- Summary/Abstract:Cieľom nášho príspevku je predstaviť potenciál územia Slovenska pre jeden z tradičných spôsobov trávenia voľného času na území bývalého Československa a významnú súčasť domáceho cestovného ruchu, ktorou je druhé bývanie. Príspevok sa venuje priestorovému rozmiestneniu objektov druhého bývania a vyčleneniu potenciálne vhodných oblastí pre druhé bývanie, s dôrazom na chalupárenie. Hoci si uvedomujeme zložitosť problematiky a nedokonalosť použitej metódy vyčlenenia tohto typu objektov individuálnej rekreácie, pri analýze vychádzame z údajov o domovom fonde, získaných zo Sčítania obyvateľov, domov a bytov v roku 2001, pričom pracujeme predovšetkým s kategóriou neobývané domy v jednotlivých obciach Slovenska. Okrem existencie samotných objektov do skúmanej problematiky vstupuje aj ďalší dôležitý aspekt druhého bývania, a tým je dostupnosť potenciálnych cieľových oblastí zo zdrojových oblastí rekreantov, ktorými sú predovšetkým obyvatelia väčších mestských sídiel. V neposlednom rade nemožno opomenúť aj ďalšie faktory rozvoja druhého bývania v ťažiskových oblastiach, ktorými sú najmä prírodné predpoklady, ale tiež možnosti rekreačných aktivít v oblastiach s koncentráciou objektov druhého bývania.

- Summary/Abstract:The aim of this paper is to assess approaches to the issue of destination management in foreign countries and in the Czech Republic. The fundamental stone of the contribution is basic terminology that is firstly focused on the term destination and its regionalization. Then terms destination management and tourist organization (destination management organization) are defined based on the German, Anglosaxon and Czech experience. The following part deals with specifics, functions and principles of destination management process. Finally, the development of destination management in the foreign countries is presented with the stress on obstacles that occure when appling destination management into practice.

- Summary/Abstract:The article is dealing with the design of optimal method for the analysis of the investment project of tourism firm and with the calculation of efficiency plans by substitution under conditions of uncertainty and risk. It recommends a method of investment income and expenses determination and on their basis anticipated profit or loss of investment. For the calculation of cash flow it recommends indirect method and suggests which of the selected indicators of dynamic methods should be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the investment project. It appoints possible factors of uncertainty and risk, and then suggests a procedure for analysis of the impact of individual factors on profit or loss and selected indicators of effectiveness.

- Summary/Abstract:The economic crisis affected also tourism and caused the decrease of demand for hotel services in Slovakia. Hoteliers should respond to this situation by adaptation of price and price strategies. From all the marketing tools, it is price that reacts the most sensitive to external and internal changes of conditions at the market. The objective of the article is to define possible approaches to the pricing in hotels during the recession; we come out from the microeconomics models of maximizing profit. We characterize the yield management and clarify the costs and demand orientated strategies, consumer value added, competition strategy, strategy of price discrimination, graduation pricing strategy and the strategy of two component prices. We suggest the use of appropriate models according to the specified conditions.

- Summary/Abstract:Satelitní účet cestovního ruchu (Tourism satellite account = TSA) poskytuje informace a data o ekonomickém postavení odvětví cestovního ruchu. Jedná se o soustavu tabulek, kterými jsou popsány hlavní ekonomické charakteristiky cestovního ruchu (údaje o poptávce a nabídce, zaměstnanost, tvorba hrubého fixního kapitálu, společenská spotřeba cestovního ruchu či nepeněžní ukazatele), a které tímto způsobem zasazují cestovní ruch mezi ostatní odvětví v soustavě národních účtů.Kromě představení historie sestavování satelitního účtu cestovního ruchu na ČSÚ, a přiblížení základního metodologického konceptu a struktury tohoto nástroje, se příspěvek věnuje rovněž analýze doposud získaných výsledků, tzn. zhodnocení hlavních makroekonomických ukazatelů cestovního ruchu v České republice v období 2003-2008 (vč. výstupů modulu zaměstnanosti cestovního ruchu).

