GENÇLERİN HELAL GIDA HAKKINDAKİ ALGI VE FARKINDALIKLARINI BELİRLEMEYE DÖNÜK KEŞFEDİCİ BİR ARAŞTIRMA

The aim of this study is to reveal the perception and awareness of young people on the halal foods through exploratory research. In order to achieve this aim, a questionnaire survey was conducted on the students from Business Department of İnonu University and data collected by survey. To determine the dimensions of the perception and awareness of young people towards halal food, exploratory factor analysis was applied to the variables in the questionnaire. As a result of the analysis, it was observed that the data set was collected in four factors, health being the major factor. The most important problem about halal food in the world is that there is no unity in the interpretation of the concept halal. Despite this situation, halal food market is growing and globalizing. It is thought that the perceptions of young people towards halal food are the precursors of halal food purchasing behavior. Knowing the antecedents of young people's purchasing behavior will help those who engage in halal food production and marketing activities and will contribute to the increase awareness of the halal food consumers in Turkey, too.

VIX KORKU ENDEKSİNİN FİNANSAL GÖSTERGELER ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİSİ: TÜRKİYE ÖRNEĞİ

The VIX index, which is accepted as an indicator of global risk appetite, is followed by the financial makers of many countries. Because the changes in the VIX index affect many financial indicators in the national markets. In this context, the purpose of the study is to test whether the VIX index is an effect on a variety of financial indicators in Turkey. For this purpose, Granger (1969) causality analysis, Breitung and Candelon frequency causality analysis, and Johansen cointegration analysis were used. As a result of Granger causality analysis, it was determined that the change in VIX index was the cause of changes in BIST 100 index, dollar and Euro exchange rate, industrial production index, real sector and consumer confidence index, purchasing managers index and risk appetite index.

One of the strategic decisions of the managers in hotel establishments is the choice of the supplier to provide low cost, high quality product for the specified period. Considering many criteria at the same time, managers have to determine the most appropriate alternative which meets the company's needs and requests. This study has suggested a scientific approach to supplier selection process of the five star hotel located in Antalya. In order to solve the supplier selection problem this study suggested an integrated approach consisting of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and Goal Programming method. The integrated approach used in this study is expected to be beneficial in the selection of suppliers for different sectors and it might pave the way for further studies in this field.

With people’s becoming aware of healthy life and healthy diet today, more time has begun to be spared for sports activities and this lead to an increase in the demands of fitness centers where sports activities can take place. With this heavy demand, great investments have been made in many city centers to open fitness centers; however, it has also been observed that most fitness centers entered economically into challenging processes due to intense competition. For the continuity of fitness centers, it is important to retain the current customers as well as to gain new customers. The purpose of this study is to determine the significance levels (weights) of the effective criteria in evaluating the fitness centers with the information received from numerous decision makers (DM’s) through the SWARA method among the multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) methods; and to evaluate the fitness centers through the EDAS method among the MCDM methods by including the obtained criteria weights in the process. In case study, a total of 15 customers randomly selected from 3 different fitness centers that have the most customers in the Nazilli district of Aydin, which is the location of the application were taken as the DM’s.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of process management practices in food enterprises on business performance and 85 employees in food enterprises operating in Erzurum were examined in the operating environment. In this context, the level of implementation of process management in food businesses is examined by regression analysis and it is seen that process management practices have a significant effect on operational performance and sub-dimensions of operational performance (reduction of production and input costs, capacity, productivity, operational success, profitability, market share, growth rate, job priority, increasing communication skills, image and innovation) were found to be positively effect.

This study aims to analyze “bond calling insurance/guarantee” and its effects to the export volumes of countries. For that reason, firstly literature on letter of guarantees (bonds) is included in this study. After that, this study explained how to handle bond calling insurance/guarantees according to the literature. In the next step, export credit agencies who provide bond calling insurance/guarantee product are being analyzed. On the other hand, all details which are related with such Export Credit Agencies have been collected. Also, it is included that how much bond calling insurance/guarantee programmes effect their countries’ export volumes by taking into consideration of three Export Credit Agencies. According to the related data; it seems that such programmes’ share in total export volume is not significant and further researches are needed considering the implemented areas and sectors of bond calling insurance / guarantees.

FEN ÖĞRETİMİNDE HARMANLANMIŞ ÖĞRENME: AVANTAJLAR VE ÖĞRENCİ ALIŞKANLIKLARI

Face to face in-class learning and distance learning have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. Blended learning is based on the use of advantageous aspects of both learning environments. This research aims to determine the advantages and student habits of blended learning in science instruction.. Students enrolled in the third grade and enrolled in the Science Education course is the research sample. The study was carried out with students studying in preschool teacher education at the university level. 33 students who participated in the blended learning application within the scope of Science Education course participated in the prepared questionnaire. The questionnaire used as a data collection tool consists of two main parts. The first part aims to determine the advantages of blended learning (attendance, motivation, learning, preparation for exams)) and the second part aims to determine student habits in distance education practices (4 items). As a result of the descriptive statistical analysis, it was found that the blended learning has medium and above advantages for students. It was also found that students spend an average of 60 minutes per day working on the internet.

Hybrid entrepreneurship is thought to have a significant share in all entrepreneurial activities, with the idea that the individual can progressively shift from paid work to entrepreneurship while maintaining paid work. Entrepreneurs who want to establish their own business while paying jobs are ignored in the literature. This is one of the most rewarding causes of the study. Theoretical arguments about the importance of these entrepreneurs and why they are different from traditional entrepreneurs can contribute to the expansion of the literature. The changes in the labor market and the diversity of the working order have increased the interest in hybrid entrepreneurshis.

