The purpose of the article is to study the ISO standards dedicated to the processes of digitization, conversion, and migration of documents. The objectives of the study are to determine the features of these standards, paying attention to their terminological sections. The methodology of the study was a set of general scientific, special scientific, and specific methods for studying the problems, the application of which allows us to achieve our goal. The principle of historicism, providing for the consideration of any phenomenon in its self-development under the influence of various factors, became the main one. In addition to him, research was based on the principles of objectivity and integrity. The use of a complex of scientific methods made it possible to establish the achievements and problems of standardization in the sphere of the documented processes, to find out the prospects for the latest research. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the fact that relies on the principle of foreign and domestic sciences and particular practices, in which problems of standardization in the sphere of quality are discussed, the authors of these standards are considered, and their attention is paid to the specific features. Conclusions. Among international organizations that have a significant influence on the development of domestic standardization, including terminology, the most authoritative is the International Organization for Standardization. Standards ISO/ TC 46 «Information and documentation» (Information and documentation) are issues of standardization of the activities of information centers, libraries, archival institutions, museums and commercial structures in the process of identification, description, storage and analysis of information, as well as document management and document management.