- Summary/Abstract:Factors of tourist satisfaction were studied by data collected by on-site questionnaire surveys. Satisfaction with travel experiences was measured on a 5-point scale of answers to the question: Was this visit worth your time and effort? Emotional states were measured by both Mehrabian-Russell semantic differential 7-point scales of pleasure-arousal-dominance and information-rate measures. Data was gathered on 26 water-based mountainous and submontane localities of 10 types. 64 interviews were performed in each of the cited localities. Differences were found among the types of locality in case of both all surveyed attributes of an emotional component of feeling and their confirmative tool (One-way ANOVA). Factor analysis of the emotional component of feeling confirmed the original dimensions: pleasure, arousal, dominance. The same method was used to specify four factors of the environmental perception: complexity, regularity, novelty a density. The application of multiple linear regression pointed out the dimensions, ‘pleasure’, ‘common environment’, and ‘regularity’ to be the most important factors of satisfaction.

- Summary/Abstract:The financing of incoming and domestic tourism is considered to be one of the principal issues of the tourism development in the Czech Republic, not just because of setting up the financing system, but particularly regarding the effectiveness monitoring. There are doubts up to now, how many esp. public funding flow into the tourism as the costs for its tourism development, what is the result, and if it is possible to speak about an effectiveness. The economical impact of tourism, esp. incoming and domestic tourism, is interpreted as a profit for the tourist destination. The assessment of the economical impact of the tourism as well as the assessment of the costs for tourism development should be crucial. The cost benefit analysis can be the proper tool for matching both sides with respect to positive as well as negative impact of tourism including appointment of beneficiaries. The cost benefit analysis has also to include impacts, which are not included in the tourism satellite account. The cost benefit analysis is considered to be an important indicator of effectiveness of tourism financing in a destination, esp. in relation to public funding.

- Summary/Abstract:In introduction the approaches to defining rural space are briefly presented and some rural characteristics pointed out. This entry is followed by list of most serious problems of rural areas, especially peripheries. Article offers review of chosen approaches to rural development and diversification of agriculture. It mentions the significance of municipal authority and communal policy quality, the importance of ICT development and especially the role of rural tourism and it specific forms. Production regionalisation – creating network of local producers and promoting locally specific products can be a suitable way in todays world of globalisation, unification and anonymity of production. Environmental function of rural economy and taking care of lanscape is important as well. The article tries to find an answer on question, which steps is needed to do to make rural areas more attractive for inhabitants, young people, entrepreneurs or tourits and to stabilize rural economy and settlements. It is obvious, that rural development has many dimensions – economic, geographic, demographic, environmental, social, cultural, urbanistic, architectonic, but psychological as well.

- Summary/Abstract:Satelitní účet cestovního ruchu je již v současné době známým a používaným nástrojem pro měření dopadů cestovního ruchu na národní hospodářství. Mnoho zemí po celém světě se snaží více či méně úspěšně naplňovat TSA tzn. jeho deset základních tabulek, ne jinak je na tom i Česká republika, které se to již daří na velmi dobré úrovni. Nyní však přichází fáze, kdy by se takto pracně získané údaje měly dále využít a mělo by se s nimi dále pracovat. Přichází tak fáze tzv. regionalizace satelitního účtu cestovního ruchu. Data na regionální úrovni podpoří kvalifikované rozhodování o investicích do cestovního ruchu, o cílech finanční podpory jak ze státních, unijních či mezinárodních zdrojů, o cílech podpory jednotlivých regionů v integrovaných plánech rozvoje území, atd.

- Summary/Abstract:The article is focused on entrepreneurial climate in chosen sector of tourism in South Moravia, namely the accomodation. On the grounds of the surveys from years 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2010, it tries to find out evolutionary trends of entrepreneurial climate in sector of accomodation and evaluate its actual situation. Surveys mentioned above predominantly focus on evaluating turnover and profit of entrepreneurs, positive and negative influences on their business, utilization of room capacity in accomodation facilities, average lenght of stay or visitors structure.

