The paper surveys the key moments and the most important philosophical positions defended by Russell on the issues of analysis during the years 1896 – 1911. The dramatic changes of his thinking and attitudes are illustrated with emblematic paradoxes and difficulties on his way from Absolute idealism through Platonic realism to Logical realism. Considerable emphasis is put on Russell’s celebrated On Denoting, 1905, as a classical example of employment of logical resources to the analysis of language to eliminate putative denoting phrases which denote nothing.

This paper explores the semantics of possible worlds where the rules for the trans-world identification of objects are considered. Different logical theories on the meaning and reference of the name will be considered in the context of the semantics of the possible worlds. The purpose of this study is to show whether the meaning of a name is a criteria for trans-world identification. If the answer to this question is positive, it would mean that the category meaning is objective.In order to answer this question, some philosophical theories on how a definition is formed and how intent and extension are understood will be considered. The aim is to explain how we understand the meaning of the terms objectively, which could serve as a criteria for trans-world identification of objects.

The text presents the activities on an inter-school initiative “Read Me!”, realized during the school year 2016/2017. Non-traditional approaches and techniques are introduced to encourage reading among primary school students in more than 100 schools from different localities in Bulgaria. Included are also activities, realized with pupils from the 3d class, related to the development of creative writing skills as an integral part of the author’s understanding of the notion of literacy.

The present showing of a practical lesson aims to share a good practice for conducting open type of lesson in the 6th grade in order to show good methodical practices in front of teachers in geography and economics. The main task of the lecturer was to present a model for realization of competencies. The expected results of the training on the topic “Climate and Water of South America” were: – formation of competencies and behavioral patterns for reading of the climatogram and hydrogram using a rule;– retrieving information from different geographic sources (cartographic, graphic);– assessment of waters of the continent of South America as a condition of preserving life and a factor for economic activities.

For several years, we work as a team on health education, healthy lifestyles and nature conservation topics. The aim is to build positive and stimulating environment for each child to reveal with no concerns his thoughts and ideas. To express his personal “Myself”. The challenge was to make our young pupils willing and interested to participate in the various activities related to the topics. For integrating them into certain problems, we used different traditional and innovative methods and forms. The environmental education is connected to development of a contemporary type of behavior. Children must enter life with the feeling that the world is beautiful and cozy and the interaction with nature improve their sensitivity for aesthetic and moral values.

In the present paper the results of several assessment questionnaires carried out with the participants of the Training School within the frames of Operational Program “Science and education for intelligent growth” are discussed. The goal of the questionnaires was to perform an objective assessment of the aims of the School, the level of the lecturers and the topics offered as well as the organization of the event. The data from the questionnaires were treated by the use of multivariate statistical methods (hierarchical cluster analysis) which makes it possible to reveal latent relationships between the type of assessment given as well as between the groups of participants. Important conclusions about the level of lecturing and topics presented with respect to some characteristics of the participants – mainly age, interest and engagements.

Bulgaria’s membership in the European Union places on imperative level the problems of the efficiency of the Bulgarian education system, of the quality and competitiveness of our education. In view of the current crisis in Bulgaria with the provision of highly qualified staff for the economy and the problematic system of vocational education, it is imperative to pay attention to developed countries for useful lessons and practices. From a socially functional point of view, the dual system of education in Germany shows some advantages in resolving the crisis with the lack of staff in Bulgaria and in providing structured work and specific training. In addition, more attention should be paid to the progressive aspects of the US Vocational Education System to help Bulgaria develop a more informed and balanced strategy to improve its professional education.