CEBİRE YÖNELİK GELİŞTİRİLEN TUTUM ÖLÇEĞİNİN GEÇERLİK VE GÜVENİRLİK ÇALIŞMASI

In this study, it was aimed to develop a scale that can determine the attitudes of prospective mathematics teacher towards algebra. So survey method is carried out in this study. The draft scale prepared for this purpose was applied to 362 prospective teachers who were educated at two state universities in elementary mathematics teacher education. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis were done for construct validity. As a result, it is seen that the scale consists of two factors. The Cronbach Alpha value for the scale was calculated to be 0,93. It can be said that the scale is a valid and reliable tool for determining the attitudes of prospective mathematics teachers towards algebra.

TÜRKİYE’NİN, BÖLGELERİN VE İLLERİN SAĞLIK DEĞİŞKENLERİ AÇISINDAN MEVCUT DURUMU VE SIRALANMASI

This study was carried out to determine the current situation and ranking of Turkey, regions and provinces in terms of health variables. The data of Health Statistics Yearbook 2016, issued by the OECD Health Statistics and Ministry of Health, was used in the study. Turkey, regions and provinces was examined in three groups in terms of health status, health services infrastructure and health care utilization. Descriptive statistical methods and factor analysis were used in the analysis of the data. It was determined that Turkey was ranked the 32nd in health status indicators, 35th in health service infrastructure indicators, 12th in health care utilization indicators and 30th in general category in the study. In the regional ranking, the Western Anatolia Region was ranked first in the health status, health service infrastructure and general category of three variables, and The Southeastern Anatolia Region was ranked last.

BYS KONGRELERİNİN KENDİNE ATIF AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

In this study that can be qualifies as a bibliometrics one, 80 articles, published in the special issues (2014, 2015 and 2017) of National Office Management and Secretarial (OMS) Congress in the Electronic Vocational School Journal, were investigated from the respect of the self-citation. The articles were handled in two sections as the synchronously self-citation and diachronously self-citation. The review related to diachronously self-citation was carried on via Google Scholar (on the 01.08.2018). The articles, beside the author self-citation, were examined from the respect of the congress self-citation. In the studies about the self-citation, it is seen that there are different types of the self-citation as author self-citation, journal self-citation, institution self-citation and country self-citation. However, the concept of the congress self-citation was used for the first time here and it adds a genuine value to the study.

THE QUR’AN AS A SOURCE OF HISTORY: A NEW APPROACH TO THE DATING OF THE QUR’ANIC PASSAGES

In this paper, we will introduce a method that we try to develop to detect the Qur'anic chronology in a way that is not speculative. For this we will use a method that matches the chronological knowledge we have and the expression patterns contained in the Qur'anic passages. In fact, it is argued that we can more accurately detect the chronology of expressions rather than the chronology data of passages on the basis of this method. Because the data concerning the history of Qur'anic passages are insufficient and controversial. We can be closer to the truth if we test the contradictions and alliances of the narrations and the evaluations at the level that the narrators and evaluaters never planned, that is, at the level of expression.

FUTBOL HAKEMLERİNİN KENDİNİ SABOTAJ DÜZEYLERİ

The purpose of this study is to determine the self-handicapping levels of active football referees in Corum. It was also aimed to examine the participants' self-handicapping levels by age, gender, year of profession, education level and income level. The subjects were the active football referees (N = 49) in Corum. The data were collected by using the 25-question "Self-Handicapping Scale", which was developed by Jones and Rhodewalt and adapted to Turkish by Akın. The data were analysed by using the percentage and frequency tables and the differences between the variables were examined by using ANOVA. Results: Significance level was determined as p<0.05. As a result, there was no significant differences (p>0.05) between self-handicapping scores according to participants' demographic data.

75. KIYÂME SURESİNİN 16-19. AYETLERİNİN ANLAŞILMA SORUNLARI ÜZERİNE

This study deals with the issues of understanding of 16-19th verses of Kıyamah Surah [75]. According to the traditional view, the verses are portrayed as the Prophet's attempt to replay the language with the fear of forgetting revelation during his revelation, and to try to memorize the words spoken to him. Today, however, these verses, contrary to the traditional understanding, are handled in a way that portrays the situation of sinful people in the hereafter. As a reason for such interpretation, it is shown that the verses of the subject matter do not comply with other passages of the surah. The main reason for defending this view is that the Qur'an is viewed and evaluated as a whole within itself.

MALİYET YAPIŞKANLIĞI HİPOTEZİNİN BİST İMALAT SEKTÖRÜ KAPSAMINDA TEST EDİLMESİ

Asymmetric response of costs to changes in activity level is expressed as cost stickiness. The purpose of this study is to test the cost stickiness hypothesis within the firms operating in BIST Manufacturing Sector. In this context, 1406 firms- year observations of 138 firms operating in BIST Manufacturing Sector have been analyzed. According to the findings, cost stickiness hypothesis is supported in the scope and period of the sample. According to the findings, operating expenses, which showed an increase of 0.62% against a 1% increase in sales revenue, decreased only by 0.44% in the period when a 1% revenue decrease was observed. Within the scope of the findings that are statistically significant, it is determined that operating expenses have asymmetric behavior in terms of income increase / decrease periods.