The first part deals with the two main ideological approaches to economy which are followed by approaches to tourism public policy itself. The existence of public sector intervention into tourism sector and its practical embodiment in the form of tourism public policy is advocated from macroeconomic and microeconomic percpective. Main arguments against the intervention of public sector into tourism are discussed subsequently. Following text describes the practical form of public sector policy in recent mixed economies, including its executors, targets and tools. The last part of article is dedicated to the assessment of tourism public policy.

The basic theoretical background of destination marketing is outlined in the first part of the paper. The main issues of destination marketing in the Czech Republic are identified, especially in the context of promoting marketing-oriented projects undertaken by the Regional Operational Programmes.

The Southern Bohemian Route of Industrial Heritage was invented around the Anchor Point of Schwarzenberg Channel because of its importance in European heritage and its location next to the boarders to Germany and Austria, from where many tourists and visitors come to see this region. The Route was called Water / Wood / Glass from Český Krumlov in the Bohemian Mountains. The second route is located in the surroundings of Hluboká nad Vltavou and it shows the technical and industrial sights in the city of České Budějovice and goes to the north. The third Anchor Point creates the Třeboň pond system, in which neighborhood are many interesting industrial attractivities of south Bohemia.

- Summary/Abstract:Regional competitiveness in the tourism sector is depend on the cooperation of stakeholders to increase the quantity and quality of products and services. The general problem is the lack of qualified tourism workers. Interdependence and cooperation of stakeholders will should lead to a process in which they would be sharing of experience and knowledge with the current emphasis on the need to create new job opportunities. The article deals with a brief analysis of the new European Union approaches, which direct to improve the performance of the tourism industry by promoting the development of a modern, knowledge-based regional economy. The aim is to analyze and evaluate possible tools for learning and training to support the development of tourism. The essay should demonstrate the possibility of applying the model Tourism Learning Areas in practice selected regions of the country to ensure its sustainable development.

- Summary/Abstract:The contribution deals with regional identity and identity of regions and focuses not only residents but also temporary users (holiday-makers, second home owners) and research methods. The questionnaire structure is presented, with the objective to analyze interactions among groups of actors in the municipalities, position and attitudes of second n home owners and users. Essential results from field surveys are assessed. Also the primary elaborations indicate significant roles of temporary residents in forming of regional identity and identity of regions.

- Summary/Abstract:In general it is held true that concerning destinations the quality is what a customer wishes to have, plus what the destination wants and is able to offer in addition for differentiating and profiling its offer compared to its competitors. Within the frame of the destination the quality has to be secured by all co-creators of the service chain and at the same time these providers must feel the responsibility for this quality. The general quality is cared for by the management of the destination and the main partners in the region. The article deals with increasing the quality of a tourist destination by force of implementing integrated quality management (IQM), the meaning of which is monitoring the quality, its comparison in time and sustainable improvement. The quality of a tourist destination can be measured by the tool called Qualitest. It is a manual for measuring qualitative performances of a tourist destination. Four key elements of IQM can be measured by it (tourists´ satisfaction, service providers’ satisfaction, the quality of local inhabitants´ lives and the quality of environment). The objective of the article is to specify conditions for implementing IQM in a tourist destination and to suggest a methodical procedure for evaluating the quality of a destination by Qualitest suitable for the conditions in the Czech Republic. The practical application of the methodology mentioned above is the subject of further research.

- Summary/Abstract:Tourism as one of the most important sectors of the world economy significantly affects the view on the strategic development of cities and regions. This paper briefly indicates the necessary conditions and opportunities for tourism development in the city of Brno and describes forms of managing of this important field of the local economy. The need for true cooperation among subjects interested in tourism is even more important than in other areas. The global trends in tourism fundamentally affect development of tourism in the city of Brno. For local government, it is necessary to realize the importance of impact of tourism on the economic prosperity of the city / region and to create a clear identity of the destination. The ,,heart“ of each city, especially for the tourism industry is its center, which is targeted this article.
