear experienced as a reaction to a stressful situation, accompanied by feelings that have a dysfunctional effect on the individual's mental life.

- Summary/Abstract:Theological works were the prevailing literary works during the early Middle Ages. For western Europe at that time, the Catholic Church was the intellectual center of society and was, by far, the most productive source of literary works. The main purpose of these works was to increase the religious influence of the church on people and to guide the behavior of the audience. Literature was also used as a means of propaganda for the values and deeds of a king or a people, as was the case with the chansons de geste. Many medieval literary works, from the chanson de geste and finishing to the chivalry novel, have a high theological symbolism and many details of the text may be used as a support for various reading methods. The central figure of the chivalry novel emphasized was the knight-errant, bringing forth a new set of virtues, different from the warrior’s heroism and fidelity towards the senior. The knight–errant was always on the quest to punish injustice, help the poor, and serve God and one lady of his heart. Spite all obstacles, the real quest of the knight-errant was spiritual perfection. His journey was full of fictional adventures set in the medieval west. Exile and madness, decay and redemption, as well as a perpetual journey are specific features of mythical characters revived in the medieval characters. The novel Yvain- the Knight with the Lion of Chretien de Troyes is full of biblical symbols. The present article aims to emphasize the biblical symbolism of the fountain, considered the source of new perspectives, of a new destiny, as well as a passage towards a new stage in the life of Yvain.

- Summary/Abstract:One of the most enduring tensions in human history has been the clash between the East and the West. This is not simply a geographical division, but a difference in worldviews that has led to much conflict over the centuries. The East is often seen as mysterious and inscrutable, while the West is associated with rationalism and progress. These differing perspectives have led to clashes on everything from political ideologies to economic systems. Even today, there is a great deal of mistrust between the East and the West, with each side looking at the other with suspicion and misunderstanding. However, it is important to remember that there is far more that unites us than divides us, and that we can learn from one another if we are willing to open our minds. This article is an in-depth analysis of the differences in mentality between East and West and contributes to a better understanding and explanation of the current tensions and conflicts on the European border. The war in Ukraine is not only a military conflict but also the expression of an accumulation of tensions between different mentalities and cultural models.

- Summary/Abstract:The innovation process is a complex activity of creating, developing, using and disseminating modern or modernized innovations (theories, methods, technologies, etc.). This is the process of transforming scientific knowledge into innovation, the process of constantly transforming an idea into a product, technology or service. The goal of the innovative processes is the development of the school as a pedagogical system and special social organization, the achievement of qualitatively new higher educational results and the increase of the competitiveness of educational institutions. This process is motivated, intentional, conscious, aiming to transfer the education system to a new qualitative state, in a way of development. This article addresses the issue of innovation in education, which is a superior, primary product of pedagogical creativity, validated by its originality and confirmed relevance at the social level, at the scale of the educational system and process. The article carries out an analytical review of the field of educational innovation. The situation of innovation in the education system is evaluated, how much it means reform of the system and how much innovation, but also how innovation can be stimulated in the education system. Innovation in education encourages teachers and learners to explore, research and apply all tools to discover something new. Innovation is an essential component for many economic, social and technical fields, and education is no exception to this.

- Summary/Abstract:Often the dilemma of novice teachers is related to the quality of student-teacher relationship. A good teacher is one who creates a safe and creative environment for students, which allows them to become confident and eager to learn. Thus, students will have the courage to express their emotions, personal opinions, without fear of being labelled. When students show they are “angry about a low grade” or reactions of anger/frustration towards other colleagues, that creates a situation of challenge for the beginner teacher. She or he has the chance to capitalize on both personal and professional abilities. The study presented in this article aims to identify the perception of beginning teachers regarding the management of relations with the group of students. The results fundaments a mentoring program that aimed to optimize the interaction between the beginning teacher and the students.

- Summary/Abstract:This research focuses on a contrastive critical and methodological approach applied to six well-known English and Romanian grammar books. The authors are interested to observe and interpret the strengths and limitations of the selected grammar books in order to identify educational strategies and stages to be taken when teaching grammar. A major attention was paid to the didactic contrastive scenario of teaching grammar. English grammars are descriptive, whereas Romanian grammars are rather prescriptive. - Summary/Abstract:The success of instrumental violin practice depends mostly on self-discipline, on the ability of the teacher to identify and correct technical and performance problems that arise during instrument lessons; they should actually be seen as a model for continuing individual practice at home. For a student to progress musically, the teacher must identify and decode the abundant flow of information that occurs when the student plays an instrument; the pedagogue must consider all aspects related to posture, sonority, technique, style and interpretation. Then, the elements that can be improved must be classified in order of their importance and solved punctually with the student in the shortest possible time, so that the practical solutions offered by the teacher can be practiced and assimilated at home in the privacy of the individual study.

- Summary/Abstract:An effective, sustainable learning is one that is based on the active participation of the student in discovering their information, meaning and usefulness. Teaching, in essence, involves the process of training students in training. The chemistry teacher is not just a source of information for students; he is at the same time the specialist who knows how to process this information, to process it in such a way as to adapt it to the thinking system of the learners, to make it assimilable. He also teaches them learning techniques that will allow them to self-instruct. Thus, the functions of teaching extend from the communication of information, which maintains an important role, to activities of organization, management and direction of learning, innovation of the educational process and didactic creativity.

The introduction points out that the pivot of Christian upbringing is man’s incorporation into the living Body of Christ in the sacrament of the Holy communion trough faith, communion, and grace of the Holy Spirit. Christian authors emphasize the fact that the goal of Eucharistic upbringing is achieving on over all alteration of the person which means transformation of the human mind, heart and will. The most important part of this process is the alteration of the heart as viewed by the Holy Fathers quoted in this paper, namely, St. John Chrysostom, St. Gregory Palamas and St. John Damascene, St. John of Kronstadt . The inference from their writings synthesizes the chief aspects of Eucharistic education which are: reaching „deification", acquiring the Holy Spirit as well as changing one’s life trough thanksgiving, repentance for wrongdoing and love for God and the fellowmen.

- Summary/Abstract:Abstract: The kindergarten and the family have an essential role in the harmonious development of the child. It is very important to have a close connection between the kindergarten and the child's family to be able to work together on his development. The kindergarten must always collaborate with the child's family, because the parents must be considered partners by the educator in the children's education, in the process of their development. Between the kindergarten and the family, there must be a permanent relationship of collaboration, which should be maintained through the realization of the educational partnership between the kindergarten and the family. The kindergarten-family educational partnership has an important role in the child's development, because through the activities within it, pluses are brought in the child's development. Both the kindergarten and the family have their well-established role in the kindergarten-family partnership and each one tries to do his part to be able to achieve something for the good of the children together, because this is the common goal of the two educational environments, that of working together on children's development, and to train him to be able to integrate into society. Therefore, the collaboration between the kindergarten and the family has a very important role in the harmonious development of the child. By means of these dimensions of development, the child orients himself and then operates with concepts indispensable for his development and integration towards other educational environments such as kindergarten and then school. The preschool period is the beginning of manifestation of the most important motor, cognitive and affective acquisitions, which, through specific activities and games, facilitate the formation of fine skills in the child and prepare him for the execution of the gestures that writing actually requires. The entire physical, cognitive and graphic evolution of the preschool child is correlated with the development of motor skills and the rest of the developmental dimensions, and relevant in this sense, on the dimension of stimulation and development of fine motor skills, are the child's scribbling, drawing and writing stage.

- Summary/Abstract:Nowadays, the student's identity is defined by relationships with others. In the multigrade class, the child's need for socialization is fulfilled both through his relationship with the adult (the teacher) and through his relationship with students of different ages. These relationships involve the assignment and assumption of responsibilities aimed at the formation and development of social behaviors indispensable to the future adult. The specialized literature calls these relationships tutoring: older students are involved, with responsibility, in helping the younger ones. Tutors now take on the role of teacher, a preferred role and one that contributes considerably to self-esteem. This type of collaborative strategy requires special tutor training. In the multigrade class, lack of time may lead to skipping this step, but the teacher will hold the students accountable by assigning them small tasks to ease their work during a class day.

- Summary/Abstract:The moral education aims at the formation of the individual according to the norms and rules that define the relationships between people, to the values promoted by a society. The moral profile of the personality is shaped by the family, developed by the school, and strengthened throughout the entire life. In this sense, schooling has a major importance, being the period when the automatisms on which the subsequent behavior habits will be built are formed. Moral education remains a great challenge in the current Romanian education. The peculiarity is given by the way in which the communist regime in Romania tried, and to a large extent succeeded, to use this classic dimension of education ideologically and practically, until 1989, when the political regime changed. In this context, our research aims to identify the place that moral education has in Romanian primary school, after more than 30 years since communism has failed. The results show that the moral dimension of education is a permanent concern of the teachers (85,1%), that it should have a specific subject in the curriculum (83,9%), and that teachers for primary school consider themselves responsible for the moral development of the students in the classes they manage (88,8%).

- Summary/Abstract:In this paper we present the qualitative aspects on the application of the moral model technique through active methods in the kindergarten activities. On this line, we interviewed a number of five preschool teachers from urban and rural areas, with different teaching degrees and different seniority. Following this interview, the teachers gave surprising answers regarding the feelings that the preschoolers show after the activities in which the moral model is used, the most frequent being: empathy, compassion, joy and love. Another important aspect revealed by the interview subjects was based on the change in children's behavior during activities where the moral model is used in combination with active methods, thus they become friendlier, more understanding, patient and actively involved in the activity. All five teachers interviewed answered that it is more effective to use the moral model technique in kindergarten activities for the formation of moral attitudes and behaviors in preschoolers, compared to other types of techniques and forms of organizing activities, motivating the answer by the fact that preschoolers have constantly need models, which we have to choose carefully, and combined with active methods, the activity is all the more interesting and captivating for them.

- Summary/Abstract:In contemporary society, children need a different way of relating, other stimulations, different ways of expressing emotions to ensure their well-being, which will give them the meaning of being loved, appreciated and truly included in the family and society in which they were born. In today's society, and even more so in tomorrow's society, the main predictor that ensures adaptation to adult life is not a high cognitive potential, but the ability to establish relationships with those around us. In this regard, we have proposed to create an intervention program that will develop the socio-affective skills of children, their level being appreciated by parents and children equally .This program aimed at the participation and active involvement of children in activities, to stimulate the expression of emotions, to communicate the mood of the other children, to favor the relationship, to share with others and to form an empathetic behavior in preschoolers. We followed in the study whether the intervention program influences the level of expression of positive and negative emotions reported by children depending on the time of the evaluation.

- Summary/Abstract:Preaching to contemporary Bulgarian flock, we sincerely believed that concerns as civil or world war and local or global pandemics are not highly likely to reappear from the near past of homiletics as holy church tradition. Church literature is rich in providing support to people in crises, but our generation hoped that in our lifetime in our advanced civilisation of post-post-modern age, such issues are not central to our life, because of value and cultural advancement. These years, global human society has been preoccupied with problems seemingly new to Orthodox spiritual healing tradition. The emergent global situation challenged especially those of us who had grown up yet in the 20th century, or before Internet, social media, and artificial intellect. And nowadays the risk of our preaching effectiveness is not only to sound outdate, and be unable to meet recent needs of our parishioners. Loss of interest in church preaching is even milder problem, than the danger to reach the hearts of believers by a homily leading to troubles as discrimination or incrimination, and church message that is populist and ideologised and could divide and polarise Eucharistic community. Given that we had reached certain homiletic effectiveness, but suddenly we were influenced by civic spirit, it is better for our parishioners to be rigid to our messages for some time, as they manage to overcome media noise and fake news, instead of leaving church gathering.

- Summary/Abstract:Research on contemporary innovative pedagogical practices of Bulgarian parochial education relies on insufficient and inconsistent data. Every church community has responsibility and system of teaching its parish Orthodox values with regard of human rights. Church instruction of children, youth, and adults is not a process of provoking anything incompatible with human rights and social peace. Nevertheless, critical circumstances in last several years demonstrated that such tendencies can appear, when both flocks and pastors are under enormous pressure. Still, in my dissertation we have chosen methodologically not to focus on any negative aspects of the problems of Bulgarian Orthodox schooling and catechetic instruction at churches during last several decades. Scholarly objectiveness also requires that we are aware of obstacles, and stay optimistic, adequate, reflexive, analytical, and systematic, oriented to the future and the better, according to values, and keep building good perspectives and relations. Human rights defence can only support our church subculture within traditional local culture.

- Summary/Abstract:Axiological education is education for and through authentic values, validated socio-culturally, practically, with the help of reconsidering the instructive-educational process in a value sense. The whole world opts for an education that would be focused on prospective and continuous availability, for knowledge and action, for the cultural perfection of the human personality, for reflection, active and critical spirit, for the creative and optimal adaptation of man to the social context, in permanent change. Axiological pedagogy goes beyond the classical side of education for and through values and adds another important objective: the theoretical and practical study of training for valorization, for the acquisition and practice of value criteria in the critical assessment of various aspects of education, self-education. At the same time, it highlights aspects related to the knowledge of values, their selection, ordering in relation to the definition of the goals of personality formation, the specification of the means of achievement, the coordination of processes, the application of value criteria in all educational actions, for their evaluation and optimization. The diachronic perspective of the students' literary-artistic axiology follows the concepts of value/literary-artistic value, being addressed the problem of defining literary-artistic values/values from a philosophical, social, anthropological and pedagogical perspective, which resulted in an own definition of literary value - artistic. Literary-artistic values are examined in direct relation with the notion of text and work, as well as with the reading activity of the reader and the teacher of Romanian language and literature. A special compartment is devoted to the comparative study of values, and another to interculturality, examined from the perspective of literary-artistic values, establishing that interculturality is an implicit feature of any literary work.
